Isabella soaked in the information generously as her understanding of Liliana grew. Her ambition for social work made a lot of sense given her very existence was such a functionally important job. She never questioned if someone would guide her to the afterlife when she died or how exactly she would react to the next life. These sorts of thoughts were common for people like Liliana she imagined. Being a vital step in someone's life must've weighed on the mind.

Deciding not to push any further and leave her brainstorming to herself Isabella perked up when she was asked about her life here. " It was pretty amazing actually." She thought back to her childhood "Years ago the city was a lot less full but the mixture of cultures and species made for an interesting childhood. One day you're hanging in the park with a mermaid then the next you meet a demi-god whose parents have decided to settle down and become dentists."

She scratched her head " If anything growing up here does remove the shock of seeing a new species. For me though, it never ruined my curiosity in understanding where all these different beings came from. For my parents, it was a matter of necessity. For others its a choice or chance of a better life."

"You are right about that," Liliana smiled. "I remember when I arrived on Manta Carlos... I was maybe seven at the time, that everything was a shock at first. I had never seen a real angel or demon before, and it was all kinda scary but exciting at the same time."

Taking a bit more popcorn from the bowl, Liliana settled back on the couch. "How has everything been schoolwise and all?I know you've been having to play catch up," she said as she glanced briefly at the stack of books Isabella had been pouring over when she arrived home.

Isabella groaned at the question. "Its been going pretty well considering how much things have changed. You want to talk about shocking I get more shocked at some of the jumps in tech then I do the species that brought them here."

Isabella pointed to her laptop "My Sister gave me this and said it was a newer model and when I compare it to the one I remember the changes are leaps and bounds ahead. Plus all the old topics I had down have had advancements in how things are thought about or performed....It can be a lot when I take a step back to look at it."

She sighed "Thankfully the support has been there and the group meetings help. Schoolwork has always been easy for me anyway it's more the social acclimation that's screwy."

She inwardly cringed at how her social scene had been obliterated and had to be rebuilt. Between friends that grew older or those going through their own shit, Isabella was juggling to build her social life back to its former stature.

Liliana listened quietly to Isabella talk. She could only imagine what she was going through. It must be so strange to wake up one day and find out that more than a decade has flown by and all that you knew was now different. Especially a lot of your friends or family.

"You know, there is supposedly going to be a flower arrangement workshop for Valentine's at the school next week," Liliana said. "Some girls from my class were thinking of going, maybe you might want to join us?" she offered.

Isabella smiled at the kind gesture Liliana gave. Even with all the support, the city was giving those affected by the freeze there were those people who felt the need to coddle and smother them as victims who couldn't think for themselves and needed to be treated as children. So far none of her housemates brought up the freeze to her in such a way she was uncomfortable or annoyed.

"I'd love to go." she thought for a second "...As long as it doesn't conflict with my schedule that is. I have tutoring sessions a couple of times a week on top of my classes." she pondered whether Professor Forestier would be bothered if she missed one session. "Just let me know when it is and I'll definitely try to be there."

A flower arrangement workshop didn't sound interesting but she'd said that about many things in life before actually trying them and inevitably loving it. Maybe she could send her mom something.

"That's so great. Thank you," Liliana remarked happily when Isabella accepted. "Most of my friends are guys, and they think flower arranging is lame, and I really want to try it out," she confessed.

"I will text you as soon as I know when the workshop is," Lily promised. "Then we can go, learn about flowers, make our bouquets or whatever, and if you're up to it, we could get lunch or something afterwards," she suggested.

Isabella's stomach growled at the mention of lunch. "Lunch sounds great actually...and this place would look nice with some amateur made bouquets" she laughed as she looked around the room.

The place was rather immaculate and one of the many reasons she was eager to jump at the opportunity of moving in. Living with her parents after such a long break would've been too much emotionally, and letting the city place her somewhere would've been uncomfortable. A house with a few other people her age, or at least in the same walks of life was far more familiar.

"...Actually, this place is nice enough. My mother would probably enjoy it more...getting flowers from her youngest and all that. She's always been a softy." she paused before speaking up again. " I bet you're looking to give yours to KirMir hmmm' She leaned in with a devilish smile as her hmmm drew out.

"You two are cute."
