As the Camera started recording, it opened on scene of Steven's bedroom, shaking as Steven wasn't the best at holding it steady. Placing it down on a desk, the image quickly changed to a different part of the room as he spun the camera and walked out into shot. Behind him, was a table that had been dragged into the centre of the room and a chair next to it. "Experiment number one. Attempting to bypass locks." Steven spoke towards the camera, feeling a little awkward that he was technically talking to himself. Then he walked around the table and sat at it.
"Lock one, old and simple lock." Steven spoke once more, lifting off the table as he said the inner working of a simple old lock. "Attempting to use ice to create a key." Steven explained, lifting the lock so it was in camera and placing his finger against the front of it. There wouldn't be much to see at first, but after a few moments Steven pulled his finger away from the front of the lock. Leaving a small trail of ice which he used as a handle and tried to turn it, while continuing to make the ice enter the lock. A couple minutes of unedited footage had Steven, simply sitting there try to turn the ice key, until there was click at last followed by movement as the lock came undone. Steven didn't celebrate the success however, the over use of his ice powers leaving him void of excitement for it working.
Tossing the lock over his head, Steven picked up another lock from the table and spoke once more, though his tone was now less full of life. "Lock two, modern." Steven didn't even explain the method he was going to try this time, instead just starting. Creating ice in one hand and fire in the other. Steven carefully used the two hand in order to make water and let it soak into the crack and gaps of air inside the lock itself. Then dismissing the fire in one hand, Steven exploited the fact water expanded when it was froze. Pointing his hand at the lock and blasting it with as much Ice he physically was able to.
This second lock took nowhere near as long to open, as the ice expanded, the metal also tried to contract from the harsh temperatures. Creating forces between the ice and metal and had nowhere to go. Eventually the lock jump a little on the table as it cracked. Lifting it up Steven examined the lock, not thinking that the job was done he leaned his face away and then poured fire onto the lock instead. This time rapid expansion of gases in the form of steam filled the lock, and the metal tried to expand once more from the sudden change in temperature. The was another snap and lock crack further.
Now heated up, his mind took this as a time to celebrate. Grabbing the lock from the table again, about to shout in celebration on to have it turn to a scream of pain. As the metal was still extremely hot, throwing away away fast as he could in front of him, an unlucky shot which hit the camera and then the video stopped.
