Chloe felt small and fragile in her Toskada-ridden body. She looked like a child, an elementary school version of herself. It wasn't the way she looked when she really was a child, and she was happy at least for that much. She stood at the edge of the forest a short walk from her home. She was waiting for Pandora with a basket full of food and drinks. The sodas would be for Chloe. Pandora shouldn't be getting drunk now. The spider-woman had Toskada too.

Chloe had said Amber wouldn't be coming with them because she was too sick to leave the house. This was arguably also true.

Because Chloe looked like a child, Ozerchabal stayed close by. He told her about his analysis of death metal lyrics, which was only barely interesting enough to make waiting for Pandora more tolerable. Chloe only had to wait so long because she was there very early. Being inside was driving her crazy. Another advantage of the picnic was that they wouldn't be spending time around people who could become infected.

A giant spider crawled along a nearby tree. Chloe almost waved at it, expecting Pandora - but no, this one was just an ordinary giant spider. Pandora would show herself later.

((Ooc: ordinary Giant spider? Lmao))

Chloe had left many of the details vague, which had served to further intrigue Pandora as she skittered through the forest on her way to a picnic. It was to be just the two of them, at least in the fact that there would be no real children around. This was going to be nice as the pair didn't often get the chance to be alone together very often anymore. Not as much as they used to anyways. Naturally, she had been looking forward to it.

Before long, She broke through the tree line and caught sight of Chloe not far off. She like Pan had been reduced to a younger version of herself, which wasn't entirely a bad thing, it was just different. Pan also spied Ozzy keeping close to Chloe. She ha expected the bodyguard to be there, as he had become a staple member of Chloe's entourage as of late. It didn't bother her any, as she was comfortable enough to ignore the Rhino man if she so wanted.

"CHLOE..." Pan Yelled as she ran towards the Picnic as fast as her eight legs would take her. It was no surprise that she was quick, as the gap closed within moments as Pan launched herself at Chloe tackling the demoness to the ground and snuggling her affectionately. "This was such a good idea, I'm so happy you invited me out."

"Pandora!" Chloe yelled right back at her. She was tackled to the ground, laughing.

"Yeah, I've been wanting to do this sort of thing for a while." She hugged her, then would try to get up - but if Pandora decided that Chloe should stay pinned, she wouldn't fight it. She looked to the basket sitting by Ozzy's feet.

"So, ah, the spot for the picnic is actually a bit farther in. It's a clearing I run past all the time. Ozzy, you can go to the record store if you want; I'll call you if I need you."

The rhino man nodded and went on his way. He and Arach and Nona were always jsust an incantation away from being by her side. With Pandora around, Chloe felt safe enough.

Pan giggled as she tightened her embrace. One thing that had drastically changed since her de-aging was the way her happy noises sounded. While she was grown they had always seemed forced, even when sincere. Now though these same giggles sounded full of life and promise. And now while she snuggled her long time lover as if they were nothing more than childhood playmates, the laughter flowed like water.

Pan couldn't help but smile wider as Chloe dismissed Ozzy. She understood the reasoning for having security, but in truth, she hadn't liked Ozzy much. Maybe it was the way he looked at her as if he were sizing her up, or waiting for her to try something. It was ridiculous to think that she would try to hurt Chloe after all the pair had a child together. There was nothing in the world that could cause Pan to turn on her family, and at t his point that's what Chloe was.

"So we're not staying here? Where did you have in mind? I'm so excited to do this with you, ya know." Her excitement was easily visible as she released her grip on Chloe. "can I carry something?" She asked looking eager.

It was also now that she noticed how cute Chloe was like this. it wasn't inappropriate or dirty to think so either. They were pre-existing lovers and were the same age now so this wasn't some creepy fetish that was now being discovered. It was just innocent cuteness. She blushed a bit and looked to the ground as she noticed she had been staring.

Chloe stood up, then she looked at the basket. She started to realize that she didn't plan this very well - the basket was heavy, and they couldn't both carry it at the same time.

