Private A FancVi Dinner

Things had been kind of a whirlwind of late, with all kinds of craziness going on across the island in addition to simpler but still difficult things- like Violeta struggling with the morality of being a counselor. But all of that had been shoved forcefully into the background for the night.

Vi wanted to do something a little out of character, but definitely exciting. A legitimate dinner date with Eon at a very fancy, upscale restaurant downtown. Of course she wouldnt necessarily be eating the food, but the experience... well, she was hoping it would go well. At the very least she could get all prettied up to really wow Eon.

To that end she had spent all day getting her hair straightened and pulled down into a pretty hairdo like she had seen in one of the magazines at the hair stylist's shop. She'd actually put on makeup for a change, but by far the standout feature was the ornate long sleeved black lace dress, accompanied by a black silk ribbon choker necklace and she actually had two lace gloves to wear too. The gloves she had left off though out of fear of ripping them before Eon came to collect her from her dorm.

She ran a brush through her soft hair one last time as she waited for him to arrive.

Vi heard the knock and threw down the brush, causing it to bounce off her bed and fling off into a corner with a clatter. Then she hurried over to slip on her gloves and smooth out the wrinkles in her dress.

It was a couple minutes before Vi finally unlocked and swung the door open with a big dumb goofy smile all across her face. "Eon! ... wait wait wait. Good evening, sir." She had started to react with her usual excited way and then tried to be more serious and formal. It only half worked. The words and tone if voice fit but she couldnt hide her happiness from her face even with makeup and lipstick and.. well she was still Vi.

She grinned and looked him up and down. "I bet we'll be the best looking couple they've ever seen."

Vi wanted to curtsy back but realized she didnt actually know how. Instead she happily linked arms with him and leaned in to kiss him on the cheek. Screw being too formal, this was supposed to be fun right? She did have to hurriedly remove a glove to wipe away a bit of lipstick from his cheek with her thumb though. Oops.

Vi laughed. "I guess we'll be Mr and Mrs Amazing tonight." With that she turned and locked up before looking back at Eon and grinning. "Ready when you are. I can't wait."

Vi gave him an absolutely giddy look as they went about fussing over each other and being all romantic. To be perfectly honest Eon was the only person she had truly felt this way about. The butterflies in the stomach being drowned by buckets full of caffeine kind of feeling. There was zero hesitation in heading through the portal with him and only more excitement as they drew nearer to the fancy restaurant with rich stained woods and huge pristine marble slabs. Even a freaking fountain out front just to sell the fact that they were so fancy.

She laughed as she looked over at the place. Boy was this going to be weird but great. "I know, usually we're chasing each other up trees or off rooftops. Look at us being the sensible, proper people for a change. Vi lifted her nose a little and tried to look more like how she thought rich people might hold themselves. It was pretty hard to sell the lie.

"I expect you to eat enough snails or fish eggs or whatever it is they serve here for the both of us Eon. I'll make you the fattest, happiest King of Cats around," she laughed again. Clearly having a good time even though they had just started the evening. A maître d' naturally met them at the door to the restaurant even before they could reach the handles. Bidding them come in, and of course eying them curiously as a couple they did not recognize as having been there before.

Vi hung onto Eon's arm as they were escorted to their table, both because it seemed like a 'proper' thing to do and because, well, she liked holding onto him anyway. Naturally she sat across the table from him though as the waitstaff came by with the menu and glasses of water. She didn't really pay too much mind to her menu, choosing instead to gleefully look around at all the pretty decor, and finely dressed people. Ok, so maybe they did stand out a bit even with their finest of clothing. Vi felt like people were definitely staring, and judging. Actually she pretty much knew it- based on the emotions she was tasting. At least she was feeding off of the situation.

"Hey, you look very handsome tonight. And i'm pretty sure what I think matters way more than what they think, right?" She grinned across the table at him and poked at one of the utensils on the table curiously. "I bet they have really good seafood. But maybe we can politely bug the waiter to recommend something special? Also... look at this really tiny fork." She poked at the small seafood fork before her. Having never, ever seen formal dining at that level of extravagance the fork was kind of ridiculous.
