A house isn't so big when there's two

"Work is pretty good so far. I just got back into it. I needed to take a break for a while. A vacation." Roldan nodded, thinking that was the best way to put it. He smiled a bit, enjoying this as much as he could.

"How about you?" he asked back, starting to eat his own food. "How is school? And your friends? You're still doing well in your classes, I bet."

"That's great to hear! I'm glad you're doing well. If you ever need help with studying or anything though, don't be afraid to come ask me alright?"

Roldan was slowly starting to relax. It was easy to do with mundane topics. Deep down, he knew that eventually they'd have to really sit down and talk about Narraine. But right now was not that time.

"What do you think about maybe having them over this weekend, or something? We could make food, find some movies you guys would like. Just have a really chill day, yeah?"

Roldan smiled, his eyes creasing. She was excited, and that made him happy. "Well I'll have to make something special for when they come over, huh? We could cook together, in fact. If you wanted to, that is."

Roldan was excited, and Iesha seemed to be easing into the idea of living here, at least for now. But he didn't want to push too hard, too fast. Make her uncomfortable or smother her when she needed space.

"But yeah, talk to your friends. They can come over any night as long as there's no school the next day. You guys can have the living room to yourselves."
