When Zoraida mentioned that Celeste was listening in, he spun on his heels and looked in the direction of the kitchen. He had not realized that she was eavesdropping, was she a person to do that, apparently that was the case. Was the intention to not have Celeste hear anything so she wouldn't worry, well, too late now.
The relationship between the two seemed more like sisters than Niece and Aunt, from the look of their exchanges., and wondered why that was. It then dawned on him, he knew nothing about Celeste or Zoraida, and he wasn't able to ask questions to clarify.
He blinked at the mention of the old woman and the lizardman, it was true that was almost a week ago now, but did they really just give up. The old woman showed interest in coming in and well, he wasn't sure, the implication was that she didn't really care about Ain and wanted to just eat Celeste.
'I won't allow that...' he thought while glancing at Celeste, as his hand balled into a fist.
Ain was then a bit shocked when Zoraida suggested he stay put - he nodded his head, and he had to agree but he just wouldn't say that he had went outside twice since he had been at Celeste's house, once was today. Straightening out his body, he looked to Zoraida, he was a bit tense from the conversation but decided to add some levity - he ran like a blur into the kitchen much faster than he had gone before just because he knew he could now and he returned with two plates with each a piece of cake only a moment later.
He handed a plate to both Broen and Zoraida, no more difficult conversations, if there was going to be bad times going forward he was just going to face it. A smile crept onto his face, it was a reassuring smile to tell Zoraida that everything was going to be okay if she caught the meaning. It was true he also wanted to ask what happened to the magic tool Cellphone, but he would let that matter drop for now.
Stepping next to Celeste, he glanced down at her curiously and wondered what she actually thought about all this. If she wanted she could have him leave, they didn't have to do what Zoraida wanted. If she had listened it would be obvious that Ain was probably going to lead trouble to the door, but if he left he was sure to be located by the Black Wings... eventually.
