Every jab she made at the ball he made sure to use his size to keep it out of arms reach. Slowly he worked his way backwards to the goal, keeping the ball shielded from Kyo.
"I never said you had to do that. I dont want any excuse when I beat you."
As he said his last line, he turned quickly towards the goal taking an extra couple steps and put a shot up, doubtful it would go in with how he put the shot up.

"If you say so." She shot back, her pupils constricting as she shifted forms and shot up into the air to grab the ball on its downwards arc. She landed light on her feet and was already dribbling her way back towards the half court line.

"But you're totally gonna lose" She called back to him, doubling back at the half line and starting to dribble her way back towards the net.

Stefan smiled as she shifted, jumped, and caught his ball. When she made her way back to half court, the demigod made sure to start closing the distance to her.
"We'll see about that."
His words shot back but still had a playful tone to them. Stefan knew he would have to use his strength against her, but was curious how much he would need.
When she started to make her way back towards the net, Stefan very quickly stepped into her path to stop her, knowing she could jump from the three point line. He braced himself for her to try to shoulder through him, but also watched incase she made a move to pivot around him.

He prepared for through and around, but there wasn't much to do about over. She practically spiked the ball into the ground in front of her and leapt up over Stefan to smack it back down behind him once it was past his head. Not a normal move, but still technically not a double dribble or travelling.
She was laughing as she kept on going past him, running all the way back down the court for a layup. She was having fun, genuinely, not thinking about any of her problems.

The laughing made it's way to his ears, and Stefan couldn't help but smile. Kyo seemed to be really enjoying herself and that was all Stefan wanted to have happen at the time.
But he still had a competitive drive in him. He turned immediately and ran back after her. When the layup came Stefan used the power in his legs to jump up and smack the ball against the backboard sending it flying.
He had easily gotten to almost shoulder height on the rim before coming back down. Blue eyes looked from behind sunglasses as his lopsided grin came out again.
"That was slick, I'll give you that one."

She stretched out her wing, making a very clear show of the sickle-like claw on the end of the digit. "I was worried if I tried to go around either that or my horns or tails would get you" She explained earnestly. It seemed like even while she was having fun she was always thinking about that kind of thing in the back of her mind.

"That's very good to be aware of. I actually have to do the same with my strength. If I'm not careful I could easily crush my girlfriend when I hug her."

It was a concern he hadn't thought about in a long time but was still conditioned for. He grew up breaking all sorts of things until he was able to start controlling it, even under stressful situations.
"You're very clever though. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
Stefan gave Kyo another lopsided grin. It seemed she was enjoying herself and honestly, he was too.

"The horns are a lot more dangerous than the tails. They're sharper, plus I really have to whip my tails for them to be dangerous." She added on. She had to make sure that he knew every possible danger she could pose. Her father had always told her that the most important thing was to make sure she never hurt anyone.

"This is the most dangerous, though." She stretched out the claw again. She almost sounded afraid when she said it.

"Man that looks like it could do some damage."
Stefan didn't let any fear slip into his voice, though he was very sure what Kyo said about it causing serious damage was true. He didn't want her to be afraid around him, even if it was just fear what she was going to do to him.
"So besides basketball, you hang out with anyone? Make any other friends? Well...assuming you think I am a friend."
Stefan sent out his lopsided grin to her. It was a little probe to see how things were going.

Things were not going particularly well, as it turned out. Her ears flattened back against her crest as she shifted on her feet.
"I don't, really. I haven't talked to any of my friends since- in a long time." She said, correcting herself half way through. She used to have friends. A lot of them. It wasn't like they'd left her, but she just hadn't been the same since what happened.
"I mostly just practice..."
