A night to remember

"Yes, that is my mistake, forgive me; it has been a long time since i've been with my people, i'd almost forgotten. I don't even remember Japan...my master took me to China with him, as soon as i could walk. then, when i was 12, he disappeared, and i was brought to England, where i learned English. I was brought here by my foster parents a few months ago...They couldn't handle my...uniqueness." Kenichi said, addressing Nakata, "I don't even know any Japanese, can you believe it? Master thought it was better to learn Chinese, and never taught me, never spoke to me in Japanese."

He began walking down the shore front, close to the water, watching the...weasel, then. "Yes, it is quite cold, odd, for an Island, i wish i had remembered my jacket...How are you holding up, Cyan? Your fur looks like it would be too thin handle these cold temperatures. Do you need a Jacket? I might have something your sized, hold on..."

He took out his camera from the left side pocket of the Cargo pants, and flicked through the pictures, explaining, "You see, i'm a mage, and my bag here allows me to store anything that will fit inside it, and i have enough Mana to make disappear. The bigger and heavier the object is, the more mana is required.

"To summon and item, i need to be able to picture it in my head, otherwise, the wrong item might come out. I can't always remember everything that i put into my bag, so i take a picture of it, before i spend the mana to put it in. After all, how ridiculous would it be to have whatever i needed in the bag, but i couldn't draw it out because i didn't know what it looked like?"

Kenichi continued to flip though the pictures, but couldn't find anything, he clicked his tongue in displeasure. "I'm sorry," he said, "but i don't have anything your sided...unless you'd like a ridiculously big red scarf, would you?"

Naka followed the two down the beach, listening to them speak. He listened to the mage speaking about his pack and mana etc. It was interested but he could think of a number of downsides that might be incorporated, and he started to zone out a little bit, thinking back to how he had gotten himself into this situation. With a mental shake of his head, he slouched and continued on.
"Don't worry about the namu, it is okay." He said with a disconnected smile.

"A scarf? Well, you know, that could actually work. Thanks! Well, that is if you would be so kind as to help me wrap it around myself. I am pretty cold." Cyan was surprised that the guy thought about his need for something warmer. "I'll have to walk on two feet, but that's no problem so long as we aren't running." Cyan was glad that Kenichi mentioned his previous home and his powers. That opened up a whole new line of conversation.

"Okay, so you're from Japan," he said as he motioned toward Nakata, "And you're...mostly from China," he said, turning back to Kenichi. "Well, I'm from America, although my mom was from England. I think I've got a half-English half-American accent, although I don't really get much chance to compare...Can you guys tell?" He turned toward Nakata, hoping that would increase the chances of getting a response from him.

"Slow down, Cyan. You don't want to scare 'em off," he told himself silently.

"No, i haven't, but i'm not very good with judging accents...now, your scarf..." Kenichi said as he was pulling his bag around to his front,he then pictured the scarf, and said, "scarf, appear!" and pulled out the aforementioned red scarf. It is around 4 feet in length, and 6 inches wide.

"here ya go! that's a good one too! it's made of a wool-poly blend," he explains to Cyan, "it's got just enough polyester in it to keep the wool from being scratchy, but there's not enough to ruin the properties of the wool-which is to stay warm, even when wet! And, its red, which is a very lucky color where i come from, not to mention my favorite color in general. Come here," Kenichi went to a knee, "i'll tie it 'round your neck, i bet that'll help keep you warm!"

Naka looked at Kenichi and Cyan and responded in tandem.
"I'm not bery good at accents in engrish either." He said. He was beginning to pick up words and tones from their conversation that was enabling him to keep up a little bit better. He was explaining this, however, at the same time Kenichi called for the scarf to appear, or rather he had just finished his thought. With that, he watched as he bent down to tie the scarf around Cyan's neck. His wording caused Nakata to cringe though as even he knew that telling someone you were going to tie something around their neck made some people (or in this case animals) a little uncomfortable. He did note though that not everyone reacted the same and hoped that Cyan, as social as he seemed to be, would take well to it anyway, and thus keep the transition from getting rough.

Cyan allowed Kenichi to wrap the huge scarf around his neck. The scarf was too large for him, and covered his entire face, so he slipped his arms under the scarf, pulled a bit here, tucked in a bit there. After a moment, he had a bulky makeshift sweater-vest. "That's much better, thanks. Oh, and you're right about the material. Comfy."

Cyan noticed that Nakata seemed concerned about something, probably the size of the scarf. The painted weasel pulled his arms into the folds of his scarf and gave a friendly smile. "So, I know what this guy's ability is now; what about you?" he inquired, "Oh, uh, Like me, for example. Aside from being, you know, a talking animal, I'm special in that I'm indestructible...I think...I haven't really tried everything, but that's probably a good thing." Cyan chuckled. He had been given far too much free time during his youth, and had experimented with exactly what his body could and couldn't take. He had never managed to cause any injuries to himself, either accidental or on purpose.

Naka looked to the weasel and shrugged. Despite being anti social, he was pretty popular, and had managed to gather some following so a good majority knew about his power. Not quite sure how to explain it in english though, he instead opted for an example. Pulling out a small throwing dagger from his belt, he slid the weapon across his own throat, only to have the wound close almost as quickly as the weapon was drawn across. With that done, he sheathed it once this was done and wiped the blood away revealing no wounds what-so-ever.
"That is my powa" He said simply.

"He seriously just slit his own throat," Cyan thought as he gazed in disbelief at the young man. He shook his head clear. "So, uh, your power...cool, I guess you and I have a bit in common, main difference being my ability is in resistance, and yours in recovery." he paused for a moment.

"So, uh, where are your rooms? I haven't actually picked mine out yet," he said to the two.

"Cyan, it's a bit rude to just go and ask...oh" Kenichi was quite taken aback by Naka's "display" of his power. "Ah, well...anyways, Cyan, don't just going on asking every single person what their power is! if they want to tell you, they'll get around to telling you!"

"I've actually found a dorm that was empty, so i took it; i placed a spell on the door, only those that i want to enter-or those that can defeat the spell-can enter."

Kenichi then moved closer still to the water, and began looking for some good skipping stones, "Let me know if you see any flatter, rounded stones, ok?"

"Oh, to have long, spindly arms," Cyan mused as he searched the ground for a good skipping stone. He saw one that looked almost perfectly round and flat resting in the shallow water. "What about this one? it looks pretty good," he said as he reched in and pulled it out with both hands, "Coooold. I forgot that the watter would be so cold!" he set down the stone and pulled his arms back into the folds of the red scarf. "Here, throw this for me," he said to Kenichi as he slid the stone closer with his foot.
