Personality Description: At a young age Zachary has experienced much, as such he can seem cold and dispassionate, though he often puts a lot more thought and insight into things. He is a natural born leader despite his begginings and maintains that status now as an adult.


Powers: Zachary is a garou, a werewolf, more specifically a Hakken, derivative of the shadow lord tribe of werewolves that follow the totem grandfather thunder, though Zachary follows the totem twister.
werewolves use rage and gnosis as the definition of their being. Rage is the power they use to fuel their speed and furiousity and fuels gifts that feed into that as well as shift the garou to any of the forms in the blink of an eye. Zachary has 8 points of this

Gnosis is a garou's spirituality. it allows them to connect to the umbral world and teach learn gifts. Most gifts that are mystical in nature cost gnosis. Zachary has 5 points of this.

Garou are inately connected to the spirit world and so they use gifts that they learn by speaking with spirits and getting them to agree to teach them gifts based on their rank earned through reknown from the glory, honor, and wisdom of their deeds. Gifts can also be learned from other shape changers or taught to other shape changers. Zachary's gifts are as follows:

master of fire- this gift allows the werewolf to heal fire as if it were a normal bullet or the like. Activating this gift costs 1 point of gnosis. (Fire normal deals damage that takes werewolves a full day to regenerate from). It is learned from a fire spirit. This lasts until current fire damage is healed but must be used again separately should any more fire damage be received.

Hare's leap- this gift doesn't cost anything but allows a garou to effectively increase his/her jump distance. It is learned from a kangaroo spirit this ability costs 1 rage.


catfeet-This Gift gives the werewolf the agility of a cat, making him immune to falls under 100 feet (he lands on his feet just right). He also has perfect balance even on the most slippery surfaces. Cat-spirits teach this Gift. This ability has no cost.

Grandmother's touch- The Garou is able to heal the wounds of any living creature, aggravated or otherwise, simply by laying hands over the afflicted area. The Garou may heal himself or spirits but not the undead with this Gift. A bear- or unicorn-spirit teaches this Gift. Each use costs 1 point of gnosis.



combat healing- This Gift allows a Garou to heal wounds during combat without hesitation or even a moment’s pause. While other Garou are licking their wounds, the garou with this Gift keeps fighting. Wolverine-spirits teach this Gift, although they usually have to be bested in combat first. this costs 2 rage points and lasts until the end of combat. Normally a werewolf would have to do nothing but focus on healing to heal during combat.

storm wind's slash- this gift allows the garou to execute a secret cutting technique, thus cutting an opponent from a distance as if they had been slashed with the weapon being used. A wind or metal spirit teaches this ability. This ability costs 1 rage for each use and has a range of about 50 yards.

bolt- the garou can call upon a lethal bolt of lighting to devastate his opponent. elemental spirits teach this gift (damage done is up to other player or reasonable for NPC). this gift costs 1 gnosis per use.

Amaterasu's needles- The Garou throws needles make of the sun's light at an opponent as a ranged attack. Any bonuses or weaknesses an opponent suffers from direct sunlight or fire applies but the needles don't explode and can be removed. An avatar of amaterasu teaches this gift. 1 gnosis summons 4 needles which must all be thrown simultaneously.

Clap of Thunder- The Garou slams his hands together and creates a mighty thunderclap that stuns those who hear it. This gift does not differentiate between friend and foe and some are just generally more resilient than others. A Stormcrow teaches this Gift. (Costs 1 rage)

Blood of the north- The Garou takes winter as his brother, infusing the spiritual essence of the howling cold into his very flesh and bones, allowing him to handle even the harshest of cold. A snow or winter spirit teaches this Gift.(No cost, constant)


Secondary: Werewolves are naturally immune to diseases and poisons. Strength speed and stamina all increase in crinos form (hulking man wolf form) and dexterity and stamina increase in wolf form.In addition they have 2 other forms: Glabro which would be like the werewolf from "the wolf man" movies of old, and Hispo, a large bear sized wolf. They also regenerate quickly though they have to typically be at rest in order for this to occur or at least drop everything in combat in order to do it. Lastly they have the ability to 'soak' damage, reducing the amount their body takes naturally before injuries get sustained.

