Lyndis took her time to get ready for a date. One in a really long time, instead of wearing a dress she had a blouse and some dress pants on, both were black and clinging to her figure. She got into her car and drove to a bowling Alley. Hopefully not being too late, she wanted to not be late for her first date in a long time. So she want to be early. She looked at the time, she was supposed to meet.. Noah. Right. A Police Officer.

She flipped her hair a bit after parking, making sure she was okay, grabbing her purse, putting on some lipstick then getting out of the car. The time was 6:45pm. She was supposed to meet him for 7pm. She took a deep breath as she walked towards the bowling establishment. Taking a moment just to wait outside with her coat on since it was sort of cold out being winter and all.

"Oh, well I hope I make a good first impression."

She spoke lightly. She didn't have much make up on, just lipstick since she really didn't need any make up to look better. Frankly, make up made her look worse. She decided to pull out a comb and comb her hair while she waited outside instead of heading inside. Just to see how longi t would take, either that he was inside already or on his way.. Or parking. Who knows?

Hope this goes well...

Noah had been contemplating this for a while. His first ever real date was sure to be interesting. He never really dated, he was always too impish and unconfident a person.
He did try speed dating once, but you could imagine how that went. Nonetheless, Noah was quite excited, and hoped that his date would go well.

He stepped out of his car, shut and locked it.
Noah was usually one to wear casual, but he wasn't sure how the "dating dress" thing worked just yet. He had decided to play it safe.

He donned black dress pants, along with a black belt and a short-sleeves maroon button-up with small, frequent white dots spread evenly across it. His hair was as always, completely dry brushed, curved, not curled.

Naturally, his weapon was subtly strapped to his side.

It was about 6:48 when he got out, and he began to look around for Lyndis, when he saw her a few spots away.

Be cool, Noah.

He smiled.

"Hey, Lyndis!"

Lyndis was debating on heading inside the building and waiting inside. She looked at her phone once more as she tapped her foot a bit, maybe she was being stood up? The idea began to make her think until she heard a familiar voice. She turned to the parking lot and saw him.

The man of hour.

"Hey Noah! Nice to see you again." She said, waiting for him, when he came closer to the door she opened her arms and hugged him for a brief moment then pulled away.

"Well.. You dress up nicely." She said teasingly, grabbing her phone for a moment then turning it off. She took the night off for this, she was not wanting work to call her as she put her purse over her shoulder.

She looked him up and down for a moment, just taking in that she was on a real date. With a real person, and a cop! Bonus!

Someone who might understand her life or what she is for her family. Looking around, seeing not many people here.

"You ready?" She said with a teasing smile.

"Yep. Let's do it. You look great, by the way."

She seems nice. She's dressed really nicely, too.

He had made sure to take off of work beforehand. It wouldn't be fair to her if Noah had to unexpectedly leave. Silencing his phone as well, he slipped it into his left pocket.

"I didn't know you were good at bowling."

He said this with a teasing smile, and a hint of flirt, as he opened the door for her.
Impression is key, he thought.
Noah wouldn't dare let any bit of impoliteness exist during a date. As a police officer, he had to learn how to be courteous to everyone anyway. This was a walk in the park. No one or no thing could correct him on his manners. He wouldn't allow it.

"So, how many games do you want to play?"

Even though he didn't have much experience, he made some clever assumptions.

You're cool with whatever, Noah. Let her make the choices.

He definitely wasn't the dating type, and he obviously wasn't the best, but he had learned some things from what he's seen in the past.

Lyndis blushed a bit at the compliment, pushing him playfully.

"Flatterer." She said with a cheerful giggle.

'Tell me more..' she thought.

She smiled brightly as the door was opened. walking in and trying to find the front desk. When he said he didn't know she was good at bowling.

"I used to do a lot of bowling as a kid. My uncle and aunt took me bowling when i did well with my studies." She said with a giggle. Telling him a little bit about herself wouldn't hurt would it? Though he was acting like such a gentlemen, though.. Lyndis was going to pay if they went to dinner. There were no if ands or buts. She turned to him with her hands behind her back, spinning on the spot.

"Well.. How's about we play two games for now, see where that takes us, cutie."

She was extremely rusty when it came to dating, she hadn't been on a real date in a long time and was so busy with work that it became second nature, but she wanted a night away from it all.

This was her chance.

"Sounds like a plan."

