Shit. Shit, shit, shit! This sucked so much. Tomo had of course expected that Lucas would be at the festival, hell, everyone was there. But for her to run into him like that? She should've just ran straight away. But nooooo! She had to stay and listen to what he might say. Boy, it had hurt so much more than Tomo had wanted it to hurt when Lucas had turned the other direction. Even the pity was just the goody two shoes in him. It wasn't out of real concern. Who would actually be concerned about Tomo?
Tomo shook her head and made her way through the crowd elbow style. She shouldn't let these thoughts in again. She had Tadashi, and perhaps Shiro. She had her siblings, if everything else failed. So Tomo had to keep the monster out.
Tomo stopped to buy herself some chicken wings and went to sit under an isolated tree in the bushes to eat them. There she just breathed in and out many times, eating some chicken in between. Nothing beat some good bird.
Tomo leaned back against the tree and looked up at it's branches. The early morning sky was pale blue. Tomo sighed but stiffened when she smelled Lucas. She changed her position so she wouldn't be so easily detectable from the street and hugged her legs. Tomo didn't know if she was mentally prepared to handle judgement from Lucas. The guy had said nice things but who knew what kinda monster he actually thought Tomo was. Tomo buried her face on her legs and prayed Lucas would just pass by.
