Edward wasn't planning on going to the dance. But seeing the cafeteria was empty he wanted some food and the dance was the only place with free food. He ate a little bit but he could barely eat, he sat staring at his plate. He thought about her and sighed, his head hung low. He placed his food on the side and decided to try and watch the people dancing but found himself wondering about her. He sighed, looking back down. Too many things reminded him about her. He thought about Computer, whom he had decided to name Ri meaning Clever in Japanese.

He wondered why the thing had decided to stick to him like glue. He sighed he didn't feel like dancing, or doing anything. Ri had encouraged him to go to the dance, infact he had threatened to drag him to the dance. He didn't know why in the world he had to listen to a computer that was made by humans.

Ri was on the shoulder of Edward, having decided to become more like a pet in appearance, with his computeristic headlights acting as eyes, and a slight spindly legged appearance with the four things he used to move around.

He observed Edward, and nudged him slightly. "You look like a lost puppy. At least fake a smile or two. Apparently even fake smiles make humans feel better." he told the boy, in a series of clicks and whirs, since he'd deemed printing words to difficult, and had taught the boy his language.

Ri settled a little lower on Edward's shoulder, before continuing on, "Besides, I know everything reminds you of her, but if you don't get out, than it'll keep reminding you of her, and you don't want to be sad the rest of your life, do you?" he presented a very convincing argument with his beeps, clicks and whirrs, little orbs trained on the boy all the while.

"You look like a lost puppy. At least fake a smile or two. Apparently even fake smiles make humans feel better."

"Fake smiles are fake, therefore you don't feel better you only look it. And second if I were to smile I'd be breaking my honesty and third you may be smart but your not going to force me to smile." He replied back to the computer. He was still getting used to computer language with beeps and whirls but he got it down the most part.

"Besides, I know everything reminds you of her, but if you don't get out, than it'll keep reminding you of her, and you don't want to be sad the rest of your life, do you?"

"But I loved her, you can't erase love. Ri your not human so you've never had these feelings so strongly and painfully. Your made to think or say things like a human but you still aren't one. You can't know the full extent of pain it causes that she didn't truly love me back. And that she used me, you on the other hand could program it out of your system but humans can't simply choose to delete old items." He said with a sigh, he had no plan on dancing with anyone. He'd just sit there and poke his food, at least then he'd not have to think about her. Instead he'd see how food was pretty looking.

Ri had been just about to reply an apology, when a little girl tugged gently on Edward's sleeve.

The four-year-old looked very cute, with a normal little girl 50s dress with all the frills, and a little black bow in her light blonde hair. But her face was fearful. Her large brown eyes shimmered with tears, and her chin quivered dangerously, but her fear wasn't directed towards him. "There's a scary man here, and, and.." she sniffled, "I can't find my friend. And he's really scary. Can I stay with you?" she asked, her words very acomplished for a four-year-old, but the fear and trust of a child were there.

Fishi was holding the sleeve she'd tugged on rather tightly, and she was trying very hard to be brave, and to not cry, but she sniffled every now and again, tears threatening to fall over the edge at any moment as she waited for his reply.

Ri observed the child, and made his own little comment to Edward, "Aww, she's so cute... You can't just leave her to be scared to death.." he whirred, tone sounding very human indeed.

"There's a scary man here, and, and.. I can't find my friend. And he's really scary. Can I stay with you?"

His eyes studied the little girl, and offered her a seat beside him and a cookie that he hadn't touched. Infact he had only ate a olive before he could eat. He offered the girl his plate, he didn't have the appetite to eat. "Did he threaten you?" Edward asked the cute innocent little girl. The fact was he hadn't thought of children yet with Tetris so the girl didn't hurt him much. He was still quite down looking though.

"Aww, she's so cute... You can't just leave her to be scared to death.."

He gave the computer a 'I'm not a complete heartless meanie' look. He wasn't going to talk to him whilst in the presence of someone seeing he'd look like a idiot and they wouldn't understand the computer. He looked back to the girl, "You gonna be okay? Want me to help you find who you came with?"

Ri hummed a bit of a preturbed sound, but said no more, contenting himself with watching the interaction.

Fishi took the cookie, but didn't eat it immediately, and instead observed it very closely. When he asked his first question, she didn't say anything, but instead looked at him with her wide, innocent eyes, and shook her head.

She then began eating the cookie, and proceeded to answer each of his questions the same way. Only speaking an answer to the last one. "I don't know where she is." she said very seriously, still shaking visibly from her almost run in with the scary man. She finished the cookie, and promptly stuck her thumb in her mouth, the strange brown birthmark on the hand visible.

After a minute or so, she took the thumb out of her mouth, "What's your name?" she asked quietly, observing him soberly, before making another astute observation, "You look sad." and then the thumb was back in her mouth.

"I don't know where she is."

He smiled at her in a friendly manner, "I'm sure she'll come looking for you." He said with a light reassuring smile to the young girl. He wanted to help her feel better, but she seemed to be imtiminated by whoever that scary guy was. Edward wondered who in the world would scare the poor child.

"What's your name? You look sad."

