Darius met the end of the day with a small frown on his face as he watched a small, brown haired boy fail yet again at controling his power over earth, making the ground fall instead of rising it up as the task he had set in front of him at the beginning of their session demanded. By the time the school year had ended, he was the only one with this problem in his class and the human-shaped dragon had thus offered to tutor him during the summer break in order to make sure that the boy was ready, and in complete control by, his next school year. However, it did not seem like they would be able to achieve that goal today.

''Do not worry about it, Michael'', the teacher said, putting a hand onto the boy's shoulder once the alarm on his phone announced the time he had set up as the end of the session. Usually he would have offered him to stay for a few more hours despite this, as he thought nothing of sacrificing his free time to helping his students do better in their studies. Today, however, he was expecting someone else, thus sending a boy on his way to the dorm with a promise that soon he would be unstoppable. Once the boy was gone, he once again pulled a letter informing him about the arrival of one of his sisters to school out of the pockets of his jeans.

Looking over it, he wondered what she would be like, considering that she was one of the many siblings he had never properly met. The years he had spent away from home had been short in some, but longer in other ways. Short in a way that time went much slower for dragons, considering how long they lived. Long in ways that he now had many brothers and sisters he had never even seen, Syrilith being one of them.

''Well'', he thought to himself. ''I am about to find out'' He had asked his sister to meet him here, in his classroom, after he finished his additional class with Michael in order to properly meat for the first time and talk.

Syrilith was a bit late by way of being lost.. but soon a girl with silver hair streaked greatly with tints of teal.. and colors showing her nervousness, peeked her head in the door, With amethyst eyes the girl looked strange for a human..

"Umm.." came soft words.. "I.. Im looking for Darius.. Is.. he here?" She was shy, nervous, yet hopeful to meet her big brother..

''That would be me'', the man said softly as the silver-haired girl peeked shyly through the door of the classroom. ''Come in, Syrilith'', he said, waving his hand in a welcoming gesture as he noticed that her hair was streaked with a colour indicating that she was nervous about this meeting. He himself was calm, perhaps a little curious, and did not have to worry about his emotions expressing themselves in colour but could still understand how she felt, so he hoped to make her feel calm too soon.

The classroom that they were in was, like all of the other classrooms in which power control classes were held, not build like a regular classroom. Instead of tables and chairs, the room instead provided enough space for students to safely practise their control powers with various outside sources of water, earth and fire available throughout the said space. The fire stations were turned off however, and the water was standing still in its holders. The only evidence of power was the patch of earth somewhere to Darius's left.

''I am glad to properly meet you'', he added, walking to a small area that did, however, look somewhat like a regular school classroom, though it only held one desk and three or four chairs. The desk was meant for Darius to sit behind, though he rarely did so, as he preferred to be among his students as they worked. The chairs were also rarely used, mostly for detentions, but would still do the good job of letting the siblings sit down as they met each other.

''It has been a long time'', he said, taking a seat as well on one of the now three available chairs, not wanting to put a desk between himself and his sister as he got to known her for a first time. ''I have finished my schooling more than a half a century ago'', he continued speaking after making himself comfortable. ''During that time however, I decided I quit like it here, so after travelling the world somewhat, I returned and took the position which was offered to me. I've been well ever since then'', he finished with a soft smile, hoping to make the girl comfortable enough in his presence for her to lose the colour of nervousness in her hair soon.

Syrilith nodded as her hair faded back to its natural silver color. "I see.. I believe I heard some of that from mother.. I hear lots of things from our brothers and sisters through mother and father.." She said as she watched him. "I have only been able to manipulate and create two elements of the ones mother says I will grow into soon.. father is proud that I learned to hold my human form so soon.. But I suspect that I'll be in your class starting the new year."

She explained, since her things were I her room for now and she didn't remember what classes she had yet. "It's going to be interesting.. a school like this.. I still have a hard time believing a bird is a teacher.. I sware he's just a sparrow brother!"

''Ah, yes, Mr. Pickle'', her brother answered at her surprised statement with a small huff of amusement. ''He is quite a character, yes. His students seem to like him though'', he continued, relying what he had heard around the school, not having that much contact with older students himself, his classes being mostly aimed towards the youngsters and an occasional new student who had just arrived at still had trouble controling his or her power properly. ''You'll meet quite a few other characters like him around the school, both among the staff and the student body. It is that kind of place, after all'', he said, shrugging his shoulders lightly. ''It is a good experience, trust me, you'll be fine'', he finished smiling again. ''I have survived it after all'', he said, joking lightly.

''I myself haven't heard much'', he spoke after that, his tone growing a bit more sombre, but just a bit. ''But, that is my fault partly I suppose. I haven't been home in a long while'', he said, thinking how he mostly knew general things that happened, important things, like birth of new siblings, much of whom he knew only by name, like it was with Syrilith. He never could bring himself to return however, once he had left. At first the world was such a big place, with thousand other places to see, and then he had grown comfortable in his teacher position and did not want to leave his students just so he could make a trip home. It amounted to a lot of missed things, but, well, life was long, especially one of a dragon, and there was time to meet everybody yet, especially if they too decided to come to school one day.

''I look forward to having you in my class'', he said with a small, warm smile. ''If you wish some extra help, don't be afraid to ask for it. I'm already helping a student along during the summer. You are free to join him if you so wish'', he said, already wondering how his sister would get along with the boy under his care.
