*Clears throat* A chippy is a place that cooks fish, sells them, basically. Fish are normally dipped in some sort of batter before they are cooked. Thus, the fish getting battered could mean it was dipped in some sort of batter before being cooked, or that it was beat up. So.. Yeah. At least, that's what i think it means.. ^^;;
