Lestat Lay asleep on his hospital bed. The room was pure white. The curtains, the walls, the sheets, the bed, the window panes. Everything was a bright and pure white without a stain on them. The sheets smelled of fresh lavender from the wash and they were warm as ever. The cloth was light but kept the patient warm without falter. The floors were dust free and tiled with white but they had diamonds in them giving them a more entertaining and less plain look for the people staying in the rooms. The window was open just a crack to let s small breeze into the room. No one wants to wake up to a stuffy room, right? there was nothing in the room to entertain the patient though, not a television, not a phone, only a buzzer to call the nurse. Of course you could talk to the nurses but they have jobs to attend to not to mention this particular patient will hate their company once he awakens.

Aside the bed was a chair, white with silver legs to hold it up. It was a little low for most but comfortable nonetheless for those who want to visit their loved ones, in this case Flayace, Lestat's girlfriend. There is no doubt that he would be ashamed of himself and unable to look Flayace in the eyes after what he had done. he was surely to be taken as a monster, he would even be surprised if she had stayed by his side after everything.

Lestat hadn't awakened since he had been in the hospital for about two days. The doctor thinks he should awaken soon. Luckily there are 'special' humans there that can heal others but not in a fast way like he may have needed at the scene of his previous fight. Though it was enough to save his live. When he awakens, though, he will feel a lot of pain from what had happened him, mostly soreness and fatigue. Hopefully, Flayace wasn't too hurt by his actions.

Pushing her hair behind her left ear, she sighed heavily as she stepped into the place that she was now spending most of her time in. Walking in, the receptionist waved at her, and nodded to let her know that there was no news and that she was free to go see him. Tightening her grip on the gift she had brought him, she made her way to the elevator to go to his floor. Getting into it, she pressed the button and bit her lips as the doors closed. It seemed that he was still asleep, as the receptionist would have told her if he was awake.

As the doors opened to his floor, she sprinted to his room, as her urge to see him, even in the state he was in, was to much for her. Smiling as she reached his room, she cleared her throat before walking in quietly. Placing the bouquet of flowers she had bought him on the floor, as she wasn't sure where to put them. "Hey darling, it's me Flayace." She said as she sat down in the chair beside him. Pushing the chair a bit closer to him, she loomed over him with a smile. "I miss your voice." She laughed a bit as she placed her hand on his.

Lestat shuffled in his sleep while he lay asleep still from his previous battle. His face contorted into a mask like look as he shuffled due to the slight pain he felt in his sleep. He dreamed about nothing so he had nothing to occupy him from his pain. His eyelids twitched a bit and he attempted a stretch but was stopped by the seeping pain in is abdomen and chest areas. His arms were just really sore and so were his legs, it seemed that his little transformation had taken quite the amount out of him.

Trying to move to his side but failed again, due to the pain, Lestat opened his eyes wide and almost abruptly. His vision was blurred completely as his eyes were closed for an extended amount of time, longer than they should have been. His pupils were fully dilated and the whites of his eyes were blood shot beyond compare due to dryness. He looked around waiting for his vision to focus and within about 25-30 seconds, it did. He moved his head to the left of his bed and saw nothing and then to the right. To his surprise, Flayace was there and she seemed rather happy. A smile on her face even a smile chuckle reached the roof of her mouth. It was relaxing to see this. He didn't want to say anything though. Did she even notice that he had awakened?

A bit surprised as he seemed to be restless, she hoped that eh hadn't woke him up before he should have. Leaning in a bit closer, she smiled as it seemed that he was moving even more then a few seconds prior. Having an even brighter smile, she hoped that he would be able to finally open his eyes. It had been so long since he had even moved when she came to visit him, so this surprised her. "L-Lestat?" She said in a low voice, not wanting to wake him up if he was just having a bad dream. As gasped a bit as he opened her eyes, as a few happy tears rushed into her eyes. As he moved his head to the left, and then the right, it seemed that the expression on his face was very, dull. "Lestat sweetie, h-how are you feeling?" She was excited, worried and happy all at the same time. She smiled brightly for him, hoping that it would lift his spirits.

Lestat's eyes didn't leave her face as he only stared at her. He was amazed that she was still there for him. His neck was sore as well but he was able to move it with minimal pain so he did what he could. He continued to look her over until he looked at the flowers. The hatred that he owned before had basically faded when he had awakened to her face. It was the best thing he could have awakened to, in all honestly that's all he wants to see for the rest of his natural life though he knows that his life has a major flaw in it. he has a longer life than she does. His life span is nearly double hers in human years. But he wasn't thinking about that at the moment.

