Lexi heard what her dad said and her hands dropped to the sides. Looking down trodden as her head looked at the ground. Trying to fight back to tears. She could sense her father was trying to hide something. "You're..." She said. Then looking at Octain once more. Her eyes bubbling with sadness, anger and rage. her hair turning a while was she began to feed off energy. Her whole body cracking with electricity. "You're NOT MY DAD! I. HATE. YOU! I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU." She said as she rushed over to Octain.

Pulling a hand back. It was an almost split second from after Kimiko placed her hand on her shoulder to her being in front of Octain. Punching him in the gut. Being she heard Octain say something. The lightning stopped. her hair returned to it's normal color as she saw Octain drop to his knees. She took a few steps back. Her eyes looking at what she did. Looking between Octain and Kimiko. "D-Daddy? I-... I'm sorry!" she screamed as she ran upstairs to her room. Not wanting to be stopped.

Just to lay in her bed and cry about what she just did.. She let her instincts get the better of her.. And it costed her dearly.. She hurt her father..

Octain tried to say something. His mouth opened as he saw the electricity. Hearing what she said.. His mask cracked. More and more at each time Lexi said she hated him. Small pieces of the mask falling off and hitting the ground as he went for his spell book.

It was too late.... It was far too late...

Feeling a strong punch in his stomach he felt winded. Dropping to his knees as he all he could see was the ground. Hearing her scream she was sorry he tried to reach out. To say her name.. But Octain could only cough. Eventually gaining his senses once more.

"L-Lexi.... I can't.. Tell her.." He said as he stood up. Using the counter and chairs to help him stand back up. His hand on his stomach as the mask showed some of his face. A bit of his lips.. The bags under his eyes. "I've.. Tried.. I can't.. I... can't.."

He spoke lightly. His mask, cracked pieces missing. Octain had a good day.. But it was only going downhill...

Kimiko looked back and forth between the two of them. Both of them seemed obviously distressed and were in equal need of attention, but Kimiko was only one person, and she decided that she cared for Lexi far greater than she did Octain. The surprising part was that she did care for Octain, to some degree.

"I-I'll handle her..." she told Octain awkwardly, giving him a nervous nod. "I'm sorry this had to happen. She's a kid, she just wants to know the truth, she didn't really mean it!"

Realizing that didn't help the situation, she gave him another nod to tell him she was leaving before bolting up to Lexi's room. When she got inside, Lexi was... crying. Rightfully so. Kimiko slipped inside, quiet enough that it wouldn't disturb Lexi, but not loud enough that it would surprise her.

"Hey..." she said, voice soft. "How are you holding up, sweetheart?" She sat on the edge of the bed. She really wanted to hug her right now, but she didn't want it to be... unwelcome. She wanted Lexi to know that she was there as an option to help.

Octain;

All he could do was nod his head. Watching Kimiko bolt up the stairs he looked at himself in the reflection. Lexi did a number on his heart. his mind. He slowly became riddled with problems. He took his mask off while he was deep in thought. Giving himself some time to calm down as he closed his eyes. Trying to think of how to properly tell her.

That her real parents were dead...

she was all he had..

The main source of his happiness.. He was about to watch that all wash away with a tide. Like a tsunami washing away a gorgeous sand castle..

Lexi felt someone sit on her bed as she curled up a bit. Holding a pillow close as she looked at Kimiko. It was her prince charming.. Prince Kimiko. Her prince charming.. Or so she thought. Come to whisk her away from the mean Wizard.

She.. didn't know how to view Octain anymore. she trusted him and she hurt him. Though.. She felt more guilty than anything she had ever done. She punched and hurt the one man in her life that she trusted more than anything. Besides how she viewed Mister Kimiko.

"M-Mister Kimiko.. I-is.. Daddy okay..? I feel.. So bad for hitting him.. Why did I do that?.." she said. She was confused, sad and everything else. "I... Feel terrible.. I just.. i'm scared.. I'm scared daddy is going to leave me alone for what I did.." She looked away from Kimiko and buried her face into the pillow as her heart was torn and broken from what she said. "I don't want to lose you either.."

She held the pillow even tighter. Forgetting her own strength as the sound of ribbing fabric could be heard through the room and house. She was terrified at what she did. she hurt someone who she thought was close to him. Who protected her.

"Help me..."

"Honey... Honey..." Kimiko, very gently, pulled Lexi's head onto her lap. She stroked her head affectionately. This was all she could do for her, she thought bitterly. If there was just a way for her to ease her pain and patch this family back together, she would've.

Too bad she was just a small, helpless, weak girl.

"Your dad is fine," she said, unsure if she should've said that. He was fine in the most literal, physical sense, but beyond that, he was more than a little broken. This was a lie by omission. She didn't care. "He's not leaving. I'm not leaving either. I promise I'll never leave you, princess. Whatever this is... we'll get through it together, all right?"

