Sifa sighed as he went into the city. While Sifa found it distasteful to do almost anything, he could find nothing more seemingly pointless than a doctor's visit. That being said, he had been ordered, albeit a bit jokingly by Fweiu as she referred to him as a storm trooper when doing so, to go to his check up. He was actually wearing attire slightly more appropriate to the summer weather on manta Carlos. Before he left his home, he donned a white T-shirt, white shorts, and his signature blue scarf that never left his side. His hair was a bit disheveled, but that was more out of a distaste to actually make himself look nice.

Sifa was dead tired. Every single waking moment to him seemed like a pain to even be awake. Each movement seemed unnecessary. He was the epitome of laziness. If he hadn't been told to stay awake all day, he probably would have found a place to take a nap for a relatively long period of time before going to Thiul's work.

Another thing that made him uneasy was that he didn't know what Thiul would do with the new medical technologies that she had. He wouldn't tell anyone, but he had absolute trust for Thiul. If he didn't he wouldn't have been forcing himself to travel.

After a few minutes of travel he finally arrived to the destination in question. The Manta Carlos hospital, the place where the supernatural and the "natural" were treated for medical emergencies. As he stepped in he smelled a lot of things like blood, sweat, and other people. He made his way to the lobby.

He was told to wait for her in the lobby, so he did.

"Yes, I can take the patient for Dr. Etchmond. I have an open slot on my schedule from 8am to 9:30am tomorrow, before that kidney transplant. Yes, I know it's my first week here, what is your point? Excuse me, but I do not burn out, who do you think I am. Just get it done...please."
Thiul sighed as she cut the call off and lowered her phone to the table. It was indeed her first week here and her schedule was already booked solid. Who knew there was such a big demand for doctors on Manta Carlos? Patients came in flooding and more doctors burned out that in. Thiul never burned out, never, but she had a feeling that statement might have to be revised if it went on like this.
Thiul rolled over to her cabinet in her chair and checked some old medical records she had fetched from files. She was really grateful for her wheelie chair, she didn't have to walk at all in her own office. And she spared her legs for important things.
Thiul checked the time, one of those things should be waiting for her in the lobby at this very moment. Thiul rolled to the door and stood up. Her legs felt stable and there was no lower back pain. She had thoroughly massaged her legs during her free time, it was completely fine. Thiul left her chair where it was and made her way to the elevators, dodging some nurses and fellow doctors on the way.

In the lobby Thiul looked around and just spotted Sifa coming in. Thiul checked the time, he was 10 minutes late. Pretty well for him.
Thiul walked straight up to him and crossed her arms, smiling bit.
"You showed up. Good work. Now let us go. My office is in the 5th floor, I have everything prepared."
Thiul didn't stop to wait for Sifa's answer but walked straight back to the elevators and pushed the button, excepting Sifa to follow after her. The elevator arrived with a ding and Thiul stepped in. She didn't push the button for the fifth floor until Sifa was in the elevator with her, they were the only ones going up.
"I have plenty of time for this check up, my next appointment is in 3 hours. I have plenty of time to analyze your blood and urine samples."
Thiul explained as the elevator went up and arrived to the fifth floor. Thiul stepped out the second the doors were open enough, accidentally bumping into a nurse. Thiul waved absently as a sorry and headed towards her office. She had requested one that was close to the elevators and thankfully had gotten it.
Thiul sat right back into her chair at the office and rolled it to her table. She spread her arms and smiled a bit at Sifa.
"Welcome to my office. It is humble, but it is mine."
The office was indeed humble and pretty small. It had a simple hospital bed at the corner, some small steel tables for medicines and cups and other miscellanious stuff only a doctor saw as useful, her desk that had a small organized chaos and a family picture on it and a cabinet for files and paperwork.
"Please sit down on the hospital bed, and don't fall asleep."
Thiul instructed as she wheeled herself to one of the steel tables. It had a urine sample cup, needles and tubes for blood samples and on the lower shelf there was a machine for taking blood pressure.
"First I'll listen to your heart, okay?"
Thiul said and took a stethoscope from the table, slipping it on herself.

Sifa sighed as he saw Thiul and walked as fast as he could after he nodded slightly to her greeting. He noted to himself that Thiul seemed to be in her element, and seemed to be comfortable. Maybe a little fatigued, but still she didn't seem completely overwhelmed yet. When she quickly walked off to the elevator, he followed at his usual pace and made it just before the elevator opened.