Garou also have the power to "step sideways" into the umbral realm where the spirits of nature and the reflection of the world exist in sum and total. Normally this requires a mirror but Zachary has learned to do it without from his teacher.

power related weaknesses: Werewolves are severely allergic to silver. Silver causes damage that takes an entire day to regenerate and cannot be soaked. Additionally higher than negligible quantities cause a temporary loss of gnosis points at a rate of one for every medium sized object of silver or one for every five smaller items (such as bullets).

While werewolves can control their change, they are also subject to frenzy, a state in which they go completely insane and attack anything that happens to be moving (it appears as moving shades of red and they are equipped with the desire to change those shades to lifeless bloody smears). Spending more than 3 rage per post will cause this frenzied state to occur and it lasts until whatever was causing him to spend rage is no longer in the area, is dead, or until someone stops him for long enough to snap out of it.

Regeneration does not occur in breed form, therefore Zachary would have to be in a form other than homid to heal faster than a normal human would though he can still soak in breed form.

The full moon is dangerous as it is the moon his first transformation occurred under. During full moons, spending more than 1 rage per post will send him into frenzy. During the post in which frenzy ends Zachary can do nothing else.

Fire, under normal circumstances causes damage similar to what silver would do though it can always be soaked to a certain extent.

Time must be spent in the umbra in order to be able to use gnosis and remain in touch with the spirit world, likewise too much time can cause a garou to become a spirit themselves so a balance must be struck at all times.

Additionally a garou may only spend rage or gnosis in a post unless using a gift that states otherwise (rare).

Gnosis can only be regained by meditation in the umbra which can be difficult given the tumultuous nature of the place.

Rage restores in situations in which the character would get angry such as when taking damage or being truly insulted.

A garou who looses all of his gnosis is unable to regain rage though he may spend it, the act of regaining it simply isn't as intuitive as it was before. Additionally gnosis can only be regained by spending a full day in the umbra at this point.

A garou who spends or looses all of his rage is unable to stay in a form other than breed form (human/homid in this case). Though they may still use gifts that require gnosis they are unable to change into any of their forms.

A garou who runs out of both gnosis and rage has "lost the wolf" and if unable to regain rage, nor is he able to use gifts or traverse the gauntlet into the umbral realm and thus cannot regain gnosis. At this point the only way into the umbra is for someone else to take him there or to find a way in that doesn't require a natural connection to the spiritual world.


Additional Information:
Because of his mentor who mastered the houzuki ryujin style of spiritual arts, Zachary has been gifted with the houzuki horn. It is a large spike of sharpened werewolf bone that extends out of his elbow on command and be used in a fashion similar to a katana. The movements of the houzuki ryujin style are based on the most efficient ways to use the horn but can also be used with regular kicks, elbows, knees, and punches.

The horn is made of bone but regenerates like a werewolf would but it doesn't matter what it's damaged with. It is supernaturally enhanced in that it can cut through objects that bone normally can't be sharpened to cut.

Worst Memory: The flash backs to his birth, being eaten by ants and crying in a trash can. Also having grown up with no friends until his first transformation. The death of his adoptive parents.

Best Memory: Spending time with the parents who adopted him. Becoming friends with his current pack.

Likes: Chocolate, steak, swordfish, fighting, destroying monsters that taint natural sites on the earth.

Dislikes: being treated like a child, people talking to him as if they understand his inner workings, people who kill wolves.

Weaknesses: Zachary can be stubborn and self loathing at times. His temper at times can also be somewhat short.

Discovered how: the change came about during the first full moon in the fall months under cherry blossom trees.

How/Why they have it: Zachary was born to a human woman who was a marine and a werewolf so his traits were inherited as all legitimate garou gain their abilities.


