"Quite truthfully, I am not too sure yet," she admitted evenly as she looked at Basilio. "I have offers from my brothers business associates for these," she said as she gestured to the pile with red circles and marks that were quite obviously the businesses that were operating illegally. "But I am on the fence about selling them on and turning them over to the police." she said as she sipped her drink.

"These though," she said with a lot more confidence and conviction, "These are going to be set up to fund the Forest Respite," she told Basilio. "They generate enough income on their own to fund and run the place without any outside investment, public or private for quite a while. Their yearly profits combined easily surpass the projected running costs for the next four to seven years," she informed him.

"And those there, the shell companies. I may keep one or two, sell or dissolve the rest. Probably maintain the one in Barbados and the other in Luxemburg," she stated knowing the rules concerning those two countries well and thinking she might be able to use the one in the Barbadoes for the distillery she was looking to acquire.

"Well then," Basilio said with a curt nod. "It looks like you have everything you need in order."

A pause as his lips drew into a thin line. A look of disapproval and irritation. "Did you only ask me here today because of my knowledge of criminal activities, Miss Del Bosque? That could be considered by many to be a highly insulting gesture. Or is there more? I know my son worked for you before. And Mr. Broen as well."

He stopped and waited.

"Goodness no, not at all. I am sorry if it appeared that way," Zora had the good graces to admit that that wasn't the reason at all. "Unfortunately, I tend to get a little one-minded and you caught me having just gone over the files in question, and truthfully, they were top of mind."

"I did want to meet you because, well, Broen is my boyfriend and Jude used to work for me and I'd easily consider him a friend," she said very truthfully.

"Broen has also spoken fairly well of you, and I was curious since there are few people he mentions from back home," she admitted.
