Of all days.

Trinity just wanted some fruit soda from that specific vending machine in town before staying home for a solid week. She didn't expect the streets to be packed with people, watching some kind of concert or something. Normally, she would just skip the crowds and go home, but this detour shouldn't take too long. It would just be less than 10 minutes of getting past strangers, then she'd be done.

Pushing people aside without hurting them was proving to be. Sm all seemed enraptured by the figure on the stage and were loath to make any sort of distance from him.

Why are music fans like this?

"Excuse me... Just passing through, please..."

She managed to get into an area with less people, vending machine just in sight. She could hear the person on stage from here, now that there were less bodies to absorb the noise.

images (11).jpegIt was a nice day out, and Stefan had decided to generate a little buzz for his album that was coming out. Finding a nicer open area just off the street so as not to disrupt traffic, the demigod pulled out his gifted guitar and had began to play.
At first it was just an idle bit of strumming. Eventually he started singing. His soulful voice alone, along with a couple people recognizing him had started to gather a small crowd. As it grew, Stefan worked in his seiðr ability and images sprung to life around him. Tales of great battlefields, warriors, and the center of the tale, the Valkyries.
The images continued to move as if a movie were playing out all around the crowd as they cheered. Stefan ended the song to a loud round of applause. His lopsided grin coming out.
"Thank you everyone. Keep an eye out for my album coming out soon. I appreciate the support!"

Trinity hastily punched in her orders just as the illusions started rolling in. Clink, clink. She got the drinks just as the vending machine faded into images of a faraway land.

Wait a minute... this is Folkvangr.

Trinity turned towards the stage. There were images of Valkyries performing heroic acts. The aftermath of a battle, with the Valkyries sending the valorous to Valhalla. All the stories of the beings that ruined her life a few years ago.

Trinity was not pleased.

She started forcing her way to the front of the stage, not bothering to be polite about it anymore. The soda bottles clinked aggressively as she shoved people aside. Fortunately, everyone was too busy being entranced by the song and seiðr to be upset.

Trinity finally got to the middle of the crowd when the song ended. Everyone started clapping and cheering around her. She finally snapped. One of the bottles in her hand exploded into shards, showering bystanders in bits of glass and droplets of strawberry yogurt soda. She could barely feel the glass shards in her hand as she yelled towards the stage, not caring if the singer heard her over the applause.

"Are you serious?!"

There was a bit of commotion from in the middle of the crowd as people began to leave and head about their day. A few were cleaning something off of themselves and looking back rather angrily.
Icy blue eyes followed the gazes back and found where they were aimed at. A rather upset looking person who yelled towards Stefan. What was going on right now? That was when he noticed the glass shards in her hand and he was able to put the scene together in his mind.
"Whoa. You ok?"
Not bothering to put his guitar up, Stefan moved over to trinity with concern in his eyes. As he went he noticed something about her. Something familiar. Her posture. The demeanor. It was all extremely familiar for someone that was a total stranger.

Breathe. Breathe. Don't lose it out here. Too many people.

Trinity could already feel her pulse quickening and the blood surging in her head as the singer approached. Something about his eyes should have tipped her off, but at the moment, she was too enraged to pick up on who he was. Her last bottle of fruit soda shook as she spoke. She still did not look as though she felt anything from her hand, which was slowly dripping with pink and red.

With any luck, she could maybe hold back for an entire conversation.

"Do you know what kinds of stories you're telling? What kinds of beings you're praising?" Trinity took a deep breath. "Do you have no idea what they've done to people?!"

When he got closer, Stefan knew immediately what was going on. He had seen it plenty of times. From behind his mirrored aviators, his eyes grew concerned, especially with people still trailing out, and some hanging around.
"So it seems like I may have some explaining to do..."
His voice tried to stay as calm as he could. He was hoping his calmer demeanor would rub off and help settle her down some. He motioned back over where he had left his guitar case. People had cleared out from around it. Stefan's bag was also back over that way, and he at least had an extra shirt in it incase she wasn't able to heal her hand up.
"Let's go over there and talk a bit. I'll buy you another drink."

People around her were also simply trying to leave. It seemed that the concert was starting to break up. Somehow, the lack of people and the fact that the singer seemed genuinely concerned kept her from completely losing it. She sighed and released just a little of the tension building in her shoulders.

"All right. I'll hear you talk."

Trinity immediately walked over to where the singer left all his things. As her rage started to settle, she could feel her senses coming back. Trinity could feel the cold of the night and the sting in her hand again. As she stood there, she hastily wiped off the blood off the inside of her coat, knowing that it would heal up soon.

Stefan held a genuine smile as she stated she'd listen and seemed to calm down a little. Walking briskly to the vending machine, he bought two drinks, a replacement for hers, and a coke for himself. With a more relaxed movement, Stefan moved back towards his things and held the drink out to her.
"I got a shirt in my bag if you wanna clean up a little."
Reaching down in the bag, he pulled out the extra t-shirt and offered it up. Stefan wasn't expecting her to take it, but the offer was there. A sigh escaped his lips as he peered at her from behind the mirrored aviators.
"Alright. I gather from your reaction, you have some connection to the Valkyries and I can promise you, there might not be anyone else on this island that you could talk to about them that really knows them like I do."
Taking a swig of his drink, Stefan knew he was going to have to tag himself exactly how he hated. Luckily lately, he had started excepting it and being proud of it.
"Lemme introduce myself. I'm Stefan Jogstad, son of Freyja."

Trinity paced as she waited, to let off some steam. As the singer returned, she took her soda without thanks and popped it open with just one hand, waving off the offered T-shirt with the other. "No need. they'll close up really soon." She started chugging while Stefan spoke, giving a tiny nod as he mentioned the Valkyries.

As Stefan introduced himself, Trinity choked on her soda. It took a few moments of coughing and spluttering through a throat of fruit soda before she could even muster a few words. "Son... of... Freya?! Your mother's going to kill me..." She coughed a few more times and exhaled. "You're right about the Valkyries, though... my mother was one. I'm Trinity Falks. Daughter of Skogul. Do you... Have you heard of her?"

Stefan tossed his shirt back in his bag and began carefully putting his custom guitar back in its case. Stefan merely smiled at her reaction. It was one he had grown accustomed to and knew it was best to not make a bigger deal out of it.
"I doubt she'll kill. Plus I'm sure I can talk her out of it if she does decide to."
A small chuckle came out as he looked back up at trinity through the mirrored glasses. A lopsided grin planted firmly on his face.
"It's a pleasure Trinity. And yes I know Skogul. She's put me through the ringer on more than one occasion when she's visited Fólkvangr."
