A Moment in the Oasis

"I know," she agreed, "Gin and tonic is a bit boring. I admit. Though, it keeps me from drinking it to fast when I need a clear head at work functions... I guess it's just habit now," she mused when he told her she needed a wider variety of drinks.

"A regular, huh?" she chuckled lightly at his words, "So... You are that good at massages, are you?" Zora asked, arching an eyebrow inquiringly at that boast. Now extremely intrigued by this. She hadn't had a good massage in quite a while, and wondered what he meant by having other means past that to relieve tension.

"So, if I wanted a massage now, could you accommodate me, or do I have to book ahead first? she asked the bartender, genuinely interested in his proposition. She had had a long, stress-filled day and looked forward to any kind of serious relaxation technique or way to blow of steam.

"A person of many talents, I see... " Zoraida replied with a friendly smile. "It's actually a good thing to be versed in a few things in life. You never know when you need to adapt or when a certain skill might come in handy." she added. Being in business had slowly taught her that being versatile and having a wide range of knowledge was a good thing. It had gotten her and her clients out of binds more than one time.

"That's great, " she said now excited about the idea, interested to see if the dapper-looking and self-proclaimed connoisseur of relaxation techniques was as good at it as he claimed to be. "I guess, wherever you're ready, lead the way." she added with a grin, her second drink almost finished and just a few ice cubes left.

Zora did as she was told and left her drink on the counter. She then followed the bartender into a dimly light back room where there was a massage table and it smelled so nice, of lavender. Looking around her, Zoraida saw that it was very professional looking and seemed legit. And when the bartender asked her to sign a waiver, she was somewhat surprised by this, but pleasantly so. And as a business person herself, she actually took a few minutes to read through it to see if there was anything she should know about. After a few minutes, satisfied all was good, she signed the papers and handed them back.

"I guess I'll keep my clothes on since getting undressed is such a hassle..." she said when given the choice, "By the way, what is your name?" Zora asked thinking it silly to be calling him "the bartender" in her mind.

Zora hopped onto the massage table as best she could. Wearing a tight skirt made it no easy feat. Scooting to the middle, she turned her body so her feet face down and then she laid back and rolled over onto her stomach. Getting on massage tables were for her, for some reason, awkward.

Now face down, she turned her head to the side and looked up at the bartender when he said his name was "Gin".

"Gin..." she repeated, "A rather appropriate name for a bartender..." she mused, "Is it was short for anything?" she asked curiously, relaxing as best she could as she waited for him to start the massage.

"It is?" Zora asked, now very curious as to want it was short for. She only knew diminutives or nicknames of girls' names that might be Gin. She didn't think she knew any for men. "Can I ask what it's short for?" she asked, feeling him starting to massage her back.

Chuckling at his observation about her clothes, Zora said, "More than white collar, I'm afraid. I own a large company here in town." she stated as she sighed a little as the tension was being worked out of her shoulders.

Zora was stumped, all she could think of at the moment were girl names. Maybe Gin was able to switch between sexes? There was a thought she hadn't considered.

"Could it be Virginia? Or maybe, Georgina, Regina, Ginger? she said trying to think of some names, "Or Luigina, Luigi?" she added not just throwing out random names.

"Yes, it is stressful, very stressful..." she nodded, "My brother is always getting into some kind of trouble," she sighed agreeing that it was possible he was using the cult to get to her. She had learned never to underestimate him.

"And I don't doubt, he'd try to use a cult as a way to his advantage." she said as she relaxed, enjoying Gin's massage.

Zora actually chuckled, "No, I'd also agree you don't look like a girl. But I'm afraid I don't really know any men's name which are short for Gin. Girls names, a ton... but not any for boy's." she answered truthfully and then sighed as he started working the tension from her arms.

"My most desired vacation spot?" Zora said, "There's a tiny villa in the Swiss alps that I adore... " Zora said of the place fondly. "It so peaceful there, especially in winter... " she stated happily at the memory.