She patted her hair gently, considering her next words carefully in her tongue. "Off the record... I don't condone hiding stuff from your family, but. I don't think Mr. Octain would've lied to you if the truth wasn't bad. He loves you. Everything he does, he does to protect you." She smiled weakly. "You don't have to forgive him now. You don't have to forgive him ever. But I hope you'd consider that he had good intentions in mind."

Lexi felt her head being laid on Kimiko's lap. She looked up at her for a moment before blushing a bit. Tears still streaming down her face. She was disgusted with herself. Had a deep hatred for what she did. She didn't even look Kimiko in the eyes. She then buried her head into Kimi's lap. Just to cry harder.

"He's not.. I know he isn't.. I hurt him Kimiko." She said. Clenching the bed sheets so hard that the fibers broke. She knew what she did was wrong. She knew that she could have controlled her temper. Instead she hurt the one man in her life that protected her from bad things.

She felt Kimiko pat her head which turned into a sorrowful purr coming from Lexi. "A-are you sure..? After all that.. I wouldn't be surprised if he left me.." She said. Opening her eyes. She was beginning to feel empty. Numb.. "I need to forgive him.. He's my only daddy.."

Octain

Octain had been trying to get his breath back. As well as trying to get upstairs. His mind was only on one thing. Lexi...

He leaned up against what he could. The blow was hard enough to deal some internal bleeding and bruising. As well as a trail of blood could be seen down his neck. Lexi forgot her own strength sometimes. He made it to the stairs as he tried his best to go up it. stumbling a few times as he fell to his knees at the top of the stairs. Holding his stomach as he panted heavily. the sound of coughing echoed through the halls.

He moved to lexi's door and leaned up beside it. Doing his best to clean himself up before turning the corner. And telling Lexi the full truth.. Everything. Every little bit.. She deserved to know. So did kimiko.

"Sometimes family hurt each other. And, you know, it's easier to get hurt by them because you expect them to be better than others, too. But the good thing about all that is that they love you enough to apologize, and forgive you for what they've done."

At the mention of Lexi apologizing, Kimiko smiled. Lexi was torn up about what happened, but she knew, deep inside, Lexi was a good kid. No matter the outcome of the situation, she would stick by her. This, she promised herself.

She looked up at Octain at the door.

And she wasn't worried. He was a smart enough man. She hoped he would set things right. She brushed Lexi's hair, and with the softest voice she could muster, she said, "Lexi... Don't be frightened, but look up. Your dad's here. He's not going to be angry at you, all right?" A pause. "I won't let that happen. I'll protect you."

As Octain walked into the room with his hand hovering over his tummy. It was Obvious to Lexi what was going on. She hurt him. She hurt him very much. She despised herself for. Even thought Octain had a smile under his mask and she knew it. She couldn't help but think.. Did she do the right thing? Was Octain really her father? Octain let out a heavy sigh as he dropped to his knees beside her bed.

"Lexi.." He spoke.

"Daddy.." She responded. "I'm sorry ple-" She was trying to speak before Octain put a hand that had some blood on the back of it. Kimiko could see this, Lexi couldn't but she smelt it. Lexi eyes widened. She wanted to speak but Octain's finger was keeping it shut.

"Lexi.. It.. Is about time I told you about it all." He spoke. His voice was shaky. Like he didn't want to hurt her in anyway. "I.. I am not your biological father. I am.. Your adopted father."

Lexi's eyes widened. She didn't know how to deal with it. Everything she knew about Octain, everything she felt seem to shatter like a glass breaking and shattering all over the floor. Octain wrapped his arms around her and held her tight.

"I am so sorry.. I wished to wait till you were older to tell you.. Your parents.. Died in what I was told an accident.. My heart just was not in the right place to tell you at such a young age. regardless.. You are the daughter I've always wa-" by then. Lexi made a choice. She punched him in the gut again.

Lexi's eye narrowed and went almost feral as she grabbed Octain and tossed him to the floor. The sound of porcupine cracking emanated in room as she hissed at him.

She then came to. Looking between Octain and Kimiko. Tears rolled down her face. She knew what she did.. She just.. She knew she was the one that hurt Octain. She knew it. She looked at her hand.. and saw blood. Instead of punching.. Her nails dug into Octain. Drawing blood as he laid on the ground. Using his hand magic to attempt to stop the bleeding, but some wounds hurt more than others.

"Daddy.. I'm sorry.. I'M SORRY." She said. Running out the window. Breaking the glass as she started to run on all fours. Faster than any human as she fell into the dark of the night.

".. I.. Deserved this.. From day one. Kimiko. It.. would be best for you to go home." He said. Standing up. Taking his hand away from his side. His mask was missing pieces. Revealing his bubbly eyes as well as a single tear running down his face.

The cold exterior that Octain had always put forward was shattered. Showing the man with in as he limped a bit from Lexi's room to his own to clean up before going after her. he needed to find her.

"I need to find her... I need to find her..."
