3817, now known as Zach took a breath of the fresh island air. He was currently leaning on the corner what seemed to be a clothes store. How many days since he escaped, how many innocent people dead by his hands. No. Their hands. He could never forget about Eden, he plauged Zach's nightmares. He wished there was something that could take him away from this torture, even if just for a moment. He sighed. He didn't have many friends to talk too, but he wasn't surprised. He was an abomination. He was the thing people checked under their beds for. Peacekeeper my ass . Zach was about to look up at the clouds when he heard a very distinct noise. It was like something was being dragged across the ground but it was constant and the noise wasn't as heavy as one would think. He turned his head to the noise only to see a woman with the lower half of a snake slithering across the sidewalk. Strange..she looks familar but......where have I seen her before?

So far today had gone by smoothly. She had finished up with her school work early, and was not working tonight. That meant that she had some time to herself to finish up some errands. Most of the time it was grocery shopping. In fact her largest expense since having to get her own home was food. perhaps if she were able to eat other things, her costs would not be so high, but being a Lamia meant that for nutrition she was a strict carnivore. thats why her destination for the moment was a butchers shop not a couple blocks away. She would make this trip several times a week, buying hundreds of dollars worth of food every time. With that in mind she had quickly become the favorite customer of the local butcher, and was often given a small discount on her purchases.

The streets today were not as busy as they normally were. That was always a blessing. She was after all over 30 feet long, which meant that there was alot of her that could be stepped on, or tripped over. In most cases people were pretty good about things. She had become well enough known that people often simply stepped over her before carrying on with their days. Despite that she was still used to the occasional foot landing on her.

Up ahead there was a clothing shop. She had been there once or twice before buying skirts. That is before she had met Kaya and started getting her clothes custom made. Now this was just a store that she used to shop at. Strangely enough though leaning against it was a man who had now seemed to turn his focus on her. Such a thing was not uncommon given her appearance, but this man seemed familiar. Oddly so. She hadn't seen him at Temptations, so he had never been a client of hers, and she wasn't sure she had seen him at the school. Still he looked familiar, and now seemed to be equally focused on her as she was on him.

A moment later and she was passing him directly. rather than keep going however, something inside compelled her to stop. for a moment she stared in silence as if trying to place where she had seen him, though to little avail. finally she spoke up, smiling and sounding rather chipper. "You probably get this a lot but you look familiar. Are you on tv?" It was an honest question, as she quite possibly might have seen him on one show or another .

As the girl stared at him Zach thought he had made it akward. I mean of course he did he was just staring at her. He had good reason how ever, he wanted to know where he had seen her. Then she asked if he was on tv. She said he looked familar so it made sense that that would be one of the first ideas to come to mind. "Hm? Oh no no. I wish I was on T.V. I can't act for the death of me." He kept staring for a few moments before speaking back up with a smile. "I apologize if I'm making this uncomfortable, I just think you look familar as well. I just cant put my finger on where I have seen you." His smile was sweet and looked genuine, though on the inside he was a complete wreck. I guess I am better at acting than I thought....

Well that confirmed that he wasn't on tv. So where did she know him. After a second she simply decided that maybe he had one of those familiar faces or that she had simply caught sight of him somewhere else. though that still left her in this now open conversation with no where else to go. That is until he stated that she looked familiar too. This of course brought a smile to her face as she pulled her tail in and lifted it up, running a section of it through her hands before allowing it to slowly descend back to the ground. "Well I'm the only one like me here. So you've probably seen me." unfortunately he still looked human, and there were lots of humans, or human looking people here. "I'm Aylin." she said extending a hand to him.

He had a nice smile and didn't look to bad as far as she was concerned. And it wasn't as though she wasn't used to being stared at by now, so there was nothing that really made this awkward for her. but maybe on his end things were a little different. She wondered if he was used to people talking to him. She knew some people had had little positive experiences in their life and would simply avoid others at all costs. Maybe he was like that. "Don't worry. I don't think it's so awkward. What are you doing out here all alone?"

Zach paused for a moment as he saw her tail lift up and part of it running through her hands. When she said she was the only one like her around he frowned. "Well that isn't nessacarily a bad thing. Makes you unique." He went back to smiling, pausing again when she extended her hand to him. He took it moments later looking her directly in the eyes. "A pleasure to meet you Aylin. I am Zach." Then she asked the big question. Why was he here alone. There was a few ways he could answer this but he decided to just best to skim around the real reason "Its a beautiful day and I don't have much else to do, I thought I might as well enjoy it." It was true that Zach didn't have much to do and wanted to enjoy the day so he was telling the truth. But it still wasn't the full truth which would bug Zach for the rest of the day.

Aylin smiled at him. So he was out and alone. But at least he was positive about it. He seemed like an ok sort of person, and somehow she found herself wondering more about him. Why was he alone? Most people here tended to have friends around, Unless they were in the middle of some specific task like she was. Where did he come from, and what did he do? Maybe figuring out that would end the question of where she had seen him, though at this point it wasnt important anymore.

"Well Zack The pleasure is all mine" She said with a little giggle. Suddenly Aylin was struck with a great idea. At least one that she thought was great. "Well If you don't have any plans Maybe I could tempt you to help me with a few of my errands. I need to purchase some things. I'd be happy to make you dinner when we are done."

Zach smiled, this girl was interesting to say the least. He had never met a snake person before but she seemed extremely sweet. "I would enjoy that Aylin." Zach was very confused on how to act. Helping people do some of their errands was normal right? Zach gave up thinking and just kept smiling at Aylin. "So. If I may ask what is the first errand I'm helping you with?" Best be preapared on what to expect.

Aylins grin widened. It would be good to have help. Not that she wasn't capable of handling this on her own like she had before. "well I need food. Lots of it. My first stop is the local market not far from here. A few things there, and then off to the butcher for some meat." She had left out that it would be a lot of meat. There were only a few basic things that she needed at the market. eggs being the big ticket item. three dozen would last her three days. Aside from that she didn't need to eat much else, but had developed a taste for a few treats as she called them, considering they offered her no nutritional value.

Aylin started to slither along, gesturing for Zack to walk beside her. She made sure to give him enough room so that she didn't trip him up or bump him needlessly while they walked. "So Zack. What do you do? Are you a student?"

Zach nodded, sounded resonable. When she started to slither away Zach was quick to act carefully moving up to where they were their shoulders were about aligned, careful not to step on her snake half. She then asked one of the more difficult questions. He hated lying but he needed to, it was better that way. "Hm? Oh no I'm currently unemployed. Im not a student either. What about yourself?" I might as well know what she does, I mean it is only fair right?

Unemployed wasn't a bad thing. People were after all arriving here daily. It was getting to a point where jobs were getting harder to find. She herself had been lucky, finding a job that had specific demands that she could handle. Which now the conversation had turned to. She pondered for a moment as to what she should say in regards to her chosen profession before finally deciding to divulge her story a little further. "Well, I'm a college student. I study Cello. And..." She hesitated a moment choosing her words carefully. She didn't want to discredit herself or her job by choosing the wrong words. "I am an escort of sorts I suppose." No matter how she tried it still came out sounding bad. "I work at a club on the strip."
