Alma nodded and tried to relax a bit. "Alright. Yeah. But if you think for a second she's dangerous... you better call someone. Call it out."

She stopped and shuddered. Her emotions were running high, and the possibility of someone doing something awful during the elections again was not helping. "I... I better get back to the booth. Jesus is sweet, but he's not the most charming guy. I gotta wiggle these ears and pout my lip and get people in close so I can bludgeon them with my platform."

Leaning in, she kissed Jude hard on the lips. "Wanna come over after you talk to her, maybe? Tell me what hapoened... maybe unwind since it's so close to the end."

That was something he could be confident about. He was never going to be someone who saw something and stayed quiet. Not anymore. He'd done that enough with his father, keeping his secrets, but here?

No, not for anyone.

He was surprised by the intensity of the kiss, and not at all surprised by the fact that she was charming the mental pants off people.

"Alright," Jude said. "We can make a date of it. A night just for us, to relax once the worst of the election is over, and to celebrate our win."

Because he was confident. Even having changed his mind so late in the game... He could do it. He didn't sleep. And if people were seeing his posters while heading to the polls...

He leaned in, giving her a kiss of his own--albeit on the cheek--and then gave her his very best attempt at a cheeky wink.

"See you then."