He smiled at her comment. He couldn't tell if this was how she felt or if this was just a flirty nature. Nonetheless, he accepted and moved on. He never got anywhere doubting before, what good would it do him now?

He spotted the front desk.

"Over here."

Leading her there, he looked at the person at the front. He recognized the person too. But it'd be rude to go off on a tangent with someone else. He refrained.

"Two games, please."

He pulled out $5 and $10 bills, one of each. He knew the prices well enough.
Placing the money on the counter, he turned to Lyndis and smiled, then turned back.

"Keep the change.

He then asked for a pair of "eleven and a half"s, and waited for Lyndis.

Lyndis smiled brightly at the gesture. He followed him as he bought the games, going to grab her money as well-then stopping when he paid. Smiling at him. A real Gentlemen.. Usually most people would want the rich girl to pay for it, but this was good. She looked at the shoe sizes and gave it thought.

"womans 7 please.." She said with a bit of a blush.

She then looked at Noah for a moment. "Thank you for taking me out."

She said, getting her shoes and swapping her shoes quickly and tying up the laces. Taking a moment to get used to bowling shoes and not high heels.

"Maybe next time I'll bring own bowling shoes." She giggled then looked up at Noah. "And get you a pair." She giggled. Standing up and a little impatient, grabbed Noah's hand and almost started to pull him towards their lane. Giggling a bit, with a huge smile on her face as she sat down, putting her purse down beside her and crossed her legs almost on instinct, All the dresses she wore, though she was wearing pants she was so used to it.

"So.. I think you should go first~" She said with a giggle. "I promise I'll go easy."

Though she also debated on making it a game with the game, though just wanted the first round as either a warm up or just for fun.

His shoes already tied, he walked over the the ball-catch.

"If you say so."

Another playful grin.
He was enjoying the almost flirtatious exchange.
So exotic for him to talk like this. So new for him to be this way. But he knew that confidence was required, so he did it anyway.
Besides, he was already having a good time, and they weren't even bowling yet.

Grabbing a ball, size 14, a weird color stroke mix of white, cream, and pink, Noah takes his spot.
He walked up to the lane, breathed casually, and backed up a bit.
He broke into a quick walk, then to a slight jog, wound back his arm, and smoothly slid it out of his right hand onto the right side of the lane with a subtle twist to the left.
The ball flew in between 1 and 3, knocking every pin down but 7 and 10.
A split.
He turned around and shrugged, playfully.
"Rusty, I know."
Grabbing another ball of the same size, he throws again, in the same manner, hitting 10.

"Maybe next time. You're up."

He smiles and sits down, waiting patiently.

She watched him bowl and kind of giggled, although getting 10 was nothing to scoff at. She sighed a bit and then looked around. Lots of other couples as her usual playful demeanor left while he was bowling.

She felt like.. Something was missing..

It wasn't family. She found her brother. All she had left.

She found a comfy job..

What was missing? What was it?

Though once she heard the last set get knocked down she perked back to reality. Looking at his score. 10? Not bad.. She smiled a bit stood up. Moving to grab her ball, A swirl of black and white. She called ahead and had it dropped off, it was a smaller ball, but it was from her childhood and just wanted to use it to get back into it.

She was having a wonderful time, even just the talking made her feel happy. She felt at ease. She felt something.. She never felt before. Lyndis was trying to figure if..

That was something for later.

Lyndis stood by Noah and looked at him with a smirk and then stuck her tongue out for a moment. Before concentrating on the pins.

She made a brisk pace then.. She let go. She felt rust but..

She turned away and then sighed happily as...

Strike.

She turned to it and then opened her eyes. All pins down. Sitting down for a moment.

"Mm.. Maybe it's like riding a bike~?"

"Nice."

With a slightly surprised tone, he smiled playfully as she saw all of the pins knocked down. Cute, he thought.

"Bike riding? I guess you could say that."

He nods in agreement.
The date was going well so far. Granted, it hadn't been long since they started. Despite this, however, Noah still annoyed himself.

Lyndis' playful attitude was adorable to him. He loved it. Such a cute woman was so easy to talk to. He was happy. There wasn't much doubt in his mind.
It was in the sixth frame when he got up.

"I'ma head to the restroom, I'll be right back."

He walks off into the bathroom where he fixed his hair, checked his phone real quick, turned it off again, and came back out.

"Still winning? You're better than I thought."

He smiled playfully, on a again, the recurring feeling of flirtation fresh in his head.
