He pushed through the crowd, doing his best to avoid bumping into people as he did, he wasn't really sure why the crowd was there. As he walked the crowd shifted and he and a girl were pushed together, "sorry," he said as the crowd thinned giving them room, "you ok?"

Fatima had simply been wandering around downtown a little aimlessly, just watching people, when she stumbled into a crowd. She thought that maybe someone had been in an accident since the hunger levels were fairly average. It wasn't that cold out, but the girl was still bundled up in a warm, fluffy coat, hat, scarf, and mittens. She was also holding a thermos of Irish coffee in her hands.

Technically, the young horseman was not supposed to be drinking alcohol, but that's why she loved this drink. There was no way to tell it wasn't just a normal coffee without drinking it yourself.

When the boy was pushed into her, Fatima was jostled enough that some of the hot drink spilt on her mitten, but it was thick enough that it didn't matter. "Cripes!" she exclaimed, startled. Then turned to look at the boy. She had just arrived here, so of course she didn't recognise him, but he looked to be about her age. "So do you have any idea what's going on here?" she asked, waving her hand to encompass the now-thinning crowd.

He looked around and saw that a stores was having low post Christmas prices, causing its usual shoppers to swarm it, "looks like a stupid sale," he shook his head and moved away from what was left of the crowd motioning the girl to follow him to a clearing.

"Sorry about that," it wasn't his fault but he still felt the need to apologize, "if there had been more room I would have flown out, but with all those people I would have hit someone with my wings," despite overall despising the fact that he was a manifestation of death, he did like being able to fly and see everything from above.

As they reached the clearing he stretched a bit, "I just got here and I already go mobbed," he smiled and chuckled, he had arrived just a few days ago and it had been an eventful few days. "Oh well," he smiled, "looks like through getting mobbed I managed to bump into a beautiful girl."

"I'm John Rathier," he held out his hand, "I came into the city to find some fun, nothing really going on at the school right now."

Tilting her head curiously at the stranger, Fatima shrugged and decided to go along with him. She thought it a bit odd that he would just pull over a complete stranger, but then again there was no reason to be shy. They both appeared to be the same age and were probably going to the school. Maybe he was new here too and was just curious about another student. It was nice to meet someone her own age.

The girl just waved her hand at the apology, "Oh it's fine. It was really crowded. Besides I didn't spill much of my coffee." Then she grinned a little, "My hands were getting cold anyways." She paid more attention when he talked about flying, "That's so cool! I've always wanted to fly.."

Fatima blushed at the beautiful girl comment. She didn't actually think she was that attractive, in spite of the mob of guys here who had already said so. She always felt that no one would be interested in her at all if it weren't for her aura, although the aura just increased appetite, and wouldn't necessarily attract someone to her specifically.

But when John said his name, the horseman's demeanor immediately changed. She pulled back and eyed the boy warily. He was the same age as her and that name... Perhaps this meeting wasn't so coincedental as it had seemed. Fatima worried that the boy was here to finish destroying the cult and intended to kill her for her involvement in it, or at least attempt to. She didn't think she could actually be killed, by a normal human at least, but if this was who she thought it was, he might be able to do it. She fidgetted nervously with her ring, considering her options.

Hoping she was mistaken, she blurted out the first question she could think of, "How did you find me?!"

"Yea, flying can be a blast," he didn't like his horseman form, it was designed to cause nothing but death, but hed liked the wings, "it's amazing to see everything from the air, I flew over the city the other day."

He tilted his head at her, his face showing honest confusion, "find you? I don't know you." He didn't understand what she was talking about, he had no idead who she was.

She frowned at the boy's statement that he didn't know her. The Johnathan she'd heard about had certainly seemed to know about the rest of the cult, so she would be surprised to find out that was true, although she supposed they had done a good enough job of hiding her that it wasn't completely unlikely. And he could be lying to put her off guard. He seemed to be genuinely confused, but she had no way of knowing either way. Or - he could be a completely different person with the same name who was now very confused.

Even if he didn't know who she was. If this was Johnathan Rathier - he had killed her parents, her whole family. They had hurt her badly, but they were still the only family she had. And once he found out that she was raised by the cult, he'd probably want to kill her too. She had no idea what they'd done to him, but knowing what they'd done to her - it couldn't be good.

She looked him up and down warily, trying to figure out how to see if he was the horseman John and not just an unfortunate coincidence. "What... What do you know about cults?" There. An easy question and not too hard to pass off if it turned out he was the wrong person.

Her question surprised him to say the least, he knew only one cult, the one who had destroyed his life and revealed his do called destiny to cause the end of the world.

He looked at her, no anger, no hatred, just more confusion, he felt so much guilt for killing those people, evil or not, "who are you?" he asked the sadness showing in his voice.

He sighed, he was only sixteen, but he was tired of fighting, tired of wandering, and ironically very tired of death, and at that moment it all showed on his face. He was weary, he just wanted to start over.

Fatima looked closer at the boy, still a little wary. His question and the fact he had avoided hers only increased her suspicions that this was the other horseman she had heard about. The Horseman of Death. And yet... he seemed so sad. She still wasn't sure she wanted to tell him who she was just yet, though. It could still be an elaborate trap. Although, she was beginning to think it wasn't.

The young horseman sighed and beckoned him farther away from the crowd into a quiet corner. "Look. I need to know... You need to answer my question. So I'll feel safe. If you're who I think you are, you could be very dangerous to me. Just tell me what you know about cults, and I'll tell you who I am." She paused for a sec, considering. "I know how cults can be. They can be dangerous. They'll hurt you. If you are the John I know about, you'll probably want to kill me when you find out who I am, if you don't know that already."

He looked at her, he assumed she was connected to the Children of the End. He sighed, "I know of one cult, I know about them, obsessed with ending the world," the guilt on his face increased, he had killed so many people, evil or not, it weighed heavily on him.

He looked at her, "I don't know you and I dont know what connection you have with them....but I don't want hurt you." He words were honest, one could hear it in his voice, "I just.........I don't want to fight."
