a bugs life

Woken from his nap, Ty reluctantly squinted at the ceiling, wishing that he could go back to sleep. His eyelids felt heavy enough, it wouldn't be too hard to close his eyes and try to catch another hour or so. However, no matter how much he tried, he couldn't manage to fall back asleep. The comfortable weight on his chest reminded him that Levi had slept with him again, and his arm came back up to wrap around his roommate, his fingers running gently from his hair down to his tailbone. It had been a day or so since the awkward declaration that Levi was his, and life had pretty much settled back into what Ty thought was pretty normal.

A faint sigh, and Ty turned his head, fading in and out of sleepiness. He wasn't fully awake yet, but he wasn't able to go back to sleep yet either. An awkward place to be, Ty resigned himself to waking up. His hand rubbed his face, feeling the tiny bits of stubble that had cropped up while he slept. Giving up, Ty sat up, nudging Levi off his body and to the side. He crossed one leg under the other, taking a moment to check his phone. He never had any new calls or messages, but he liked looking at the time and cleaning out his email. It made him feel a little more important than usual. He had slept through a day of classes, and one his professors had been kind enough to email him about the work he had missed. Not that he had cared too much.
Dropping his phone, Ty sat back on his arms, a movement on the wall capturing his attention. When he focused on the massive black spot, Tyberius realised that it had arms. And legs. Lots of legs. "Jesus fucking Christ, that's a fucking massive spider." It wasn't a normal looking spider, though. It was massive, and he could practically see the fangs from where he sat. Pushing himself out of bed, Tyberius tumbled over himself to put distance between him and the thing, dragging Levi as he went. "How long has that thing been there?"

<div align=center>It was a lazy day - although then again, every day was a lazy day for Levi. He spent most of his time sleeping, and if he wasn't sleeping he was eating or pestering Ty. Curled up against his room mate was probably his favourite place to be though, in all honesty, Ty was warm and soft and Levi could probably have slept for about three more hours if he hadn't been so rudely awoken. Letting out a surprised yelp and starting suddenly as Tyberius yelled, before he was yanked from his spot all at once. "What!? What's going on?" He squeaked, confused and disorientated. Until his gaze happened across the large black shape steadily making it's way across the opposite wall.

Apparently Shelob had infiltrated their dorm and was now steadily creeping across the wall, one long, black leg in front of the other. It was at least the size of Levi's palm and there was something incredibly menacing about the beast that he absolutely didn't like one bit. How long had it been in here? That was an awfully unnerving thought, it could have crawled all over him without him even knowing. Squashing himself frantically behind Ty and peaking out nervously from over his shoulder, the demon's dark gaze was fixated on the savage creature presiding on the opposite wall. Someone had better make like Samwise and stab it in the eye before anything terrible happened.</div>

Levi's panicked noises only spurred Ty on further. The monster paused every few minutes, and Tyberius could have sworn it was looking at them. It looked hungry, and Ty wondered how long it would take for a spider that size to dispatch two full grown boys. Levi was squished up behind him, using him as a shield of sorts. If the spider leapt, he swore he would dump it on Levi and fly out. No way was he going to face that thing.

Incredibly, Ty was feeling rather ... Drawn to it. Creeping closer, Ty quickly grabbed a shoe laying on the floor, holding it up at a slight angle. The spider flexed the front legs, as if it were encouraging him to just try something. Freezing in his place, Ty stared at it for a few moments, something stirring deep in the primal place of his brain. He wanted ... To kill it. Squish it flat. No... He wanted to eat it more than anything else. That Goddamn spider looked better than any meal he had in years at the moment. His eyes wide, Ty crept closer, the shoe in his hand slowly beginning to droop. His tongue flicked out for a moment, wetting his bottom lip before he bit it. Cautiously, he looked behind him at Levi, a confused expression on his face. "What... Should I do with it...?"

<div align=center>Ty was up and moving across the room, creeping forward to the edge of the bed, Levi leaned over, watching the scene that was about to unfold. "Do you think it's poisonous?" He hoped not. Levi didn't know much about spiders, but this one looked like Satan had personally delivered it from the depths of Hell to their bedroom wall. He almost felt a little worried for Ty, but as the man picked up a shoe lying on the ground, Levi decided he could probably handle himself pretty well. If he splats it with that he better clean the damn thing off the wall.

But Tyberius had dropped the shoe as he'd drawn closer, and something about his stance had changed. What... Should I do with it...? He had asked, and Levi's brow furrowed softly. "What? Why would I know?" He tilted his head to one side, "I don't know? Kill it? Put it outside?" What else was there to do with it? Levi wasn't letting him leave it there that was for sure, the thought of a spider climbing all over him while he was sleeping made his skin crawl. It was on his side of the room, as well.</div>

Levi's question about poison made him stop in his tracks. The last thing he needed was to be horribly disfigured from a rogue spider bite. He had seen those medical shows, he knew how poison could affect people. He had to be brave now, though. Tyberius shrugged, turning back now. He could kill it or put it outside. Those were two pretty good options. Though, if he put it outside, it might find their way back. Bending slowly, Ty had to pause each time the creature shifted to watch him. Grabbing the shoe once again, Ty squeaked in a very unmanly fashion as the spider finally made it's move.

The thing jumped, seeing the shoe back in it's attackers hand. Wanting to defend it's life and the tiny batch of children it had just planted somewhere, the spider fiercely met it's predator.
Ty, being caught unaware and stuck in the midst of panic, let his natural reflexes take over. However, instead of wildly smacking it with a shoe, his hand flashed out, latching onto the spider with two fingers and squishing the head before shoving it into his mouth. Chewing frantically, Ty realised what was happening before he swallowed, the wet and mangled black bug plopping to the floor as he realised what he had done. Bits of spider were still in his mouth, and surprisingly enough, didn't taste as horrid as he might have imagined. Content to dispose of what was already in his mouth, Tyberius considered pulling at the half chewed bug on the floor, trying to salvage whatever parts he cou--
What the fuck happened. Turning in surprise, Ty just stared at Levi, words not forming in his mind. He had no words to explain why he shoved a spider in his mouth and tried to eat it.