"Lestat sweetie, h-how are you feeling?" She said as she almost leaned completely over to him. he was unable to really say anything at first. His throat felt clogged with who knows what. he didn't know what to do at first but he forced it out, which may be a bad idea at first. As he tried to speak, he lifted his head slowly and opened his mouth. He almost couldn't get any air through his throat as he tried. Eventually he tried to hard and then cough up something into his mouth. It was a mixture of mucus and blood. This gave him sort of a head ache too though he spit it out to his left since Flayace was at his right. He didn't want her to see it. As he looked back to her, his voice was scratchy and low. "Th-this is--" He managed to get out but was stopped by the lack of air flow through his throat.

He attempted to sit up but failed as the pain was too great. It felt as if his body was ripping apart whenever he attempted to move. His face tightened and a grunt pushed though his mouth as he was forced to lye back in his straight position. he was a stubborn one so he would probably continuously try to move even though he knows the effects of this. he looked away from Flayace and stared at the ceiling unable to do anything for himself, until he realized his telepathy. Duh. He would facepalm himself if he was able to move on his own. Looked back over to Flayace slowly as he pushed his mind into hers. "I can't talk physically. Sorry..." He said as he continued to look at her, specifically her eyes.

Keeping the smile on her face as he noticed her, she was happy to see that he was out of his coma like state, at least for the time being. As he tried to move and talk, she really didn't want him to stress himself, which made her squeeze his hand a bit tighter. He was really all she had, and she didn't want to see him in any more pain than he already was. As he turned his head to spit something out, she wondered if he was really okay at all, or if the only reason he was awake was because of her. Turning back to her, as he said his first words to her in a long time, she became a bit sad at the sound of his voice. It didn't sound like him at all, which deeply worried her. Frowning a bit, she changed her attitude as she had to stay positive and happy for his sake. Putting both hands on his, she hated the feeling that she felt powerless to do anything to help him.

She wanted him to get better, more then anything in the world. As he stared at her, he was surprised and relieved to hear his voice in her head. "It's okay, don't strain yourself, you've been in better shape." She laughed a bit as she stared at him. Even in this state, she would rather spend all of her time with him then anyone else that she knew. "I'm glad to see you awake." She said as she nodded to him. Leaning in and kissing him softly on his forehead, she leaned back into her chair before continuing. "I don't know what I would have done if-" Flayace stopped herself as she wanted to keep it more positive as much as she could.

It was nice for Lestat to see Flayace in such good hopes and seemingly with a good mood. All he really had to do was look at her and tell how she felt. Not because her eye color changing with her mood, not because of her facial expression either. Lestat felt as if he had known Flayace all his life, and he has lived a long time. She was like his other, more calm and sensible, half. Not to mention he confirmed her mixed emotions as he was talking to her within her mind. He wasn't snooping though. When in someone's mind, you can feel what they are feeling since emotion is something that inhabits and is managed in the mind. Even still, Lestat was mixed about how he felt as well. Along side his pain, he felt angry at himself for acting the way he did, he also felt sadness for Flayace who had to witness it all. Not to mention his happiness of the fact that he got to see her as soon as he woke up.

As She leaned over to him and softly kissed his forehead, Lestat felt his heart blister with happiness. He was overjoyed but was still unable to move enough to express it. Though, unable to fully express himself, a small crack of a smile could be seen near the corner of Lestat's mouth. It was the least he could do with as much joy he was keeping inside. Though some of that joy faded as he heard what Flayace began to say next. "I don't know what I would have done if-" She got out before stopping herself. He already knew what she was preparing to say though. The cracked smile in his mouth never left though, even in hearing this. The reason is all from him. He knew that he was obviously loved if she was going to think of something like that and be unable to hold herself up right with knowing how Lestat may die. Of course he felt the same way but he knew that he would be just fine at least being able to live his life with her.

Lestat continued to stare at her with open eyes. His eyes still blood shot from dryness. He could really feel everything that was wrong with him. Luckily he didn't have any surgery done on him even though he seemed to be injured beyond compare. he was half demon though so he should heal slightly faster than a human would, actually he was already doing better than a human in the fact that he was still alive after taking such extensive damage. "Can you drop some type of liquid in my eyes. They burn more than ever. And if you don't mind, something to rehydrate myself?" he asked this of Flayace being that he was unable to care for himself at the moment. He could have asked her to call for the nurse though, but he already knew that he much more preferred Flayace to do it since he liked her much more than any other human on the planet.

Looking at him with open eyes, she didn't know what to think. She was scared but happy at the same time. She didn't want him to be in the hospital at all, as she would have rather that none of it had ever happened. That wasn't possible though. She was happy that he was at least awake this time of her visiting him, as she would always come here after school to visit. It was as if all of the times she had visited mattered more then they actually did, as if she was trying to show him that someone cared about him, that he wasn't alone. She wasn't going to blab on and on to him, as it would make no sense for her to try to make him realize how much time she had spent at this hospital.

