Wrath felt a small smile creep onto his face, revealing his fangs.

"A true duel, with an expert from ancient times when the art of sword fighting was formed, and perfected. Yes, my blade rarely thirsts, but to many are incompetents who believe that waving a sword around or madly hacking at or opponent is skill, that is for those who do not merely rely on fire arms and other more modern weapons. They seem to forget that once they run out of bombs and ammo, their modern technology is useless. Oh well who ever said that humans were intelligent."

Wrath let his cloak fall to the roof, and pulled his own blade from its sheathe. With a flick of his wrist he brought it into a defensive position in front of him.

"As you said, En Garde."

Wrath then took a step to his left, staying perfectly balanced by instinct, and his eyes observed Rayana's torso, waiting for the shift and tensing of muscles that would give away her move, while he looked for a weakness in her defenses as well.

(I am so going to have fun with you. ^^ Not in a bad way of course.)

The elder noticed he was trying to read her moves in advance and she repressed the smirk that was tugging at her lips. She tensed her left side muscles as if she was going to attack to the left. She of course was going to attack from the left while she really would attack from the right.

Indeed she had lived through the creating of the swordmanship in its greatest form, and she had had the occasion and more than enough time to get better. She started with a slash from right to left at the height of his face going down to his arm. The end of her move was followed with an immediate retreat a step back, just out of reach.

She then lunged at his chest, aiming to run her sword through him so it would end out of the other side of his back.

Wrath saw the tension of her muscles, and angled his blade upward to deflect her attack, until he saw her blade slashing at him from the right. Wrath ducked the attack, and rolled backward, coming up in a kneel and jumping to his feet even as Rayana's blade pierced the air where he had stood less then a second ago. Wrath brought his sword up back in a defensive postition, and launched his own attack at Rayana before she could regain her balance from her forward thrust.

Wrath quickly covered the distance between them, and began a series of high slashes, and cuts. His attacks were small and well controlled. As his sword hand continued his assualt, his free hand disappeared into his cloak, reemerging as he aimed a solid punch at Rayana's stomach, the hand holding his concealed punch dagger.

Rayana was enjoying herself, parrying the slashes and evading the cuts of the blade, she was paying attention to the younger vampire, appraising his skills with a blade. The movement of his hand going for another blade did not escape her notice, but she decided to play along and get her own set of blades out.

As the punch was thrown her way, she parried his last attack with her sword, allowing the dagger he had hidden in his hand to impact with her arm as she tugged her own dagger out of its sheath on her hip. Better in her forearm than in her stomach. A stomach or a bit of a kidney was more difficult to heal than an punctured arm.

Not waiting to pick the dagger out of her arm, if she did, it was sure to bleed a lot more than it was now and she didn't want that, she drew back the arm that held the dagger and lunged a quick attack at his neck while her sword made an upward slash that would have gutted any untrained twit, but she was sure he wasn't an untrained twit.

Realizing that if he held onto his dagger, he would be in for a world of pain, Wrath let go of the dagger rather than trying to pry it out, as an untrained fool would have. Seeing the dagger flying towards his neck, and the blade his gut, he reacted quickly. Wrath angled his sword so as to deflect Rayana's blade, the move should send it flying far out, into nothing leaving her open for a stab, and at the same time he used his newly freed hand, he lunged at Rayana's dagger hand. grabbing it to stop the blade from puncturing his throat.

Holding her dagger mere centimeters away from his throat, Wrath smiled at Rayana, "I was right, you are the best sword duelist I have ever had the honor to duel. This is the most enjoyment I have found in a century or two."

Not missing a beat as her precious sword was sent flying out of her hand, she tugged Wrath's dagger out of her arm as the younger vampire stopped her own blade mere centimeters from his throat.

"It is indeed a great enjoyement to duel you." She said poking his stomach gently with the dagger with the hand that was not currently being held by Wrath's grip.

"Do you yield?" She asked grinning.

Preparing for any move the other could think of doing, the black haired elder continued to smile.

"I must admit you are a good swordsman." She told. "Having you on my side would be a great asset."

True, there were not many around that were that skilled with a sword, they could be counted on a person's hands. She was one of them, but even if as a young vampire she could have lacked talent, a few millenias could provide with enough practice to become good. luckily, she didn't lack talent.

Wrath disengangaged from Rayana, and returned his sword to its sheath.

"The honor is mine, to have dueled someone so skilled, so, have you decided as to my proposition, and as for yielding, hardly, the night grows long but if you wish to continue I will do so, but if not, could you return my dagger to me."

Smiling, she swirled the dagger into her hand as a cowboy would have done a gun and handed the dagger hilt first to the younger vampire.

"A good attitude I must say, death before defeat has been my family's motto since its creation." She told still smiling. "I have decided to accept your proposition. Welcome to the club."

Her choice had not been that much of a choice, a vampire like that was too good an opportunity to pass up. looking around, her black eyes searched for her blade. not finding it, a suspiscion (sp) entered her mind as she walked over to the edge of the roof. Looking down, she saw her sword standing straight in the ground, about half the length of the blade and the hilt out of the ground and snow.

"Oh well, I'll just get it when I get down."

"Sorry about that, I hope no one sees it and grows supsious. Now, down to business, any orders.

Wrath idly put his punch dagger back in its hidden sheathe.

"Its okay, I just hope the blade wasn't damaged by the fall." She said while sheathing the dagger back to its normal place.

"Not for now, but if you happen to cross the path of a potential coven member, be it human or vampire, that you feel worthy of becoming part of it, try and bring them to me."

Picking up some snow from the roof, her arm was annoying her while it healed since it would not stop bleeding. She put the equivalent of a large snowball against the knife wound, stopping the blood flow as it freezed it litterally.

"I have a manor into town that you can feel free to inhabit if you do not have a place to stay."
