A lonely song.

James had been out and had eventually ended up in the stables. He had been fond of horses ever since he had played a part in some cruesading and chivalry things. He found them to be relaxing. He wandered between the stalls until he found a horse to his liking. She was an old mare, greyed by age and many hardships. She was a quarter horse and you could tell she used to be a beautiful horse. Traces of a warm brown coat were still left and she had beautiful hazel eyes.

''Hello my dear.'' He said entering the mare's shelter.

He let a hand roam in the greyed blond mane and he could tell the animal was enjoying it. Spying a brush laying idly on the wall next to him, he started to brush her mane and polish her coat while the mare munched on some hay. He whistled softly a song, entertaining the horse in the stables.

Wanting to get some practice with her sword she had gotten not long ago, but not wanting to have to walk far into the forest to practice in peace, Amore headed toward the stables, hoping there would be a horse there she would be able to use. As she got there, she frowned at herself because she was wearing her favorite dress. It wasn't what people riding horses usually wore, but she wasn't entirely sure of that fact.

Entering the stables, Amore came up to the first horse she saw. She stepped up on the first board that ran across the gate on the horse's stall. She lifted her hand and let it sniff her hand to make sure she was harmless. She wasn't expected to have it then move its head and nuzzle her cheek with its wet nose.

The movement startled her so much she jumped back and ended up tripping over some object. She was sitting in the hay, her breath knocked out of her, before she knew it. Grumbling, Amore stood, and that's when she finally noticed the whistling. Curious, she headed over to where the noise was coming from.

The man's whistling faltered slightly when he heard the crash of someone falling at the other end of the stables, but he continued nonetheless, enjoying the throurough brushing he was giving the old mare. She seemed to be enjoying it too. She must not have this kind of attention often as there were younger horses in the stables than her and they could be used for some riding where she could not be.

He turned to see who had caused a ruckus and saw the young woman he had thought the other week and he smiled, amsued, at her clumsiness. He returned to giving attention to the mare and continued whistling, waiting to see what she would do. And honestly, a dress? He was sure that said dress was now ruined. The blond/brown haired man chuckled softly and then continued whistling his happy little tune.

As she came into view of the other occupant of the barn, Amore almost hummed along with his whistling, but caught herself in time before she made a fool of herself. Recognizing James, the man who had taught her how to sword fight, she smiled and lifted her hand in a wave.

"Hello, James!" She greeted happily, coming up to stand near the horse's head, hoping it wouldn't knock her over like the last one. "What're you doing out here?" After the question left her mouth, Amore wished to take it back. It was quite obvious what he was doing out here.

Gah... short...

James turned and saw her. He gave the young woman a smile and continued whistling as she approached. He cotniued to brush the mare's coat, much to her enjoyment.

''I am enjoying some peace and quiet thats all, and this beauty here looked lonely.'' He explained, that last part being about the horse.

Yeah, he loved horses, isn't it obvious?

''And you, what brings you to these parts?'' He asked her.