<div align=center>Excellent, it looked like Tyberius was about to efficiently dispatch the spider before anything awful happened, or someone got bitten or it leaped across the floor space and ripped out his throat. But then something else happened, and it happened so quickly that Levi was left wondering what happened. It wasn't until Ty spat something or the other out on the carpet that Levi got an idea of exactly what had happened. "Oh my God." Had he just tried to eat that colossal creature that had been scuttling around opposite him? Looking at Ty, and back at the chewed spider on the floor, and back at Ty again, Levi brought a hand up and smacked it to his forehead. "For crying out loud why did you do that?"

He wasn't sure whether to laugh or feel repulsed - at least the spider was dead now, he supposed, albeit not a very nice death. "What the hell are you? Jesus Christ, you're like a frog why would you do that!?" Tentatively pushing himself to his feet, Levi shuffled over to the mangled corpse of the arachnid that lay on the carpet, coated in a nice, shiny coat of saliva that made Levi grimace just a little.</div>

Staring down at the creature he had crammed into his mouth, Ty slowly stuck out his tongue before pulling it back in, a little ashamed to admit that he didn't mind the taste of the spider all that much. "I..." Really, Tyberius had no idea why he had shoved a massive spider in his mouth, other than the reason he was a little hungry and the spider triggered some strange instinct in him. There was just something about that monster that made him just want to feed himself, and maybe chew it up a tiny bit to feed to Levi.

Anger pricking at him, Tyberius huffed. "I'm a bird. Birds eat spiders." Nudging the slimy and still appealing body of the spider that lay before his feet, Ty wondered how badly Levi would judge him if he crouched back down and finished what he started. He didn't like being called a frog very much, and without thinking about his words, blurted out, "Aren't you supposed to kiss frogs, though? See if they turn into a prince." Flushing for a minute, Ty covered himself with a wicked smile that took his face as he clasped Levi's face in his hands. Sticking out his tongue, Ty made sure one of the pieces of hairy legs was sat in the centre. "Kiss meee, let's see if I turn into a prince for you."

<div align=center>Levi was as bewildered as Ty, he supposed this was those natural instincts that kicked in sometimes, and it left him wondering if this boy he'd ended up falling for was more bird than he was human. Shaking the thought away, his gaze flickered back up to Tyberius. Face going blank when kissing was mentioned, hadn't Ty just eaten a spider? Backing off a few paces and shaking his head, Levi was alright for now. "Uh... I... Think I'm alright, that's fine.. Just.. Eat the rest of your spider I guess, or something." Finding himself backed up against the bed, he frowned just a little.

"At least swallow the rest of it first." He squeaked. Levi would quite happily take far more disgusting things in his mouth - but a spider? Jesus Christ no. It wasn't very logical really, but apparently a spider was much worse than some of the things that had already been in his mouth. "It's fine, you don't need to turn into a prince, you're alright as you are." He clambered up onto the bed and shuffled steadily back against the wall, just a little reluctant to go anywhere near Ty at the moment. He didn't want to get spider near him.</div>

Ty followed Levi eagerly, his hands reaching out as he wiggled his fingers. "Nahh, this is much more entertaining." He was having quite a lot of fun with this whole spider terror thing, and decided maybe it wasn't so bad to eat the bugs after all. With renewed effort, Ty managed to keep the bits of mangled spider body in his mouth, trotting right after Levi. He was cornered on his bed, and Ty thought it the perfect opportunity to squish him into a kiss.

"But I'd be so much better as a prince. You need to kiss me, Levi." Wriggling up on the bed, Ty flopped over, whining a bit. He momentarily gave up chasing after his roommate to pitifully clutch at his side, even going so far as to lift his shirt for any visible marks. He couldn't see anything, but that didn't mean the spider hadn't gotten him somewhere. Twisting and turning his body around, he blinked up at Levi. "Do you see any bite marks? Something huuurts." Pulling off his shirt now, Tyberius dropped it on the floor, sitting up so he could examine his arms and chest more thoroughly. There was a tiny red patch on the inside of his arm, and he rubbed it gently, hoping that it was something other than a bite mark.

<div align=center>Squealing pitifully, Levi realized he probably wasn't going to be able to get away from this. The room wasn't very big and it wouldn't be long before he ended up with a mouthful of spider and he was dreading the moments before that happened. "You wouldn't do that to poor little me would you?" He squeaked, frowning and shuffling up towards the pillows. It didn't mean he wasn't curious though, what did it taste like? Ty had spat it out, that meant it can't have been very good. Though Levi wondered if it was the taste that had made him spit, or the shock of what he had just done.

"Is it... Good?" He asked, he wasn't really sure why he was passing up the opportunity to kiss Tyberius, but all he could think about were all those spider's legs scuttling around on the wall and he began to feel terribly uncomfortable about it again. Levi frowned when Ty began to complain though, "did it bite you?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. He didn't think the spider had dropped anywhere around him, Tyberius had grabbed it too fast for it to have gotten to him - unless of course it had gotten to him before they had spotted it on the wall. Pushing himself to his feet and shuffling over, Levi snatched up Ty's arm to get a closer look at it, he didn't know if it was a bite, but it was something or the other. Frowning softly, and pressing a tiny little kiss to the area, Levi dropped Ty's arm, and realized very much that he was now fully unprotected from spider-kisses.</div>
