She smirked at him, "well then, your talking to the girl who is willing to help you with that."

He laughed, despite the emptiness around them. "And for that, I am grateful. Especially since that girl is actually interesting." He nodded to enhance the meaning of his words.

She looked up at him, and stopped them from walking. Still, having him hold her. "You seem to like me alright," she added. "I won't take it personally, I mean, I understand." she half smiled at him, letting them continue to walk down the hallway.

He looked right back at her, his eyes softened by the sad, but truthful memories behind them. "It's hard not to like someone who is as intriguing as you. It's like seeing Da Vinci's work next to anyone elses, or comparing Mozarts music to..." He paused, trying to find a good example. "...Mine." He shrugged as they continued walking. "Some people naturally stand out, but not everyone is lucky enough to get to know them."

She laughed, honored to be beside such a sweet, but apparently misunderstood young man.

"It's hard not to like someone who is as intriguing as you. It's like seeing Da Vinci's work next to anyone elses, or comparing Mozarts music to..." He paused, trying to find a good example. "...Mine." He shrugged as they continued walking.

She smiled, Kotah definately had a way with words. And was good at flattering her. She never thought of herself as "intriguing" but wasn't going to correct him.

"Some people naturally stand out, but not everyone is lucky enough to get to know them."

"Like you." she half hugged his arm.

Kotah wasn't sure if he should say anything. People... "like him," weren't suposed to be the good guys. He had a negitive-based ability and didn't like the majority of humanity. He glanced at Enelya. I'll be the bad guy when it needs done. For now, being the good guy sounds like a good idea.

He walked with her quietly, not really wanting to say anything. His eyes retained their dismal gaze at his feet, not able to force the memories of that piano to the back of his head.

As they walked, she enjoyed the comfortable silence they shared. She looked up at him, and put some of his long hair, behind his ear, so that she could see his eyes. His face, was sharp, but gentle, even though it had the potential of being sharp in a flip of a coin. She figured he was happy with her, so he was more gentle. she recalled the conversations they had shared, and smiled to herself. The Starlight Academy was really looking up for her.
