Sherry wasn't one to take many long walks around the perimeter of her new house. She had been spring loaded into a new lifestyle. She had been hauling in boxes of her things, whilst also settling to her new room and house. It was... Quaint. Smaller than the mansion, for sure. It worked, and she was glad that Angelo had decided to start fresh, after everything that had happened. She had waved her sister goodbye when she had set out on her own little adventure. For Sherry, all she hoped was a safe return. When she heard a thump and a small groaning noise, the girl was observing the outer layers of the house like a hawk. She saw her sister, rather wounded laying in a field of her own. "CC..." She had to be strong. The orange haired girl moved over and kneeled, wondering what all she could do right then. What could she even ask at that moment? She wasn't okay. She needed help.

"H-How..." Her hands were shaking, but they stopped when she realized that she didn't need to be scared. This was what she was going to college for, her career. "Let's get you to a safe place." It was obvious that she couldn't move much. "One second, okay? I'm sorry." She'd have to move her a bit, at least. She got some cushions from the couch, a pillow and two blankets; one for the ground and another for her. Sherry placed them all down, huffing with a loud exhale. Sherry looked at her. "Hey." She just gave a smile. "Is it okay if I l move you?"

Cordelia was not sure how long she had been unconscious. It could have been a few hours, or a few minutes - it was dawn anyway, so she did not think it was long. The noise in her ears was muffed, like she was underwater... Funny, she didn't remember water feeling this painful. The teenager groaned as she felt her ears pop, clearing things up so she could listen better. The young woman turned her head the slightest bit before having pain shoot up her spine. Nope, not doing that.

Sherry. Oh thank god, it was Sherry. "Hey, Sher'..." She mumbled, her normally smooth and collected voice sounding slightly garbled. Her voice was raspy, making her almost sound as bad as she looked. "Yes, of course. What time is it?" Cordelia sure was talking a lot for someone who looked like they had gone through hell. Then again, Sherry would not she technically did go through hell - and it usually did not leave her looking like this.

As Cordelia was gently moved onto the cushions, she grit her teeth and her breathing became deeper as she tried not to scream at the pain. A sprained wrist, three broken fingers for one. Dislocated shoulder, cuts having gone through her dress. Her hair was seared, burned at the remaining edges - the golden strands that used to reach just below her bust reaching her shoulders now. And these were too start.

"It's bright..." She mumbled absentmindedly. "Alone, did you find me alone?"

She moved her with care, using her hands to pick up her sister. She let her rest for a second, before she even talked to her again. "Its afternoon." She mentioned to her, keeping the conversation light. She ripped a piece of the fabric, putting it in her hands and chilling it. Sherry placed it on her head. "Yeah. I'm the only one." She smiled. "Everyone else is out right now. Do you want me to call someone?" Sherry looked at her body, trying to see where she was hurt. She gently hovered her hands over her ribs and chilled that too. She looked at her hand, gently taking it by her forearm to look at it.

The adjustment made her wince, and a weak groan exit her lips. She looked at Sherry with her head tilted as far as it could go without pain - which wasn't much. Who did she want to let know? Her mouth felt dry, tears burning her eyes. Her answer to that question was always the same person, but the memories and their legacy was too far away now. The next people to let know were always the eldest. Sherry already knew - should she tell Caterina? Should she tell any of the kids about the trip?

"Angelo. He doesn't know I'm back yet." Whispered the daughter of pride. God damn her, she thought her healing ability would kick in already. There was something in that magic of his, or maybe it was just his abuse of that body - she felt like she was still freshly sent through the shreeder. "Sher, Sherry. Get a healer, just the first aid and Rin-" Rin wasn't their medic anymore. The tears fell down her cheeks, the hot liquid feeling like fire against her skin. "The hospital isn't gonna do it."

She could see her sister unravelling before her. She hated it, feeling that sense of vulnerability through someone else. "Okay, I will." And she texted Angelo right then, stating that CC was home and needed some medical help. She wasn't sure when he would get it though. Sherry stared as she saw her cry though. It had been so long- if not the first time- that her sister had shed a tear. Sherry frowned and kissed her not-so-damaged hand. "I'm sorry. It's gonna be okay though, I promise." Even if she didn't truly believe it, she had to stay strong. This was for her sister's sake after all.

"Thank you." The young woman nodded, whining slightly at the pain. No more moving. She laid as still as she could, letting her sister do what she needed. "I guess it's a good thing our doctor was here and found me, huh?" She was trying to console Sherry with this situation, even if she was in pain. The fall semester was ending, so she knew things would be changing. More classes next Spring. While Cordelia lacked some pride in herself, she was always proud of where her siblings grew... Even if she didn't always agree in the fields of their talents.

The hand felt like static, like it had fallen asleep. "I know. I promise I'll explain... but not now." Cordelia spoke in hushed tone with that. Even though the kids were gone, she was still functioning on the idea that people could always hear them. When she was little, just adopted, Cordelia had always been startled at how easily how her adoptive fathers always found out about things in the house. She had become convinced that her parents, or family in general, were omniscient.

"Yes." She smiled at that, just watching over her body to see if there was any other wounds she could help. "That is what I want to go to school for." She giggled gingerly, even though the subject matter was not as gentle. "That's okay. I promise that I'll stay to listen." She nodded, ripping another piece, and getting it wet so that she could clear some of the dirt from her open wounds. Thankfully nothing bad. "Just rest okay?"

The young woman just watched her sister as she continued to take care of her. Some of the cuts on her body looked like they had almost been burned at the edges. The demon scrunched up her nose slightly as the cloth rubbed at her skin in order to clean the wounds and the flesh beneath. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to just replace the entire thing with calmer images. But all her mind could replace them with were stupid accidents as a kid and some rather unfortunate training sessions on how to use a switchblade.

"Okay." Cordelia whispered. The daughter of pride took a deep breath, strangled slightly from the injuries to her torso. While she did not fall asleep, she tried to just remain still and let herself relax. "How long do you think it will all take to heal?"

Sherry really didn't know. She had no idea how the body of a demon worked, how it was supposed to heal or fix itself. She could give a guess, but she knew that she would be very off with her numbers. "I really don't know.... I suppose you would be better with that." She paused and cooled the towel again. "DO demons have a different healing system?" She wanted to make some small talk, to keep both their minds off the wounds- or for Sherry to not ask how she got them.

"Demons generally heal a-at a substantially faster rate than humans." Cordelia stumbled on her words, the adrenaline having already left her system and screwing her over in the pain department. At least, the physical pain. The mental and emotional still loved screwing her over as Sherry tried to distract her.

"But I'm... I'm pretty much human in this situation, Sherry. I would've been halfway healed by now otherwise." She stumbled over herself in that regard. "He must've been using magic or something, using the body as a channel. I.." She took a shakey breath. "Sherry, if we don't fix this then I'm."

Done for.

Cordelia realized then she had never faced death. Not in her life, had she ever been truly afraid of dying. Pride liked her too much to let her need anyhting but regeneration in hell. But now that she had her ass handed to her by magic, she faced the possibility of not coming back.

"God, Sherry, I'm scared."