The elevator ride was relatively silent but it was to be expected as he and his sister were the only ones inside as well as the fact that they were only going up a couple floors.

When the door opened, he saw Thiul bump into a nurse and almost chuckled, but then made his way down the seemingly crowded hallway to his sister's office.

The office seemed small, but not too uncomfortable. Of course, it smelled like the rest of the hospital, but as he looked around he saw his family portrait and sighed. He was only here because his family had told him to come and no other reason. There were a few things that he had not been happy to see in the room, the most prominent being the needles which he knew were for drawing blood.

Sifa knew that he had eaten a bag full of candy right before he had come into the office so he decided to tell Thiul before he had his blood taken. So after he took a seat on the hospital bed and was warned to not fall asleep he looked up at Thiul and told her what he had done.

"Thiul my bloodsugar and glucose levels will probably be a bit high as I had a bag of candy before coming here... I had almost fallen asleep so it helped get me here."

Sifa then lifted up his shirt to allow Thiul to place the stethoscope on his chest over his heart. He was at rest, as a result he knew most likely his heart rate would probably be quite low.

"Go ahead lets get this over with"

Thiul sighed as she set the stethoscope against Sifa's chest and listened to his pulse, trying to detect any irregulariyies. But it wasn't any normal from usual, and as Thiul counted it's speed it was slightly slow. But that was also normal with Sifa.
"You should know better than to eat something like that before a blood test. You are not supposed to eat for 6 hours before one. You're lucky this is an unofficial check up. You can lower your shirt."
Thiul took out a memo she marked Sifa's pulse on.
"Nothing wrong from the usual. Slow, no irregularities.:
Thiul put the memo away and pulled out the blood pressure measuring machine.
"You know the drill, stick out your arm."
Thiul tied a string on Sifa's upper arm and wrapped the meter under it.
"Relax, and take deep breaths in, and out. Don't tense your arm."
Thiul started a machine and it started whirring and the wrap started inflating. Thiul stared at the number that appeared on the monitor, as expected they were normal. Thiul took the wrap and string away and next she pulled out the needle for taking the blood test.
"Well then, now we get to your favourite part."
Thiul smiled a small mischievous smile as she started preparing the needle and the tubes she was going to put the samples on.

Sifa sighed as he set his shirt down. He could guess what his sister wrote in her memos. He knew that his heartbeats per minute would be slower than usual since he himself was quite calm and in surprisingly good shape for someone with his activity level.

He then Put his arm into the device that checks blood pressure while Thiul wrapped his arm with a string. He felt the device tighten on his arm, he heard the air filling the device up to high pressures, he could feel his blood pumping. When the pressure became almost unbearable the device started to deflate

It felt quite odd but not an unenjoyable feeling to be released from the device. After the string was untied from his arm, he stretched it a little to make sure the blood flow became normal again.

He heard what Thiul said and winced. He saw the hypodermic needles and didn't look happy to be there. He didn't like the idea of being stabbed by a metal item on purpose, but he offered the inside of his non dominant arm to Thiul.

"I don't like being stabbed Thiul so you better make this quick..."

As Sifa offered his non dominant arm Thiul wrapped the same string from before to the upper arm to make the veins along the arm surface. Thiul dapped some disinfectant on a piece of cotton and wiped the inside of his elbow joint where she would take the blood. She then unwrapped a clean needle and attached it to the cylinder.
"You can handle simple blood test. Now, relax your arm."
Thiul took a hold of Sifa's arm and her hold would be unexpectedly gentle when you took into account it was her. And when she deemed the arm relaxed enough Thiul injected the needle into Sifa's arm.
It didn't take long for Thiul to take Sifa's blood since she only needed small amount. After she was done Thiul carefully took the needle out and put a bandaid on the small puncture wound.
"There. And you are still alive. A miracle, isn't it?"
Thiul smiled a bit and called for a nurse. It only took a minute for one to come.
"Take this to the lab, tell them to make it in 20 minutes. I have sent the things to be on the lookout for beforehand, just say it's from me. Thank you."
Thiul gave the vial to the nurse who then hurried down the hall.
