Tristan has short, dark brown hair. He has one blue eye, and one pure black eye. He uses red contacts to hide his eye color, though. Tristan is extremely pale, and no amount of sunlight can help that. His features are narrow but soft. He measures to around 5'6" tall and weighs around 120 lbs.
Personality Description:
Tristan is a very insecure young man. He is a kind person. He cares deeply about others. He longs to do what's right. However, he is also very scared of people taking advantage of these traits, so he does his best to convince others that he doesn't have them. He portrays himself as a smartass who cares nothing of anyone, including himself. He has played the part for so long, though, that he has recently started to ask himself "which side of me is the real me?" This question, and the fact that he has no real answer, upsets him deeply. However, the search for an answer also gives him something to strive for. As for his interactions with others, it depends largely on how well he knows them. At first, he'll be extremely polite. Then, as he forms an opinion of said person, he'll either joke around with them or joke about them. Then, if he feels he could trust the person, he just might tell them about how he feels about himself. Maybe.
Powers:
Spirit Summoning: Tristan taps into his demonic power to give a spirit semi-physical form and places it under a contract. The form is weak, especially to magic/energy, and only lasts for a minute. The spirit deals low damage, but has an average attack speed. He can conjure two at a time, but doing so greatly depletes his energy. Moderate Mana Consumption. Can be sacrificed to increase Demonic Possession's duration by five seconds.
Demonic Possession: Tristan unleashes his demonic blood, which transforms his left arm into a Shadow Claw. While this form is active, Tristan deals low physical damage and low magical damage with each attack. His attack speed slightly increases as well. Lasts ten seconds, and has High Mana Consumption as well as Moderate Life Consumption. Cannot be activated while two Spirits are summoned.
Biography: Tristan's parents weren't normal. His mother was a powerful witch/medium who conversed with the dead daily. His "father" was a demon who tried to possess her. He wasn't successful in the attempt, but he did manage to accomplish his overall goal: The medium was left with child, a baby that was half demon, half mortal. In other words, a potential Anti-Christ. When Tristan was born, he was a monstrous thing. However, his mother, using every bit of her power, sealed away his demonic power.
Having to give up her life and friends, the woman grew to despise her son, who seemed perfectly normal in all respects. She felt that the best thing would be Tristan's death. However, she couldn't bring herself to kill the boy. Even though he had cost her everything, he was still her son. Instead, she drowned her sorrow in alcohol. While drunk, she would beat him, but she never came close to killing him. Not at first. But, as the years went by, she became much more violent.
In between drunken stupors, Tristan's mother did her best to find employment. In doing so, she often moved from town to town, dragging Tristan along with her. Because of this, Tristan found it difficult to find friends. This was especially true in his early years, when other children simply found him to be "creepy." It wasn't long before Tristan understood that he was truly alone in the world.
Then, one night, as Tristan was quickly approaching eighteen, his mother went on her worst drunken fit of his life. She told him all about his father (which he had been led to believe was just some run-of-the-mill, no-good lout), about her past life (again, he had been misled), and about how he could have the potential to eventually destroy the world. She then proceeded to try to kill him with a knife.
After being stabbed in his hands and abdominal region, Tristan was grabbed by the hair of his head and the knife was pressed against his throat. The last words he heard, the last words his mother said to him, were, "I should have killed you sooner."
As soon as he heard that, everything went black.
Tristan woke up to an intense pain all over his body. He also noticed blood all over himself. He asked himself, Am I dead? Then he looked at his mother's corpse. He stared as he reached to her, appalled and relieved at the same time, but then he noticed something was wrong with his arm. He stared as the black, seemingly burnt mass of an appendage changed into his arm.
Everything went black again.
When he woke up this time, he found himself in a hospital bed, with a letter on the pillow next to his head. He didn't have the moment of peace one might hear about: he didn't forget anything about what had happened. Surprisingly, he didn't cry. If anything, he felt detached. Is this shock? he wondered. Even if it was, that didn't really matter. Something about the envelope commanded his attention. He opened it and read it, not truly believing what he read. Again, that didn't matter much. What mattered was that this letter seemed like a godsend.
Of course, he now knew better than to be sure of that.
Additional Information:
While Tristan is half demon, he had the demon blood sealed within him. Extreme circumstances caused the seal to weaken, and as such he can tap into a small amount of the power. The seal may decay more over long periods of time or in other extreme circumstances, or it may repair itself. As of now (character creation), he does not know what will happen.
Also, his strange eye coloration is a new occurrence. It would be safe to assume that it is a permanent manifestation of the demon seal "chipping." Tristan is unsure of how he feels about this, which is why he hides it using contacts.
