Caitlin walked with Simon into the "practicing grounds." She smiled softly up at him. They came to a small clearing with a large tree stump. Caitlin sat down on the rock and looked straight at Simon.

Simon sat down and smiled at her. 'So I saw you, and yo were crying, then I saw you again, and you were mad.'
Giving a confused smile, and laughing he said, 'So what did I miss?'

"Judas just drives me crazy. What he says and how he says it, the smell of smoke.... He can make me angry in 'less than a cigarettes time.'" Caitlin said, mockingly at the end.

He smiled, 'He really shouldn't smoke, it's not healthy. And I can't imagine what this school would do without Judas.'
He laughed and said, 'But he's just being himself, and all we can do is avoid him.'

He leaned against a tree and looked up. 'Well, I lost both my parents, but I was 4 and I really don't remember them. So I don't know if I loved them or not.' He shrugged and said, 'If I had known them more I suppose I would be sadder, but....'
He looked back to her. 'Other then that, not really.' He gave her a sad smile, and went over to her. 'So I really don't know what you're going through, I'll try to help though.'
He gave her a hug.

"Thanks Simon." she sighed. "It was different when my mom died. She was really nice. When she was somber. But my dad... He was always there for me. When he remarried, he did it cuz he thought it would be better for me. And now, he is gone. And I won't see him again on this side of heaven."

He sighed to, still smiling sadly. Sitting next to her, he put his arm around her and said, 'Yeah, but you'll see him again. And you've been doing great at this school, without his help. I'm not saying you shouldn't miss him. But you have the strength to go on without him.' He smiled and hugged her again, kissing her gently on her forehead. 'More strength then me anyway. You do a great jb standing up for yourself.'
After a pause he added, 'Not that I can't or anything, I'm just saying you're strong too.'

He opened his mouth, then closed it again with a puzzled look. After a few moments he chuckled and said, 'I guess I don't know really. The earliest I can remember is when I was 7, in an orphanage nearby.'
