You know, if one were to ask Mr White's feelings on Immortality, or the quest for eternal life, they would find that he, or rather she, had a rather interesting perspective on the matter. He wasn't entirely FOR it, but he certainly wasn't entirely against it either. He could see the benefits
to it certainly, but he also saw how it could be a curse too. Like anything else in life, it was all a matter of perspective and if you had something worth spending eternity on.
Although James/Camilla wasn't exactly the biggest fan of Eternal Life, he certainly saw why so many would be obsessed with the idea. After all, if there's one fear that the vast majority of humans share, it's the inevitability of Death. Everyday we are constantly surrounded by things capable of killing us,
and even our fragile bodies sometimes give out on us when we least expect them to. The fact we survive it all is nothing short of a miracle.
The main benefit Mr White could see though was the gift of Time. Time to do all the things you would never be able to do with a finite lifespan. It certainly was a pleasant way of looking at the matter.
Now, why bring up all this talk about Immortality and the ups and downs it brings for those who own it? Well, take Mr White's current situation. Thanks to that bone-headed witch's experiments, he was stuck in his own immortal witch body possibly for the rest of eternity. What else, she seemed incapable of staying down, be it from bullets, stabbing, explosives, and so on, she would rapidly heal from it in no time.
To put it in perspective, the witch who did this to him? She was over 150 years old...and didn't look any older than a teenager!
These days, she was looking for a purpose. What do you do when you have all
the time in the world to spend on things? She had come to the library today in
the hopes of finding answers, and it started with the staff member named Tamara.
She walked on into the library...
