That was an obvious foul.

Ardos climbed the ring in a swift movement and tore the cheater off his opponents by the back of his jeans. He punched him in the gut once, which made the cheater convulse in pain and release the dagger in his hand. Ardos smashed him against a wall.

"Were you dropped as a child!? No fucking knives in hand-to-hand! How many times do we gotta tell you fuckers!?"

Ardos slung him over his shoulder and kept a hand locked around his wrists, less like a sack of potatoes, more like a pig being taken to the slaughter. When the back door opened to the cool, breezy night street of the Underground, Ardos threw the guy out of the alley. He was slammed against a couple of trash cans. The guy was crying know, but the guy he stabbed was starting to bleed to death. This was a kindness.

"Next time I see you around here, you'll be worrying about much more than your money!"

Olivia was walking through the streets alone, normally this sort of thing would be super dangerous, but Olivia was tough, and her favorite gym was around here. It was in a rough area, but it was a rad gym, good equipment, good instructors, awesome!

But Olivia spotted another person on these streets. This Drow male was carrying someone around on their shoulder, and then he threw them into a bunch of trashcans! What the hell! Olivia bolted over to this Drow and put her fists up.

"Hey jerk! Why are you picking on this dude! You better apologize and help him up or youre dealing with me!" She widened her stance a bit and got ready to take this Drow on, she had never fought one, but apparently they were tough!

If Ardos were a more tactful person, he'd explain the situation. The facility protocol. The dying man on the floor. Unfortunately, Ardos was neither tactful nor patient enough in the face of accusations. He attempted to stare the woman down.

"I don't run from fights," he told her, hand on the hilt of his massive sword.

This Drow person had a sword, Olivia wouldve rather fought hand to hand, but she didn't expect this person who threw the dude into the garbage cans to die to play fairly. She had never fought someone using an actual sword, though she had fought someone using a kendo stick with just her fists. She figured that she might be able to catch the blade, and cover her palms with diamonds, but that was a long shot. Her diamond ability gave her the element of surprise, and she wanted to keep that as long as possible, she needed to use it discreetly or not at all. She kept her position and waited for the Drow to make the first strike.

So that was it?

Most people would run. Those people were smart.

Ardos unbuckled his sword. He didn't remove the sheath, but even then the sword would make a good bludgeon. (This human wasn't all talk, however — she had a muscular physique and an acceptable defensive position. He should be careful.)

He gripped the hilt of his sword and parted his feet. He put all of his weight into his grip and swung the sheathed sword sideways, aiming to hit her in the middle, with enough force to dislodge the nearby lamppost if it hit.

Alright, drow guy was swinging his sheathed sword toward her rips, she could still activate her powers and have them appear fairly discreet. She hardened the skin over the area where she was about to get hit with her diamonds, she wasnt going to stop the blow, but she probably wouldnt be effected by it.

She took the blow, and it pushed her over a fair bit, but she was alright! She charged in to throw a punch to the Drows ribs, she thought about using her diamonds for some extra power, but decided not to.

The fact that she managed to come out of that blow relatively unscathed surprised him, enough that he didn't move away in time when she landed a punch to his ribs.

That knocked the wind out of him. Ardos staggered backward, hand still gripped to his sword, and fell ass first to the ground. He took on a defensive position (legs wide, arms raised and ready to block) as he attempted to stand up.

Hecks yeah! That was a good hit! Couple more of those and that bully Drow would be done for! He had put his fists up to attempt to block any hit Olivia might throw out, she kept her own fists up and planned what to do next.

She made the motion like she was going to throw her right fist towards his face, but quickly changed it up and tried to trip him with her right leg.

Ardos dropped his sword to block her incoming fist. He didn't anticipate that she'd try to trip him. Fortunately, he noticed the leg swipe and moved his foot backward. Now that she was within range, he aimed a punch in her gut with a left hook, then her face with his right.

The punch to the gut would be easy to take, just coat the area the blow was headed too with diamonds. But the blow headed to her face was different, her diamonds wouldn't be able to cover her face, so she tried to grab at the drows fist with her own.

There was no way she could grab at his fist, it was just moving too fast, she took the blow to the face. But the gut, oh ho ho, she was excited to see how he'd react to that.