History -

Father: unknown
Mother: unknown, it is believed that she is a marine as DNA tests reveal he is african american with native american and irish roots as well meaning that she is not naturally japanese.

Childhood:
Little about Zachary's childhood started out well. Tales his adoptive parents told him involved him being in a dumpster with his hands tied in his umbilical cold. Snow had started to fall and while it was unsure how long he had been there, it couldn't have been more than a couple of days. That night Mina Tsurugi and Juichi Tsurugi adopted Zachary, giving him the name because of an older boy they had met and because they didn't want to have him growing up not knowing his roots as an american or wherever he had come from. DNA tests later linked him to a woman named Suzan Korios and so they allowed him to adopt her last name despite that he would might hate her.
He made it to eight years old before tragedy struck again. His adoptive parents were murdered by a monstrous creature slashing through his house, black fur, claws, beak, bulging eyes. It destroyed everything he loved and the only reason he survived was because he ran.

He lived on the street for a year before the monster attacked him again. He was 9 years old and living in a box when the monster came, claws once more and gnashing beak poised when he lost consciousness. Flashes of imagery hit. He was in the body of something nine feet tall, slashing with claws, and then being pinned, once again the beak was poised to strike but another creature the same as him came from behind and a fist that crackled with electricity punched through the monster's head leaving black ichor and bits of skull on the ground.

That night he was taken in by Kuromaku Ishikawa and his life changed forever.


Teenage years:
Growing up he was taught business, beurocracy, law, and all of the core subjects under a private tutor with a class of only five other students. At the time Kuromaku was just eighteen years old and had a mage and a few other werewolves travelling with him, but together they managed to come up with the money for Zachary's training and tutelage. He was taught about the garou nation and the beast courts of Asia. The news was unsettling at first but he was guided through his first tests and finally joined Kuromaku's tribe as a Hakken, a werewolf the the beast courts and one of only three tribes of werewolves found in Asia.

Once he was accepted into the pack his training got brutal. Kuro pushed him to the breaking point and after many broken bones and injured pride he was finally able to stand tall with his alpha. The whole thing took a turn for the wierd when Kuromaku finally acheived his vengeance and destroyed a supernatural global corporation's head of staff and all the werewolf hunting and polution activities they commited was destroyed therein.

Things got bad again after his sensei went into the umbral realm to train. Any werewolf in the umbra for more than a month at a time would become a spirit and after a whole year Zachary had feared that Kuro had died. That was until he showed back up. At the age of 21 Kuromaku had figured out how to survive in the umbra indefinitely and had braved four of the 1000 hells (of which most couldn't even make it out of one soundly) and destroyed an incarna of the forces of destruction. Bearing this and his previous title as well as two new allies he had met when he came out of the umbra, they ran silverhart inc. as an agency with the goal of saving the planet from pollution and corruption. Tired of just talk the pack moved against the beast courts with Kuromaku and his right and left hand generals to force the beast courts to actually do something instead of just talking about it.

The plan failed horribly and once again Kuro was banished into the umbra,this time with his friends and to a place called erebus, a place in the umbra where garou were forced to burn in a pit of molten silver, healing just in time for the process to continue. The way out was guarded by a three headed dog, an incarna in and of itself and they remained there for six years while Zachary ran silverhart inc. in order to keep it from going under or falling to the hands of the corrupt thanks to the backwards beurocracy.

During the time away it was revealed that the elders of the beast courts were being manipulated, but everyone assumed the three dead. In their absence they gained something of a legendary title, but when they finally popped up after 6 years with even more strength and backing from the spirit world they were considered paragons and their protege were expected to do great things, thus Zachary was given even more responsibility even though he didn't have to run the company anymore.

Adult years:
As an order Zachary has been given the task of maintaining a foot in with Starlight Academy as the coming apocalypse has been prophesized to possibly be starting there. As the protege of a legend much is expected from him, but he has no where near the power or skill of his sensei.
