"THE Mozart?! OH! You have to play it for me sometime!"

He laughed a little. "My favorite is Pachabel's Canon in D. Then again... Mozart's are more fun to play. I don't have any of them with me, though. They weren't mine, and regrettably, I had to leave them where I found them. You can see where all my inspiration comes from though, living in a house like that. If only it wasn't cramped with kids, it'd be perfect. That and... I'm not related to them." His lips pursed slightly in distaste.

"If you're feeling up to it, I wouldn't mind hearing more about yourself."

Enelya always thought as family being people who you weren't afraid to spend time with, but then, she didn't remember her family, so she wasn't in any place to judge.

"That's too bad, I bet you would have been brilliant. Would you mind showing me your works sometime? I'd love to see them." She gave him a radiant smile.

"If you're feeling up to it, I wouldn't mind hearing more about yourself."

As he said this, she realized that the main focus had been him for the past couple subjects, and thought maybe it made him uncomfortable. So, she was inclined enough to tell him what she could about herself...

"Well, I'll try and tell you what I remember..." her eyes wandered, where would she begin? "I don't know if I have amnesia, or if my brain just refuses to remeber, but, things are really vague for me, though sometimes, a peice will come to me in a dream... But all I remember is being the healer in the village, the little children would scrape their knees, and I'd mix up some Aloe Vera, or some such like that. I don't think they knew how, exactly I was able to heal them, but they were in pain, and I made it go away, so I don't think it made any difference to them. But, it was only when I talked to the animals, or the trees that they became suspicious. There are flashes of terrible faces, putting me down, and Archimedes trying to make me feel better. I spent a lot of time in the trees..."

Enelya took a deep breath, she had never, ever, fully explained to someone her past, or said it aloud all at one time. Only bits and peices were told to Archimedes, and even then, she didn't describe much.

"Then, the accident, I don't know how it happened, or how it started, just screams, red and orange flashes, more terrible screams...then, blank. I wound up in a willow tree." Enelya looked down, it was strange, not knowing herself, what she was like in the past, if maybe her personality had changed after the accident, or maybe she was just the same, she didn't know.

She looked at Kotah, who's purple eyes, gave her comfort, as sharp as they were. He seemed to understand, and well, talking to him made her feel better.

"That's...really all I remember..." she whispered.

"That's too bad, I bet you would have been brilliant. Would you mind showing me your works sometime? I'd love to see them." She gave him a radiant smile.

"I don't really play for people anymore." He looked at his book and smiled slightly, remembering only what his mother used to tell him. He ignored the memories after that.

"But, it was only when I talked to the animals, or the trees that they became suspicious. There are flashes of terrible faces, putting me down, and Archimedes trying to make me feel better. I spent a lot of time in the trees..."

Kotah was leaning back and chewing on his thumb while listening to her. "I think I know what could have happened..." He paused a moment. "But I don't think I should share it. Atleast, not here." He glanced around for the first time since she showed up.

"That's...really all I remember..."

"How'd you end up here, though?" He took his thumb from his mouth and glanced at it. He bit the corner of his nail too low and it started to bleed a little. He stuck it back between his teeth as if nothing happened, except now he had his tongue on it.

"I don't really play for people anymore."

"What a shame... " she murmured.

"I think I know what could have happened..." He paused a moment. "But I don't think I should share it. Atleast, not here." He glanced around for the first time since she showed up.

Enelya's eyes widened. He could know something? This was rather odd... she had always thought her village to be remote, but for all she knew, it could have been on Mars or something. , she thought to herself.

"What do you mean, you can't tell me here? Oh! You must tell me!" she pleaded. If there was hope at discovering something about her past, Enelya was willing to investigate, even if it was painful.

"How'd you end up here, though?"

Enelya smiled keenly, "That my friend, I am not so sure of myself. I have a feeling Archimedes found out about it somehow, or maybe a tree or something told me, but I'm really, not quite sure. As strange as that may sound to you. Bad memory, remember? I'm lucky I remember what I do." She even thought to herself about it, how did I get here...?

"What do you mean, you can't tell me here? Oh! You must tell me!"

"Well..." He sighed. "I don't... know anything. It's just a guess. A good guess, based on common knowledge, but still a guess...." He paused and sat back up. "It... It sounds to me like they were getting nervous when they found you talking to nature. Maybe someone started cutting down a tree or something, I don't know, but you would have gone to them to tell them to stop, right? They would have gotten angry, and possibly started getting people to outcast you." He chewed on his lip in thought. "As for the... "accident," it sounds like a fire. If you really can talk with nature, and there really was a fire.... Would your mind be able to handle the screams of people AND nature?" He looked up at her on the last few words.

"That my friend, I am not so sure of myself. I have a feeling Archimedes found out about it somehow, or maybe a tree or something told me, but I'm really, not quite sure. As strange as that may sound to you. Bad memory, remember? I'm lucky I remember what I do."

He thought to himself, Archimedes... She's said that name a couple times now, but who is it? He passed it off for now. Instead, he asked, "Did you just... show up here one day?"

She pondered about his hypothesis... it was all very logical. But, she remembered the village as being a loving community, but as far as she knew, most regular people weren't very accepting of strange, and extraordinary things. Enelya started to whimper.

"Would your mind be able to handle the screams of people AND nature?"

Her eyes started to weld up, she didn't know, her mind was racing, what really DID happen that night? "I don't.. I don't know, I had always thought it was the tree itself saving me, not me controlling it... or maybe, it happened as a result of protecting myself, like a reflex, but I don't know..." She looked at Kotah, looking for some comfort. It was all a blurr to her, and, this was the first time she had anyone to talk to about it.

"Did you just... show up here one day?"

Enelya studied him, she wasn't sure if he had meant to be sarcastic, or sincere, or maybe concerned, but replied through her tears, "A couple days, actually."

Just then, the tiny blue lizard came crawling up Enelya's arm, he had found lunch, second lunch, and a nice snack. She smiled weakly at him, and he looked at her, puzzled.

"Err...This is Archimedes, my lizard-friend."

He sighed again. "I'm sorry... It's just... I can't think of anything else aside from a global attack. I mean... there's another guess, but it's worse. Maybe I'll share it some other time." He frowned at the thought of making her even more upset.

"Err...This is Archimedes, my lizard-friend."

He raised an eyebrow at the reptile. "It's... blue." He just looked at it for the moment, glad to have a change in mood.

"It's... blue."

She smiled weakly, and tried to wipe up her tears, she was making a mess of herself and was really embarrassed.

"Yeah, err.. I found him near a pond. Water-born." She looked down. How was she going to handle what else he thought had happened to her? Why was the past so important anyways? Couldn't she just move on, and forget about it?

"You don't have a problem with lizards, do you?" She hoped to God that he didn't because she really liked this young man, and didn't want to have to shoo off Archie, he was her best friend, after all.

"You don't have a problem with lizards, do you?"

"No, of course not. He just looks... er... human. I mean, yeah, he's a lizard, but he's smart. Not... that... Eh. You know what I mean." He sighed at his muttering. "So why'd you name him Archimedes?

He kept from sighing again. Yeah, he was used to giving bad news, even causing it, but this was weird. It sucks a lot more when it happens to someone cool, he thought.

Enelya chucked, "Yes, I know exactly what you mean, I talk to him all the time, sometimes, he seems more human than well... humans. I named him Archimedes because well, he's my best friend, ever since I was a little girl, and more times than not, he's gotten me out of BIG trouble, he's like my conscience."

He seemed to be disturbed by something, but she didn't think to ask. She gave him a small smile, and ran her fingers through her hair.