"I'm Edward, and whom may I have the pleasure of meeting?" He asked the girl with a charming smile. He didn't answer her second comment, he pretended that he didn't hear it from the girl. He wasn't in the mood to tell a little girl that he was dumped by a woman who he gave his heart to. And he was a love sick puppy over the matter. He sighed slightly his mind going back to her beautiful face in his mind. Remembering how beautiful Tetris was, he sighed he really was a bit obsessed over her.

Suddenly a flock of girls came ahovering over him, they looked down at him with pity and awe of how cute the little love sick puppy looked. A girl sat beside him, "Hey would you like to dance with me? Maybe a nice dance would cheer you up?" She rose to her feet and took ahold of his hand dragging him toward the dance floor. Two other girls hovered he managed to stay off the dance floor but the girls kept trying to force him to be merry. He would've left had he not told the little girl that she could stay with him. He tried to talk to the girls but his voice was unheard as they offered to dance with him or to take him out on a date to help his pain.

He tried to pull away from them gently but he couldn't, he said something to computer in a barely audible voice. "I'm never going out again." He struggled with them trying not to be pulled into their traps of dancing, moonlight and want of a boyfriend.

Fishi nodded sadly with his comment of Frankie finding her. The girl had managed to get separated from her, and then she'd run into the Scary Man. She was feeling rather frightened.

She smiled though, when he asked for her name, the smile lighting up her dewy eyes. "My name's Fishi Mackenzie." she said cheerfully, though her face fell momentarily when his thoughts flashed through her mind. She knew what they were, but she'd never had it happen before.

And then the flock of girls came. At first, she was just nervous, but when they completely surrounded him, making tons of noise, and crowding her, and him, she started to get scared.

She started quietly, whispering it, "Frankie, Frankie, Frankie," And then she got a little louder, rocking back and forth, "Frankie, Frankie, Frankie," finally, after at least 5 minutes of this, raising in volume each time, she nearly screamed it, "FRANKIE!", tears over flowing.

The Brooklyn girl was there in a flash. Her long lavender hair had been let down, and flowed over the shoulders of her pinstripe suit. She had dressed like a 50's mob boss, right down to the shoes, including a holstered pistol at her hip. Her fedora was tipped slightly forward on her head, and she moved into the midst of the surge of girls, booming voice making up for what she lacked in height. "You idiots. You are scaring a little gir. MY LITTLE SISTER! You've freaking scared the living daylights out of her. She's freaking crying." she pointed to the crying little girl for emphasis, before taking the child into her arms. "Now you guys have 5 seconds to disband, or you will find out just how strong my powers are!" her thickly lined eyes were fiery with anger, and she didn't even bother to look at the guy she was defending.

"My name's Fishi Mackenzie."

He smiled at the girl, "A very pretty name at that Miss Mackenzie." He said knowing that compliments could take fear away even if it was just a little. He looked at the pretty little girl in her fifties outfit, he wondered what kind of person wouldn't notice a little girl's absence.

"Frankie, Frankie, Frankie, Frankie, Frankie, Frankie, FRANKIE!"

Edward tried to stop the girls, or at least try to get away so the poor little girl wasn't so scared. But he couldn't hit a female, it was something he just couldn't bring himself to do. He would've tried to minipulate gases if he wasn't depressed at the moment. He just wanted to go back to his dorm and hide under his blanket. Maybe even kill himself, he just wanted to escape. He felt panick overide him, he just wanted to leave he hated this all of this.

"You idiots. You are scaring a little gir.... MY LITTLE SISTER! You've freaking scared the living daylights out of her. She's freaking crying. Now you guys have 5 seconds to disband, or you will find out just how strong my powers are!"

Suddenly the girls stopped, a voice sturn yet pretty scolded them. For a minute his mind envisioned Tetris came back, but then hee awoke from his daydream quite rudely. The girl's face wasn't Tetris' he was plunged back into depression. Tetris had become an obsession, he sighed feeling stupid. He guessed the kiss they had shared was absolutely nothing to her. He looked like he was about to cry... It was rather pitiful he almost resembled the girl who had been screaming and crying accept for the tears and screaming. He tried to knock himself out of it in order to thank her but he couldn't talk. His voice was gruff and cracky like he was about to cry. "Erm... Thanks..."

Fishi buried her head in Frankie's shoulder, more out of happiness at how fast Frankie had managed to get the crowd to disperse than anything. Frankie ignored the fellow behind her, focusing on Fishi instead, not saying anything, just comforting her.

And then he spoke. She spun around on her heel, slightly surprised, and rocked back to get her footing again. Her cold eyes looked at him blankly. "Who the..." she struggled for a word that wouldn't dirty the child's sensitive ears, "Heck are you, and what are you doing exposing Fishi to a crowd like that?" she snapped, Brooklyn accent clipping her words short.

Ri scanned the girls face. "Wooee. Tough crowd. Better pray for intervention from the little girl. That girl's gun's loaded." he clicked and whirred to Edward, and Frankie spared the little computer a sceptical look.

Fishi squirmed loose from Frankie's grasp, and climbed unto Edward's lap. "He's nice. He let me stay with him when I found the scary man. And then he gave me a cookie. And then he was really sad so all the loud people started being stupid," she paused, looking slightly confused, "I don't know why... But he's nice. I like him. You can't be mean." she stated matter-of-factly to Frankie, sticking her chin out in defiance for effect.
