[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/ojvL3CG.png]It was not a question he was expecting to be asked. He expected her to nod and move on, not ask him if he was okay with it. He hadn't given it much thought. It seemed so minor. So petty. It was such a small concern it didn't even occur to him to be concerned about it.

And the more he thought about it, the more he decided he truly didn't care. He had done a great number of terrible things in his life, and being used as a pawn in childish pranks did not compare.

For a brief moment, Makara wasn't even there at all - there was a child, even smaller and thinner - a child Makara, from when he was no more than seven - and then suddenly he was back, his usual ghostly self, and not a dead child at all. It hadn't lasted more than a second - little more than a blink.

Too many emotions so late at night, but he nodded just the same. "Yes. I really don't mind. I don't think they would tell anyone who could actually cause me harm." Such people were few and far between.

"I... I see..." Did he just do something? It lasted for a microsecond, but he looked like he changed form. No, that must have been her imagination. "I guess it's good that you're being a good sport about it. But--" Aliasse cut herself off. It wasn't her place to be giving out advice.

Clearing her throat, she looked past the ghost for a moment. "Sorry, I think I've kept you long enough. You were on patrol too, yeah?"

It wasn't that she didn't want to talk with him, she just wanted to avoid overstepping her boundaries. That little flicker from the ghost, whether it was her imagination or not, may have been a sign to take it easy.

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/ojvL3CG.png]Makara wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He hadn't noticed the change in himself. To him, he was still himself - still the same thing he'd always been. He wasn't sure why she cut herself off, and he wasn't entirely sure what she had been going to say. That he should stand up for himself? That seemed silly - it harmed no one. Not really. A small scare simply meant they wouldn't need to be hazed any further. There would be no more tests of bravery, once they'd met him in the hallways at night.

He shook his head. "I have no exact route. You are hardly keeping me waiting - I only patrol to help those who patrol as an actual job." He paused, taking a moment to consider. "If anything, I'm the one keeping you unnecessarily." He gave a little bow of his head. "I won't keep you if you need to continue."

"Oh, I see. Well that's good. I do have to get back to it though, but it was nice bumping into you. Hopefully the next time we meet we can properly chat." And hopefully it wouldn't involve sailing bullets. Oh that's right, she forgot the shell casings. They needed to be cleaned up as well. A quick scan revealed that they rolled to the wall, and a little bit of concentration had them teleport to her pocket.

"And don't worry. You didn't keep me unnecessarily." In truth, she skipped some areas of the academy on her first lap since her senses covered them already, and this just put her back on track. Geez, got a few new powers and already she was beginning to rely on them. This wasn't looking good for her nurtured skills.

"Mister Som." She nodded to him to signal her leave, but she stood by for a few moments to allow for any final thoughts to be expressed.

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/ojvL3CG.png]Hopefully there would indeed be no bullets flying the next time they met. He gave her a polite little smile and then followed it up with a second sampeah, although this one wasn't as deep as the last.

"Thank you for the talk. It has been quite interesting. I hope to see you again, Miss... Ryley." It gave him some things to think about, even if he wasn't very enthusiastic to actually think about them. He didn't like the thought of being used to frighten people, but he didn't feel like he had any right to complain. With a last glance and not a single word more, Makara turned on his heel and moved away - down a hallway, still looking as alarming and ghostly as when he'd first arrived.

Hopefully this time he wouldn't frighten anyone.
