A bored Pirate can lose their mind

Em was bored half to death... She sat in the mountain range playing with fire in her hands... She threw it up in the air bored out of her mind... She then threw her sword up in the air in a spinning motion having it plunge towards her.... She smiled and quickly and skillfully caught it by the blade without hurting herself...

"Em... okay..." Danica said.

How... strange. A girl playing with a sword. Where girls got swords from, Danica honestly didn't know, but she didn't particularly want one, so she didn't ask.

"And why," she continued, folding her arms, "may I ask, are you throwing a sword up in the air? And where did you get this obviously dangerous weapon?"

Okay, so she lied. She was curious, and decided to ask about the sword.

"It was a gift... And it's called practice... It's handy to be able to catch a sword flying thru the air in the middle of battle."
She said with a smile...
"And how do you know my name?"

Battle? What battles was she planning on fighting? This was school, hello. Not exactly a battlefield.

What was she talking about? "I don't know your name..." she trailed off. Ohh...

"Is your name Em?" She smiled. "I say 'em' instead of 'uh' or 'um' sometimes."

She smiled... "Oh.... I thought it was weird that I couldn't remember meeting you and yet you knew my name..." She smiled friendlyly... "So what's your name? "

Danica grinned slightly. Whatever.

"Danica," she said in response to the girl's question.

"So, just wondering, what battle is your sword for?" She nodded toward the weapon in Em's hand, and cocked her head to the side questioningly.

"I'm a pirate... I carry one everywhere...." She said with a slight smile and grin... "You never met a pirate before right?"

Danica looked at the girl strangely. Pirate?

"Er... not to be rude," Danica said, meaning every bit to be rude, "but I think you're behind about four centuries. This is the 21st, in case you got lost," she continued sweetly.
