Wrath stood on the roof of the academy, gazing out on the grounds looking for his soon to be victim. Not a student or teacher was aware that evil stalked above them, as the pristine snow fell gently down. Wrath did not feel the cold, but the snow annoyed him slightly. The only reason he was here, was because he had heard that the one he sought came here often.

Rayana, the elder vampire, was out on this snowy night, out for blood, out for fun. Nothing could possibly phase her not even the fiercest of storms. The wind was pushing back her wavy black hair from her face, her vampiric aura being seen even through the snow. It was one of those rare moments where she was really being herself without the control over the presence she was sending around.

She was deep in thought as she walked up the mounts of the roof towards her favorite spot. It was away from the usual places where the students went, secluded and hidden. There was something nagging her though, as if hse had forgotten something that should have been obvious. There, she thought to herself as he nose caught the scent of another vampire, a young vampire, he could be no more than five hundred years old.

Her eyes levelled to the form she could now see in the distance, not bothering to hide her vampire signals. She wasn't feeling like reeling them back in. Her black eyes looked the younger vampire over, her calculating gaze taking the other's form in. The elder raised an eyebrow, silently conveying a question as to wether or not he wanted to talk to her or it was merely luck that they would both be there at the same time.

Her posture was nonthreatening, but any idiot could see by the cat like grace she sported and the confident steps she took that she wasn't one to be messed with and get out unscathed. It wasn't for nothing that she had earned her mastery in swordsmanship all that time ago. She had been set up against the best her kingdom had had to offer and won.

As Wrath turned to leave the roof, it being obvious that his quarry would not show, he sensed a prescence, one akin to something he hadn't felt for four-hundred years. An Elder approached. Turning Wrath saw a woman walking across the roof, he dark hair blowing in the wind. But he wasn't distracted by her appearance, his eyes were drawn to her movements. Here was a swords woman who could easily beat Wrath, and he had been the best in the kingdom he had grown up in during the Medivil times, not to count the training during the following centuries.

"Hello Elder, this is a chance encounter. I had heard that all the Elders had been slain, throughout the ages, and am gladdened that such rumors can be laid to rest. Is there something you wanted."

Wrath made a slight bow in her direction, glad that maybe this night wouldn't be a complete waste after all.

"Hello Elder, this is a chance encounter. I had heard that all the Elders had been slain, throughout the ages, and am gladdened that such rumors can be laid to rest. Is there something you wanted." was what the lanky looking vampire said to her as she approached.

The black haired elder simply raised an eyebrow, taking in the seemingly adolescent form of the other vampire. There was something off, she could nearly feel it, then it clicked, he had that sort of aura of those who had used blood magic. She knew because she had the same around her.

''You don't look like that normally do you?'' She asked, well, it was more of a statement than a question.

She approached some more, eyes roaming over him in a calculating way.

''This rumor I must admit i did not hear until today.'' the black eyed woman said. ''If they were all killed, I would not be here at this very moment.''

She was glad she wasn't dead, but she wasn't exactly sure what had happened to the other elders.

''Something I wanted?'' She told in an emotionless voice. ''Nothing but loyalty since I am forming a coven of those few who live on these parts.''

"A coven and loyalty, both I can understand and appreciate. Loyalty is such a rare thing to find, my entire mortal family tree has been slaughtered by my hands for their lack of loyalty. As for the rumor, mayhap it was only some fledgling using human drugs, who thought that because the Elders haven't been seen, then they are dead. The foolishness of the young. My own personal agenda has kept me away from the worlds, that of mortals, and of our kind. As for the Coven, I am intrigued. I have recently traveled to this Isle seeking my prey, and am seeking allies. It seems we can mutually benifit each other, you need loyal members to join your Coven and I need allies, what do you say."

''Your proposition is interresting.'' She replied.

She didn't really need to think it over that much, she didn't have enough vampires in her coven to be that picky. Not that he was weak or anything, but she wouldn't refuse cursed ones or even half blooded vampires.

''What assures me that you will not disapear once your goal is accomplished, because I have a vampire that it is its case.'' She said shrugging, ''it is a mutual agreement and I do need permanent vampires.''

It was all said in a detached way as she slooked at the snow falling from the various clouds. She turned her eyes to him and raised a questionning eyebrow.

''I am sure you will agree with me that such members are needed to make a successful coven.''

" A good point to make, but, after this kill my revenge will be finished. I have taken a likeing to this Isle, and with my long hunt drawn to a close I will need to find amusement elsewhere. I feel this island and this school in particular will offer such amusement for a few centuries at least. Besides I would rather work with you then against you, and I would rather not have an Elder and its Coven hunting me, should I choose to leave."

Wrath spoke with equal detachment as the Elder, he would rather work with a Coven, rather than having them impede his hunt, but in his long life he had grown jaded, and only the hunt of his family roused his more powerful emotions.

The older vampire then knew he had some sense in between his ears when she heard what he had to say. Few vampires that had common sense would defy her, they usually steered clear of her. Well, the rest of the young idiots that were around she didn't even care for, except for those few who show potential. She could accept that in their young age they did not know how to fight, but it was unacceptable in an older vampire.

''I have only one question. Can you hold your own in a fight or would you be a helpless damzell in distress at the smallest sign of trouble?'' She said one eybrow raised.

If she was to accept him in the coven, at his age, she was expecting at least average skill in a weapon or another.

"Oh, I can fight, trust me. When I still drew breath, I was a prince of England during the Dark Ages. Combat was common and I was taught to survive. Before I was turned, I was considered on of the best sword fighters of my time. Since being reborn I have mastered this body and its powers, and trained myself to be a killer by the blade, in a world where the ungraceful gun was becoming the weapon of choice.

A smirk covered the elder's lips, she agreed with that, the guns were much less graceful than blades, but the damage they caused was very very useful.

"Indeed, even if it is less than graceful, the damage it can cause is more than useful from time to time." She said simply. "Personally, I have a liking for bombs."

It was said as if that sort of conversation happened everyday, that it was normal to talk about methods of killing people. She liked to destroy what she was after utterly without chances of getting back to its feet.

"One of the best? Maybe, but I need proof of that." She told, hand going to the sword strapped to her waist.

Unsheathing the deadly blade, she looked the metal over, finding no dent in it, she smiled softly.

"This blade has tasted many people's blood. I am sure yours has never been hungry either." She said with a strange note in her voice, as if it was nostalgy. "I am sure you would like to try your blade against mine."

She raised her blade slightly, she was now rerady to react to anything thrown at her.

"En garde!"
