A Qaint Late Lunch

Even with her ability to heal internally and have her body adjust to take anything. She was still walking a bit funny as she held on to Iaemor's arm, keeping him close so she didn't get a sudden spell of weakness and fall to her knees in the middle of everything. She was smiling as she kept Iaemor's arm pressed close against her body, today was a good day. No longer boring as she had thought it would be. When her current lover asked how the cafe they were in front of looked good she nodded. "Sure does, plus I'd like to sit down for a little."

When they got inside she leaned over to Iaemor and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll find us a place to sit. I'll have a club if they've got one." She then made her way carefully over to a booth to sit down, the seat even though it wasn't the most comfortable in the world it felt like a luxury to the Demoness as she sat down. Though she had more endurance than a mortal woman what they were doing all morning and what she supposed she was hoping for later in the day was taxing and stretching that limit.

When Iaemor sat down across from her she smiled and leaned forward putting her elbows on the table. "So, how about that weather right?" Kaya gave a soft playful laugh to herself before she reached into a portal and pulled out a pad of paper and a pencil and began to draw on it. "Just kidding, but Iaemor I have a serious question for you. You really have never used a summoning circle until today?"

Iaemor placed food down in front of Kaya before he himself sat down with his food and Kaya had asked her questions. "My father explained it to me as this. If I was ever forcefully summoned against my will I would be able to bust my way out of the containment and get on with my life. The training's never really come up and it's very specific to Summoning Circles. But part of it was knowing how to make them." Kaya finished the basics of the circle easily enough. Off to the side were a couple of sigils with English explanations as to what each of them mean for Iaemor.

"I'm not teaching you how to summon me against my will, that's just rude and you'll piss not only me off but a lot of other demons too." Kaya took a sip of the bitter coffee enjoying the taste, Iaemor was a good taste but to much of a good thing made it bland. "You had the candles and everything else that you would need but they were in the wrong places..." Kaya than began to give Iaemor the shortest lecture of how to make a summoning circle.

Kaya finishing with her drawing took a bite out of her sandwich. A big bite, she found she was surprisingly hungry at the moment. She had to chew and swallow before she could answer Iaemor's question. Taking another sip of coffee before speaking she cleared her throat. "If the candles go out during a summoning it usually means that either there is a draft and you might want to fix that. Or it could mean that the summoning was rejected." Kaya took another bite of food as she thought about what else she might need to tell him.

"I'm not available most days, but you can try summoning me whenever. If I don't pop in then the candles will blow out and you'll just know I'm busy doing something else that won't allow me to have time to play. This could be anything from work, to my daughter, or I might be in the middle of something with someone else." After another sip of coffee she put her elbows on the table leaning forward towards Iaemor. "Iaemor I have another question. I hope this doesn't seem weird or make you decide that suddenly you don't like me being around. But why do you and Maya live in a house here on the island when you could be living in a demonic realm? There are probably more demons living here on the island that I don't know about but I want to know your reasoning."

Kaya grimaced, "That sounds like it was terrible, Though I suppose I have no room to comment on something like that. My father must have done something similar to become as feared as he is now by starting somewhere." Kaya shrugged and passed over the instructions she had been writing out for Ieamor to use. "I don't suppose you might have heard of him. Orthus Foxuma?"

She sighed and put her head in her hands as she rested her elbows on the table. "He apparently was a terrifying demon back when he was expanding his Realm creating the Shadow Realm and The Dark. But I've only ever known him as my meddling father." Shrugging she let out another puff of a breath. "I only hear about these sorts of things from the other Nobles of my father's court."

Kaya listened and nodded along as she was told about Ieamor's situation but when he turned it to Kaya she blinked a few times before she could think of what she wanted to say. "Well I mean kinda yes and kind of no. There are pockets here and there of different base types, such as my Father is a Demon of Gluttony but I am more like my Mother and I'm a Demon of Lust. But the whole area is called The Shadow Realm. With the Dark near by it's what most would call the 'lower class' Or Lesser Demons? Most of them are just clouds of intangible darkness while the 'higher ups' there will have more physical bestial forms."

Stopping for a moment Kaya tried to think of another way to describe her home. "In a way it is a 'Hell' on it's own. But we just have a bit more variety of forms and places to live... I guess in a way, what my father did was like what happened to you but in reverse? I don't think anyone that resisted my father is still alive... though that was before my time and after he took over the entire Realm he 'Retired' and stopped expanding. He didn't feel like he needed to make the Realm any bigger. Even though he's retired I still get the occasional assassination attempt from the odd Archangel taking a swing at me... Though I over powered them with my sexyness and the left me alone afterwords."
