A Dying Wish

Go to Starlight, Rhia. It's the only place where I'll know you're safe.

Her mother's last words rang in Rhia's ears as she accepted the stack of papers from the receptionist. She forced a shaky smile and nearly collapsed into the chair she was offered, still a bit in awe at the sheer number of supernatural students the school housed. I thought we were pretty...well, different, she thought, watching the students pass by. There are just...so many people! If "people" was the right word, here at Starlight Academy.

When she finished filling out the enrollment forms, Rhia was given a key to her new dorm room and a copy of her schedule. She set out a bit hesitantly, uncertain of her place in this strange new environment. Her eyes couldn't focus on any one thing; there were so many sights that were so completely foreign to her, so many wonders that she had never experienced! Curiosity and awe flowed through her, despite her lingering homesickness for the life she'd left behind.

Goodness. What was he supposed to do? Pario was concerned, very concerned. He didn't even know if this is where he wanted to be. He wanted to just, get rid of his life, to start it all over, but he knew he could not. He sighed at the doors to the big school. Starlight Academy. "Pario, why are you here?" Acellyn whispered into his ear. That was is problem. His power, his dead sister. Following him everywhere, judging him, telling him what to do.

'To start over Acellyn.' He wanted to ignore her. He went into the school and saw a girl. He opened his mouth and smiled a bit, making sure no one saw. He went up to the office to get done all of his paperwork. To much paper. He finished pretty fast and looked down at the ground as he sat on a bench in the room. He didn't want to see people, dead people. He didn't have to talk to them, and they didn't always bother him, but still, it wasn't good.
