She had finally met her roommate, and he was absolutely awful. The only respite she got from his baleful stares and yelling and complaining were when he was asleep. He did so mostly quietly, but he was still easily awoken by his nightmares, often screaming and yelling. Her shoulders were slumped, and hidden behind her glasses were the black smudges of a sleepless night. Earplugs...I must invest in earplugs... Lulu rubbed her eyes, blinking blearily at an alarm clock, stating it was 9:30 am. She still hadn't started classes; due to her age and weird timing, she would be starting two courses for the summer session in a couple of weeks, but for now she had next to nothing to do.

Suddenly, Lulu remembered her promise. She could at least visit the few friends she had so far yes? And she hadn't gone to Aurum's tower yet. Tiptoeing around Spirit's sleeping body, she quietly opened her closet, and pulled out clothes for the day. She waved a silent good morning at Warrior as she slipped into the bathroom to change, and splash some water in her face. And there she was, in yet another sweater and skirt ensemble. This time, a blue and white sweater, with a light grey tartan skirt. Topped off with her large blue hat, hiding the ears and horns, and she was ready.

Finding her way there wasn't too hard-Lulu had a solid sense of direction. Not to mention, the big tower was easy to spot. She entered the base door, and started up the stairs. What floor had he said he was on? She thought second, but the doors had names on them or beside them anyways, so she just looked for that. After a bit of climbing, she knocked on Aurum's door.

Aurum awoke sweating. His eyes adjusted to his bedroom. Sitting up he rubbed his eyes. The feeling of something impending of his past approached. Feeling the lies, the pain the guilt slowly coming to him. As he tossed the covers of his bed aside and sat the edge of the bed. Panting heavily as the awaking nightmare became a vision of sorts. Standing up he moved from his room through a door that lead into a room that was designed to look gothic. It was simple, but it worked for Aurum.

He started to get tea made as he knelt in front of a suit of armor from his time, It was broken and battered with almost no chance of repairs due to his equipment not having the same materials that they had with in this day in age. He heard a knock at the door. Someone to visit or to play pranks?

He stood up. Walking towards the door and opening it. Originally seeing no one as he looked down and saw Lulu. With a smile on his face he spoke.

"Lulu? What a surprise. Please, come in."

The lumbering hulk moved out of the way for the girl to come in as he tidied up a bit. Aurum was wearing what looked like to be a toga. Though it was very ornate of what was a wall scroll of a battle Aurum must have taken part in. He moved a bunch of books off of an arm chair. She would need to climb up on it though.

"Take a seat. Tea?" He said. Trying to figure out what to do with a guest that wasn't Aurora. "How are you settling into the school? Word down the grape vine is you live in dorms yes?"

He said making a small tea cup that had 'Aurora' on it. Placing it infront of her and then getting another one that was almost three times the normal size as he placed that one in front of a chair on a coffee table, well both the tea cups were on a coffee table.

"I hope you found the place okay."

He said. The room was filled with windows seeing all around the school, across from the door leading into the abode stood Armor that looked like it was from the future. It's silver chasis ruined as well as many wires exposed through out the armor. The rest of the room was filled with books, a broken laptop. Then the sound of 'Whir.. Whir... Whiiiiir' Entered the room as a floating skull with robotic eyes flew around the room.

"Please, do not mind Yggs. He tends to watch over the building in my absence." As the floating skull began to vacate through a hole in the ceiling.

The girl blinked up at him, and smiled after a second. It had only been a couple of days-how had she forgotten how huge he was?! She followed him into the room, eyes looking over everything. She barely noticed his clothing, eyes on her surroundings. Still, Lulu hopped up on the offered armchair, struggling only slightly.

"Tea would be lovely, thank you!" The chair was very large, and she couldn't help but feel a little like Lucy from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. She giggled quietly as Aurum set the china on the table. "Aw, I didn't think you were the type to label cups like this." She picked up Professor Aurora's cup gently. Aurora had been the one to lead her on a tour around the campus, and it was fairly obvious that she would be the one Aurum would have tea with on a more regular basis. Aurora was hardly a common name. The tiny girl looked at Aurum, a little melancholic. "I moved from the temporary dorms to a more permanent room yesterday. It's...well it's pretty tense in there. I wish I started school now, not in a couple of weeks. It'd be nice for a legitimate excuse to leave the dorm room." Lulu sighed, placing the cup down til the water boiled.

"How have you been? Did that package of parts arrive alright?"

Lulu jumped visibly at first sight of the floating skull. She could take many things in stride, but anything jumping out at her, or moving suddenly could give her a little shock. "Oh I see...Yggs...is it sentient? Or just programmed to be useful to you?" Her eyes met his normal and whizzing one squarely.

Aurum had gone over to grab a few tea bags for his and one for his friends as he put the 3 tea bags in his and then placed one in hers. "I had gotten one for Aurora since she used to come back and listen to this old Warrior's Tales." He said. Moving back to the kettle as he picked it up as it came to a boil and filled his little friends cup. Who had a look of gloom on her face.

Blinking a few times he thought he did something wrong. "Well should you require a need to leave, you have a seat here and I will shall get a cup for you to use when you are here." He said nodding his head.

"The package of parts did arrive." He said looking at the set of armor. The large bulking suit that looked like no normal man could move in it. That was made to fit him and him alone. "But were not what I needed to fix my gear." The armor looked like it saw better days. The shining Silver now a dull gray. The shining gold now a rusted copper. Even the joints would be exposing wires.

How to explain Yggs? Aurum rubbed his chin trying to find out how to explain it. "Well, he runs off of my energy. So he has some sentience so long as I live."

"Oh I see! I wonder if she comes to visit out of pure curiousity of the information, to keep you company or both. Then again she teaches music mostly, so I suppose she wouldn't be a pure intellectual like that." Lulu stared into space for a minute, before realizing her mug had been filled. "Oh thank you!" She waited for it to steep a little, picking it up and stirring quietly. No tapping of the spoon against the sides of her mug here!

Her face cracked wide with a smile of appreciation, and a little relief, at his words. "Thank you Aurum. I haven't started class yet, so I guess I'm a little at odds. I've not really met any friends yet, aside from you." Lulu said the last part matter of factly; she still had hope that once classes began, she would make friends.

"What kinds of parts did you need? Are they even made of normal elements and compounds as we have them on earth in this time?" She looked at ther armour his gaze was on, her eyes calculating. She'd read several thick textbooks on mechanical engineering; but it didn't take that to know when this was put together, it was a technological feat. "I can try and help fix it...maybe. Did you happen to have the bluerpints on you when you got sucked here?" She said the last part with a bit of a wry smile; there was no way he would have. He may have never even seen the blueprints.

"How interesting." Using humans as energy? Well, it was a little matrix-y, but it sounded like it could be a valid thing. Humans did give off a lot of energy in various ways that they just weren't using.

Lulu fidgeted, and took a sip of her tea, looking at the ground, at the armour, yggs, Aurum, and down. "Aurum....this is going to sound weird, but since you've been here...have you had strange dreams? Realistic ones....ones where you knew you were you, and odd things happened around you, but they all...are relevant?" She bit her lip, feeling a little crazy, and adjusted her falling glasses on her nose.
