"Perfect! You won't regret it, Brynjar. I promise you we will find that perfect cliff for you to call your own," Noel said when his friend, his beautiful gentle warrior, agreed to go with him to the cliffs and spend the day together.

Noel hadn't felt this excited about going somewhere with someone in ages actually - maybe even a decade or so more, and it caught him off guard how intense the feeling was of just wanting to spend time aking Brynjar happy.

Hiatus
Brynjar was quite sure he wouldn't regret it, he never regretted any of the moments he spent with Noel, no matter how fleeting or embarrassing they were. There was something soft and warm in his eyes as he looked at Noel and nodded.
"Thank you, though I wouldn't call any cliff my own. Nature belongs to itself. But...I know what you mean."
Brynjar smiled slight and lifted his pint up only to notice it was already empty. That reminded him...
"I have to insist on paying for this. I still owe you, after all."

Noel knew it was a matter of pride, and calmly nodded his head when Brynjar offered to pay for their drinks. There'd be other occasions that he could pay for their drinks or meals. He wasn't worried about that.

"By all means, but next time we go out, I'm paying - it will be my treat," Noel said looking at Brynjar very warmly.

Hiatus
Brynjar was relieved Noel accepted his offer to pay for their drinks. If he had declined Brynjar's offer he wasn't sure he would have had any chances of debating against Noel. He had strange charm that had an even stranger effect on Brynjar.
Brynjar nodded slowly, when Noel offered to pay next time they went out. Next time...there would be a next time.
That made Brynjar strangely happy.
"I suppose...that is fair...thank you."

Brynjar ordered them second pints and the two men continued their evening, chatting this and that and enjoying each other's company.
