As Vito's driver picked up Pandora, Malara and the spiderlings from Malara's home (apparently, they were there to get taken care of Cat, of all people), there was one particular spiderling that wasn't there. Amber. She was with her mother, Chloe, in particular. Now, Vito didn't want to start anything, but he knew Baltimore wasn't the most gracious or fatherly figures around, and he heard Chloe was sick, too. Best case scenario, he could take both Chloe and Amber to the Rosales manor, but it would depend if she was receptive.

When the car finally stopped at the manor, they were herded inside to be with the rest of the family. Vito stood outside of the gate with his phone out, ringing Chloe's and hoping she would pick up.

"Chloe? What's yours and Amber's status right now?"

While she was sick, Chloe had Ozerchabal go out to buy a video game console, and some games for it. She couldn't exactly do anything productive in this state.

She forgot to pause the game when she answered her phone. Game over music played through surround sound. The first words out of her mouth after Vito's question were "Aw crap, I died."

She laughed when she realized that this could be construed as an answer.

"Ah, I mean, don't worry. I was playing a video game. I'm actually fine. The dude I was playing as is super dead though. Also I have Toskada disease so apparently that means I'm immortal already. Go figure. Amber has the one with the weird name that sounds like somethingpepsisomething and she's mostly staying in bed. We're using magic drugs to treat her symptoms though and I think they're starting to work."

Chloe realized how much she was chattering away. "So what's up Vito?"

Vito, in fact, did take that as an update of their status, but only briefly. He was ready send a whole group of gang members to pick Chloe and Amber up in that brief moment, however.

"You are? That's good news, I suppose, but the disease is why I'm calling. I had my men pick up Pandora, Malara and the spiderlings and take them to the Rosales mansion, but Amber wasn't with them. Is she alright with you? Can you take care of her? I'm worried because you're sick, too, and the symptoms are likely to mutate. I'd like to request that you and Amber stay at the Rosales manor for the time being."

Chloe needed a moment to process that statement.

"Wuh... I mean, why? You know we have about eight servants who can't get sick here, right? Amber is fine. We have a lot of help. Technically I don't have to do anything for her myself, but I'm making chicken soup for us sometimes so I can feel like I'm being a good parent."

She thought about it for a few more seconds. Then: "Wait, why Mal and Pandora and the girls all at the Rosales manor? I think I must be missing something."

"I wasn't sure if you did. Magical creatures were getting sick, even ones that couldn't previously. If things get bad there, you should have my number on speed dial, alright?" Because Vito knew he couldn't trust Gabriel Baltimore of all people to attend to them.

"Mal, Pandora and the spiderlings are at the Rosales manor because they're all sick. The alternative was that they were going to stay over at Malara's house to get taken care of by Cat, and that scenario seemed particularly horrifying to me. It's easier to take care of them when they're all at one place. Additionally, we also have servants that are immune to the disease. All in all, it's just a smarter plan altogether."

"Alright," Chloe told him. "I'll keep that in mind, but as long as the servants don't get sick, we should be fine." Her father was probably busy trying to take advantage of the situation. With any luck some fool would sell their soul for a cure which Chloe and Amber could also use.
"Oh, wow." That situation Cat had been stuck in sounded terrible for everyone. "Thank you for watching out for all of us! I wish I'd thought to check on them."

Chloe sighed. She shifted on the couch until she was lying down, feet hanging over the cushy armrest. "Oh, and, ah. I think I might have messed up. Since Amber's so sick and she's stuck in bed, I moved a tv into her room. I was thinking, you know, it could help her keep her mind off being sick. Is that...?"

Vito had advised her against letting Amber have a TV in her room before, and now Chloe was going against that. She felt like she needed to justify it to Vito, or to hear him approve of this exception to the rule. There were so few people Chloe felt comfortable asking for parenting advice.

"It's no problem. Rosales take care of its own." Malara, Pandora and the spiderlings were Klaus's family, and by extension, there were Vito's now, too.

Now, they were going to specifics, which Vito was a master at. He could remember the days of him taking care of his first daughter, Quin, how she got sick and how they handled it. He leaned against the wall. "TV and video games in her bedroom when sick should be fine, though you should establish a clear curfew. TV and lights off at eleven, for example. I only gave that advice because children are more likely to ignore schoolwork when the temptation of TV is nearby. Since she's sick, she deserves distractions from that.

"Also, depending on how much she's eating, either serve three big meals a day or five or six smaller ones throughout. Make sure she has access to water or juice all the time, so a water container in her room might be a good idea. Additionally, if you have the means, get a cooler or a mini fridge and stock it up with snacks. I know the mansion's large, so she might get too fatigued to make her way to the kitchen. It's better if she can eat whenever she gets hungry."

"Lemme write this down." Chloe grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. "Food and drink access. Mini fridge is definitely doable, and I've been meaning to get one anyway. I'll get Ozzy on it. I'll get someone on making sure she eats enough, too. She's a lot better at keeping food down now with the meds we got her, so I guess we can go to three meals a day like usual. And ah..."

The more she thought about the curfew, the less appealing it seemed.

"Well, we're both sleeping at weird times now. I'd feel bad if she was sleeping all day and I told her, you know, 'no watching TV now that you're actually awake.' But I do think I should do something to make sure she gets enough sleep. I just... I don't know."
