Private Finished A Cautionary Tale

"I'm glad you asked!"

Audric pulled a bag from behind him that he'd been hiding and pulled out a VERY realistic heart, setting it before Sam. Then some fingers. An ear. Eyeballs. All fake, but far too realistic for most people's comfort.

"How about those?"

"Oh, I'm definitely trying to get you to throw up, but these are legitimate selections from the shop."

Audric eyed jacky and pushed the heart closer to her to indicate she could eat it. Do it little cutie, put the final nail in this coffin.

"Being fair, I didn't think you'd be this squeamish. They're just decorations, Sammy!" He picked one up, the baby head, and took a big bite out of the cupcake.

"man do I expect the worst review on Yelp," Audric laughed before snapping his fingers for a waitress to come and take away the pastries, including the one he'd been eating.

"Well, I can't say it wasn't interesting but I don't expect to see you returning to my little shop anytime soon, eh?"

"Work? No, no, no, no," Audric said as he shook his head and laughed. "I own the place."

Then, he grinned down at jacky and scooped her up into his arms again, cradling her and stroking her soft fur. Ah, he loved petting animals. Not owning them, mind you. Too much work for him.

"I teased you and you're sorry? Man, you mortals are cute!" Audric went quiet as he stared down at Jacky, cuddling her gently and stroking her soft fur. Another moment of this and he gently set her back in front of Sam.

"It takes a Hell of a lot more than that to make me angry kid. Don't even worry about it," he grinned. "Coffee is on the house because I had fun fucking with you and as much as I hat sayin' it, I do gotta get back to work."

Unceremoniously, Audric turned and went into a back room about as abruptly as he'd been doing everything else to Sam today. Poor kid. Still, it had been fun.
