"What you quoted though, what was it from? Very cute!"

He decided to recite the entire quote for her. "If you cannot bear the silence and the darkness, do not go there; if you dislike black night and yawning chasms, never make them your profession. If you fear the sound of wear hurrying through crevices toward unknown and mysterious destinations, do not consider it. Seek out the sunshine. It is a simple prescription. Avoid the darkness." He paused to take a breath and recall the next half.

"It is a simple prescription, but you will not follow it. You will turn immediately to the darkness. You will be drawn to it by cords of fear and of longing. You will imagine that you are tired of sunshine; the waters that unnerve you will tug in the ancient recesses of your mind; the midnight will seem restful--you will end by going down."

He smiled when he finished. "Only that sentence and a half really applied, which is why I cut it. Still, its a fun quote. Not sure what it's from, but it was writen by Loren Eiseley." He leaned back, rubbing her back with his fingertips.

She smiled at the quote. "I liked it. It was well written."

She closed her eyes as his fingertips moved up and down her back. Then, she said, "Dangerous Beauty has a way of attracting itself to others. I didn't really picture you has dangerous... just... alone. But, you've definately got a wild streak in you right there." She pointed to his stomach, and move her finger upwards, stopping at the base of his neck. "I've seen it too." She laughed, and put her head on his shoulder, situating herself in a comfortable leaning position.

He laughed a little, enjoying her attention.

"I've seen it too."

"Oh really? And where was I?" He laughed his genuine laugh, followed by one of his dangerous grins. "I'm sure you havn't seen anything yet." He winked jokingly with another laugh.

"Oh really? And where was I?" He laughed his genuine laugh

His laugh was beautiful, and she loved it. She smiled radiantly at him.

"In the hallway with that young man, where you made him trip. That was a little on the wild side, if even a little."

She knew he was probably capable of being much more mischeivious than that, but it was the best she could come up with for her evidence of the 'wild streak'. Really, it was a gut impluse she got from him.

followed by one of his dangerous grins. "I'm sure you havn't seen anything yet." He winked jokingly with another laugh

She joined his laugh, and stuck her tongue out at his grin. "I'm sure I haven't! Especially with that grin!"

She smiled radiantly at him.

He couldn't help but return such a beautiful smile.

"In the hallway with that young man, where you made him trip. That was a little on the wild side, if even a little."

He shook his head. Thinking a moment, he slapped the arm of the chair in an idea, speaking in a rushed hush. "You know whats funnier than one person with bad luck? A bunch of people with bad luck in one spot. This fall dance thing coming up would be perfect!" His eyes shined dangerously, his grin almost scarey.

She noticed his smile. Gorgeous. She loved it when he genuinely laughed, or smiled for real, like it was really making him happy. She liked making him happy. Espcially because of his past.

"You know whats funnier than one person with bad luck? A bunch of people with bad luck in one spot. This fall dance thing coming up would be perfect!" His eyes shined dangerously, his grin almost scarey.

She laughed, and smiled curiously.

"Is this your wierd way of asking me to the dance?!" she laughed again.

"Is this your wierd way of asking me to the dance?!" she laughed again.

He laughed with her. "I guess it is... and an invitation to cause chaos. Either way, I'm sure you can't refuse." He winked with another laugh.

She laughed at him and smiled.

"You're right, I could never refuse such an offer! So, care to elaborate such mischief?" She laughed, "Looks like we're becoming partners in crime! Figureatively speaking of course." She winked.

Enelya sat up, still in his lap, and pointed her toes together. She had completely forgotten about her picture frame, but it didn't matter, because she was having too much fun talking to Kotah about what crazy trouble they were going to cause at the dance.

"So, care to elaborate such mischief?"

He was playing with her hair as he spoke. "When everyone gets together for a dance, I'll tag as many people from each couple as I can before they hit the floor. I suggest you watch from outside the room because it could get really nasty with that many people tripping, falling, and flailing their arms. It's not much of a plan, but if I try anything beforehand, someone could get hurt on one of the games, or I could get caught, and we wouldn't want that." He glanced at her during his last sentence. "Well, I wouldn't want me to get caught," and he laughed.

She nodded and laughed as he revealed his sneaky mind.

"Well, I wouldn't want me to get caught," and he laughed.

"I wouldn't want that either! Who would I have to laugh about it with afterwards?" She made a goofy grin and crossed her arms. "Sounds like a good plan to me. I can't wait. Well, are we going to have some time to enjoy ourselves too, well, dancing I mean, or are we just going to cause trouble?" She looked at him curiously. She had never been to a dance before, and was curious.
