A Boring Day

Natalia sat down on a sofa, grabbed the remote that was laying on the cusion next to her and contimplated turning the TV on. Wonder what's on this time of day... With that the whole television guide popped into her mind. Finally, after searching through them a few times, she finally settled on watching an old episode of M*A*S*H. It was obviously one of the oldest ones, she noted, because it was with Trapper John McIntyre instead of B.J Hunnicut.

Natalia would be doing her homework at the moment, but since she could access almost any information she needed, she had gotten it all done within fifteen minutes. Sometimes being able to do this kind of thing was boring and uneventful, so Natalia would do the homework as best she could without 'cheating'. But she didn't really like school so this didn't happen very often.

After the episode was over, Natalia was just about to turn the television off when she saw I Dream Of Jeannie was coming on. She sighed and set the remote back down beside her. She then moved her feet up beside her on the sofa and leaned a forearm on the armrest. Once comfortable, Natalia relaxed and watched the show, totally obsorbed in it.

Kristin tentatively entered the room. She saw a girl sitting there, totally engrossed in what she was watching. It sounded interesting, but she couldn't see the screen. She made her way over to the couch. I Dream of Jeannie? Never saw this show. Wonder if they even have it back home. Gathering up her courage, she asked, "Hey, do you mind if I sit there?"

Natalia thought about saying yes but refrained from doing so. "No, I don' mind," She said with her Russian accent. Just then the show ended and Natalia got the information to some of her favorite channels. She realized one of her favorite cartoon shows was on, but handed the girl the remote. "You can pick someting."

"No, you can keep it." Kristin said, handing it back to her. "I don't care what we watch." Not to mention I don't even know how to work those things...

Natalia shrugged and flipped the channel to the cartoon she had wanted to watch. It was kind of kiddsh, but Natalia really liked it for it was quite funny and had a lot of jokes and puns.

Kristin tried to be open-minded, but this show seemed to be geared for such a young audience, she couldn't believe this girl was actually interested. Well, at least this proves I won't be the stupidest one here. She couldn't help but think.

(( :o Burn!))

Natalia turned the TV off half-way through the show. It was stupid. She turned to the girl. "Im Natalia."

"Nice to meet you Natalia. I'm Kristin." She said, smiling as much as she could without showing teeth.