"We can take turns carrying this." She picked it up, needing both hands. It was unwieldy. She almost had to waddle with it. "It's an awesome place. Nobody else around, and you can see the ocean past the farms." She grinned at Pandora, seeing how excited she was. Then she noticed how Pandora stared at her, how she looked away.

"I wish I was this cute when I was ten," Chloe said. Her clothes were on loan from Amber - only one person in that house had ten year old girl clothes on hand. She wondered if Pandora noticed. She wouldn't point it out.

The place wasn't far off the path. The clearing was by a steep downwards incline, almost a cliff. It had a great view of the ocean - but the farms were impressive in their own way. Some of them had their own miniature rain clouds.

Pan grinned as Chloe picked up the basket. It seemed as though it might have been too heavy for her, not that she was showing it. No doubt Ozzy had carried it this far. Pan continued to grin as she pictured the hulking Rhino man carrying the picnic basket begrudgingly. Perhaps he was just as happy to be allowed to run off as she was to be rid of him.

"How about I carry it on my abdomen?" Pan suggested as she reached out for the basket. Her eight legs and increased strength did give her the ability to carry things like this with ease. As she suspected, the basket fits easily on her, and her legs were able to carry its weight with ease. "Lead on cutie pie." She said with a wink.

As they walked Chloe mentioned that she wished she had been this cute as a child. for Pan it was hard to imagine Chloe as anything other than cute in some way or another. She had a beauty about her that seemed to radiate and it had been enough to catch the spider so many months ago.

It didn't take them long to get to the spot Chloe had picked out. It overlooked a steep incline, that as promised offered an amazing view of both the farms and the ocean. It was An amazing sight, to say the least. Picturesque almost.

"Wow... It's amazing here... And it's nice and out of the way too. Thank you. Thank you for planning this." She said enthusiastically. She really was happy for this.

"Hey, don't mention it," Chloe said. "And thanks for taking the basket. I probably should have realized how heavy it would be."

She took the basket from Pandora. One of the things in there was a red blanket, which she spread out on the ground before sitting down on it and rummaging through the food and drink. A magically cool compartment kept the drinks cold. Chloe had a sandwich and chips for herself, and a caffeinated soda. She had some ribs for Pandora, in a little plastic box wtih some napkins, and the way they were sliced up Chloe could almost pretend to herself that they weren't covered in human flesh.

It frustrated Chloe that she was still bothered by her daughter's and lover's dietary needs. It's not like anyone died for Chloe to get these ribs - or at least not explicitly for that purpose. "I hope these are okay," Chloe handed the ribs to Pandora. The butcher had assured Chloe the ribs' original owner died painfully - that was a dietary need for some people, after all - and she had to pay extra for that.

Pan took the container of rib's as Chloe passed it to her. She could smell them already, lightly seasoned, cooked rare, and with a hit of suffering. They were going to be delectable. She also watched as Chloe unloaded her own food from the basket. Sandwich, and chips with a soda. lot's of things that Pandora dared not try, for fear of the stomach ache to follow. Regardless it all looked good, and she was happy to know that the two of them could still sit together and eat without grossing each other out too much.

"Thank you, Chloe. I can tell you've put some thought into this. IS there some occasion I am forgetting?" She couldn't help but wonder now, perhaps it was the 6-month anniversary of their first night together or something like that. Would Chloe even remember a date like that? Was she herself expected to remember it? This whole dating thing was difficult.

She smiled as she took a quick bite from one of the ribs. Her sharp teeth made short work of the tender flesh that clung to the bones. "Or... Maybe you plan to woo me, get me off guard and propose to me?" Pandora giggled as she spoke.

Propose to marry Pandora? Chloe chuckled. She wasn't anywhere near ready for marriage. "There's no occasion. It's just that I wanted to do..."

Her voice cracked. She took a few deep breaths. She took a sip of her drink. She looked at Pandora for a moment, then she ate a couple of chips, chewing on them for far longer than was necessary. She looked at the scenery for a little bit. It was easier.

"I wanted to do this while I still can. Just in case this disease... takes me. You know. I don't think I can come back like you can."

Her stomache dropped. She took a bite of her sandwich and stared at the miniature rain clouds. They were fascinating. They helped her ignore the tears starting to form in her eyes.