Blinking a few times at his words in her mind, she kept a bright smile on her face as she listened closely. Apparently he wanted something for his eyes and something to drink. The drink wouldn't be too hard as there was most likely a patient room where water and ice could be found. She wasn't sure about something for his eyes though... Maybe water would work? "Okay, I'll go get you whatever I can find up here sweetie." She nodded and looked at him for a second before standing up from the chair. Looking around his room, there wasn't much that she could do in his room, as it was pretty much empty. "I'll be right back, okay? You sit tight and you know, talk to me in my head if you need anything."

She then walked out of his room, looking to the left and then the right. There was a room off to the right of her, she she looked back towards Lestat once more with a smiled and headed that way. She knew that there were rooms with things for patients as she had been in hospitals before. Walking up to the room, she pushed the already lightly open door fully back, revealing a brightly light room. Walking into it and looking around, she sighed in relief at the sight of a ice and water machine. Taking a glass from the cabinet, she put the glass under the ice part and pressed the button as the ice engulfed the glass. After a few seconds she then pressed the water button as it then filled with water. Sighing as she was happy that one of his requests had been easy, she grabbed another glass and filled it with water just encase that was the only option for his eyes. Grabbing both glasses, she quickly headed back to his room with a smile. As she reached his room she almost ran to him as she sat down in the chair. "I think this is what you wanted?" She tilted her head a bit waiting for his answer.

The brightness of the room was almost irritating to Lestat. He was only awake in the room for less than an hour now and he has already noticed, and rejected the look of the room. I guess this would be sort of natural given the setting of where he had grown up. His world was dark yet at the same time it was always light. To explain this further, the skies were always dark and empty. There was nothing there, not even a single star. yet on the ground and even some of the small stone huts that were built, there were different colored flames of varying brightness, color, and heat. An average human would have called it rather beautiful in a way, to see such flames but to Lestat and any other demons or hybrids in that abyss, it was depressing.

Aside from the horribly decorated room, Lestat had another issue at hand. His eyes were as dry as a bone and his throat was still clogged not to mention it was also dry. It lacked a lubricant, such as liquid, to let the mucus slide through his system. He had asked Flayace to do him this favor and bring him something for such a problem and so she went off to find such items to help. She left for only minutes telling him to talk to her telepathically if he needed anything. Well obviously he would since he can't scream for her at the moment anyways. But Lestat wasn't going to say something like that since she was so kind as to help him even after what he had put her through. It will take him quite some time to get over that and except that she was also gad that it was over and held no hard feelings over it, well at least none that showed on the surface.

Lestat stared at the ceiling as he awaited his girlfriends return. He was hoping that she wouldn't worry and rush to get what he needed because it wasn't that necessary or life threatening. Just something small that bothered him. Upon her returning, Lestat followed her around the room as she walked past the bed and back to her chair, practically running. She held two cups of water. One must have been for drinking and the other for his eyes, obviously. It didn't matter to him how she got it, but what mattered is that she got it in the first place. "I think this is what you wanted?" She asked as she looked at him and the glasses. "Yes, can you please poor a little water into each of my eyes...?" He asked with his powers. His voice was kind of low in her mind though. He was a little embarrassed to have to ask her to do so much for him but he was pretty much helpless, as if he was an infant and she was the mother. He thought of himself as pitiful really. His eyes returned to their vantage point on the bright white ceiling. He didn't want to look at her while he talked to her as he had a lot of self pity in his eyes. This way, she would be unable to see the pity in his eyes and focus more on getting water in his eyes, well at least that's what he was hoping.

Smiling at him, a light frown crossed her face as he looked away from her. Did it hurt him to look to the side, or was it because of what had happened? Blinking a few times, she followed the orders of Lestat in her head. She wasn't sure to how she would do it, as if she were to poor too much water in them then it would be useless. Trying to think of something to do, she couldn't think of anything that may be a risk to him. She could pour the water into some type of cloth or material and ring it slowly into his eyes, but then again she wasn't sure that there were any 100% clean things anywhere. Sighing she pouted a it more as she was out of ideas.

Leaning forward, she laced the other glass on the ground, as she loomed over Lestat, with the cup of water close to his face. "This, is weird." She giggled as she started to tip the glass slowly over this left eye. as a small portion of water went out of the glass, she quickly yanked the glass backwards so no more went in. She wasn't sure how it all felt, she she tilted her head slightly before asking him. "Are, you okay? Is there too much water?" She was worried that she had done something wrong, that it had hurt him in some way. Waiting a few seconds, she moved onto the next eye, doing the same thing, a wave of relief washed over her as she sat back down in the chair, having pour water into both eyes. Putting the glass onto the ground, she then picked up the ice and water fill one with a smile. "Do you, want something to drink now?" Flayace wasn't exactly sure as to how he would drink it, as he himself couldn't lean upwards, and Flayace didn't want him to choke. Maybe there was a button to push the bed upwards? She wasn't sure though, so she waited for Lestat's response.
