"And here we are... Starlight Academy!"
The taxi driver slowed the car to a stop, put it in park, and turned around to look at the girl in his back seat. "This is the admissions office. Check in here and they will give you your dorm number and room key. I'll wait here for you and then drive you over there so you don't have to carry all your stuff!" The strange old man gave a smile as his passenger gave a small nod and stepped out of the car.
Live looked like she had just been on a trip half way around the world, which she almost had been. She wore her favorite black boots and a pair of dark burgundy red jeans with a black hoodie that had a inverted cross on the left sleeve. Her eyes looked tired and her hair was frizzy from spending so many hours sitting. She wore three rings with letters on her right hand which said "DIE" and five rings on with letters on her left hand that said "BITCH". She wore her favorite long pentagram necklace and a dark red, green, and yellow chocker. "So this is it..." Live thought as she glanced around. It was a beautiful place but nothing like she had quite expect. Of course, she wasn't really sure what to expect in the first place. She had no idea that there were even other people out there like her (though she had always hoped) and she definitely had never even imagined that there was a whole island with a school and town just for people like her. Honestly, she was still trying to figure out if this was all a dream or a really horrible joke. Live let out a sigh and headed quickly inside. She was tired from the long trip to the island and all she wanted was a bed to sleep in and some alone time to try and come to grasps with everything that was happening.
The reception desk was thankfully right inside and easy to find. Live walked up and placed her hands on the counter, her rings making a decent clatter as they hit the marble top. The lady at the computer looked up and smiled. "Hello! Welcome to Starlight Academy. Are you Lilly Love?"
Live gave a small nod and the woman began pulling out papers and folders. After about five minutes of signing and explaining, she had her room key and was on her way back to the taxi. She climbed in and the man drove her quickly the dorms. He helped her unload her bags from the car and then left.
Live stood there for a moment, looking at her bags and then at the building. Suddenly, she felt a rock forming in the pit of her stomach. She honestly had never felt nervous like this before. It was an odd feeling that she was not at all use to and it made her fingers tingle, the back of her throat tense, and her palms sweat. After a few seconds of being frozen, Live quickly it off and returned her attention to the task at hand: finding her dorm room and getting her stuff inside. She didn't have too many bags. Just two medium rolling suitcases, a backpack, two shoulder bags, and one box. There were suppose to be a few other boxes coming in the next few days as well. Live put on the backpack (which was dark blue with sharpie-d tribal print all over it) on her back and slung the two shoulder bags over her left shoulder. She reached down and grabbed the box and then stopped. Her arms were now full and she still had two suitcases to carry. She tried to shift the box to sit on her right hip and was able to grab one suitcase handle with her left hand but couldn't get the other suitcase while still holding the box on her right side. Live let out a heavy sigh and set down the box. She pulled out her room key and checked the number again.
"431... This place had better have an elevator." Live grumbled to herself as she looked back at her stuff. However, whether there was an elevator or not meant nothing if she couldn't figure out a way to get everything inside in one trip and she was way too skeptical and distrusting to leave anything unattended.
