"Knock knock," Zora called out as she let herself into her aunt's home and immediately made her way down the short hall to the kitchen living-room.
"Zori," Celeste said with a welcoming grin. "Come in, take a seat," she said as she cleaned her hands on a tea towel. "I was just making Shale a limestone loaf," she explained as she popped at very heavy loaf pan in the oven to cure/cook for a few hours.
"So, what's up?" Celeste asked curiously. It was odd for her niece to show up in the middle of the day when the kids weren't around.
"Well, now that you ask," Zora grinned as she took a gift-wrapped box out of her bag, "I have a gift for you. It's sort of a birthday, thank you for being there for me, possibly Christmas gift," she told her as she slid it across the counter towards her.
"What is it?" Celeste asked curiously as she picked up the box and shook it.
"You'll see," Zora said innocently.
"Ohh.." Celeste marveled as she opened the box and saw a card on top, stating it was a Damascus original. Pull the item out of the box she saw it was a beautiful armlet in the shape of a dragon, its tail wrapping around the wrist and with crystals for the eyes.
"It's beautiful, Zora." Celeste stated as she took it out of the box and put the armband on, which almost seemed to magically accommodate to her arm, becoming extremely comfortable as she wore it. Glancing then at her niece, suspicious that the gift was more than just a simple armband.
"By any chance... Does the band do anything?" she asked, now very curious.
Smiling at the question, Zora nodded. "Yes. It does," she stated, "The band makes you resistant to heat, extreme heat, like fiery dragon heat," Zora said with a wide grin as she looked at Celeste then, and winked at her aunt, who blushed pink and just stared at her niece in stunned amazement as it quickly dawned on her what the band was for.
