"Ah, yes, fond memories. How about that time just a few minutes ago? ... Good times. Just a sec!" A grin, then he nodded, picking up the sandwiches. He was still making small talk with the girl behind the counter, who was giggling and nodding - that much was clear from body language.
".... ably isn't the best date food, but hey. Your guys' sandwiches are awesome. Thanks."
The girl nodded, her attention being taken by another customer, and Nix slipped through the tables and booths to sit next to Luna, brandishing the order.
"See? I'm not slow. I'm just not fast." he said with a smirky-smirk, until he looked at her face. She had such a wide grin on. Smiling like an idiot - but then, wasn't she smiling at an idiot? The thought brought a chuckle bubbling forth from his lips. "Hey, Luna? You still conscious or do I hafta pull you out the stratosphere?"

The moment Luna heard the word 'date' come from NIx's lips, she froze. This was a date..? He thought of this as a date? But...well...they barely knew each other..? Sorta? She didn't know what to think but...She was more on the happy side of the scale of concern versus excitement. Luna kept smiling as Nix walked over with the sandwiches, pushing aside her confusion.

"..Yeah! I'm alright. I guess I am still a tad bit winded from flying into a surprisingly sturdy glass door," she said whilst giggling a little. This guy was funny. She wouldn't be surprised if he started dishing out puns-wait. That was kind of a pun in of itself. Goddammit.

Assuming the sandwiches had cheese on them as well, Luna decided to drop a terrible pun first. "I think your jokes a little too 'cheesy' for my 'taste'."

Wow! Two in one. Still bad but she's gotta say, she was proud of herself.

"Two in one. Gotta say, I'm blown away." A cheeky grin, as he set the sandwiches down on the table and slid into his seat.
Waiiit.... OH SHIT right. He was supposed to be nice to Luna. What was it? Something something, chairs - oh. Right. He was supposed to -
"Here, lemme just.. get that for ya." Grabbing the chair's back with one hand, he pulled the chair out for her to sit on... and in the process made a sound that seemed to be a million decibels louder than it actually was. Oops.
"Heh... Go ahead, um. Haha." It was clear he was a little embarrassed, as his hand flew to the back of his neck, sparking a little bit as it did so. Why he couldn't get anything right was beyond him, honestly.
"Aaaanyways. You sure you're good? Glass isn't that fly-through-able. Seems it hit ya pretty hard." He took a sip from his coffee.

Luna made an amused 'pfft' sound at the bad pun he threw back at her.

Before she realized what was happening, he had pulled out a chair for her. Out of embarrassment, she held up her hands and said, "A-ah! Sorry I can do that it's-," cue the chair squeak. "...fine. Pfft. Nevermind, haha."

As she sat down, Luna answered the question Nix had asked about the flying-into-the-glass-door thing.

"Yeeeeah I'm alright. I think the worst thing that could happen is that I have a pain in my joints from the impact but...That's the worst thing like I said. When I was first sent here I vaguely remember something about 'oh the buildings here can't be harmed or harm when hit with minimal force' or something. Some crazy guy. Maybe it's a thing, maybe it isn't. He was probably drunk," she giggled.

Luna propped her head on her fists all child-like and smiled at the man-child sitting in front of her. "My turn for a question. Whatcha here for? In Manta Carlos. The school thing, if you're in it."

"Suuure." With the same stupid grin he leaned forward and replied to her, very smugly. "Weeeelll, I COULD brag. But let's just say I got a fancy university dorm thing. Super good. And I got Magical Studies - basically, the essence of why magic stuff ....well... magics." He took a sip of the obviously hot coffee, but didn't even wince. Just smiled and sighed. "Ahh, now THAT hits the spot. Good coffee - anyways. Yeah, I'm in uni. Are you at the school too, or?" Nix's expression switched from happiness to concern. What if she'd - No, no, shut up with the what-ifs. Shhh.

Luna laughs at his ego. She's certainly met people with egos of course, but not the 'oh I'm trying to be silly' ego... Basically, she always met douchebags with egos, not sweethearts with egos... If that made sense.

"Eeehh...no. I had my education elsewhere. But going off of what you said, I'm assuming the classes are good? I might just enroll in some college classes..." Luna drifted off when she noticed the look of concern on Nix's face.

"You... doing okay?" she asked whilst planting her own look of concern on her face.

It was nice, y'know. It wasn't that he didn't make a lotta people laugh - but damn, her laugh was cute! Sweet too. It wasn't often that he heard a laugh like that. So, yeah. Why not keep up the -

I mean, I dunno - if I didn't have uni I'd probably be out on the streets and stuff, begging for actual good coffee and probably stealing off of seagulls or something. Guess I'm asking if you're good for housing and whatever. But eh. It's only a thought. I'm sure you good."

ONTO ANOTHER TOPIC. Probably something less depressing. Taking a big gulp of his coffee, he spread another shit-eating grin onto his face and resumed talking.
"Aaaaaanyways. Not to hype it up too much, but it is definitely A+ - I'm talkin' real fun shit, y'know? And I can actually see what the hell they're talking about, this time! Oh - right. You prooooobably don't know my powers yet. Let's just say I'm gonna get about 20% hotter." He snapped, and...
Welp, nothing happened, really. Except for the loud snapping sound, there was a slight fizzling sound, but nothing showed. "Aw, c'mon...."
He snapped again. Once. Twice. Thrice - and there it was. A niiiice little flame, about the size of a candle's flame, resting on his thumb. It even flickered a little bit. "What'd I say? Hot, right?"

Wait, he was concerned for her? But...Well, it kinda made sense why but they only had just met. He had assumed that because of no uni, no dorm, thus no home. Fortunately she was fine on that front. She smiled at the little kindness he showed.

"Im alright. I have a house...with someone living with me. Not the best person in the world..." just as Nix waved off the topic, Luna waved off her problems in that moment, and watched as he tried to light up his finger. His failed attempts made Luna giggle a bit. She humored him when he finally lit up his finger and gasped a little.

"Impressive! Did you learn these powers at uni? That's a nice candle flame," although she couldn't help but chuckle at how childish Nix acted. It was kind of cute.

"Very hot indeed," cue the wink.
