Entering before, Alex, Dalia would step into a world that was completely white and flat as the eye could see. There are a number of things in front of her that could be noticed though as there are an assortment of things lying across the ground and in the center of it all was something ancient in look, as it was made of brick, one of the kind of homes you would have seen in ancient Egypt or such countries from that era of time. It would be something that would be considered a antique at this point in time, but the greatest question of them all would be, how did it all get here, and did it have anything to do with the book that Alexander carried around with him?

Shortly there after a minute or so, Alexander himself would step into this reality and begin to take in every thing himself and look around a little bit wondering how all of this worked. He would look to the sky and see some kind of light or fixture that represented light was in place here. It was quite a lot to take in as he would eventually speak out to Dalia, not knowing if she could hear him or not. “This was not exactly what I was expecting but this is definitely odd to say the least.” He explained, and would eventually continued on. “We can be here for up to three hours, or until I open the gate again.” He added and finished with standing a bit amazed at the brick house in front of him.

Dalia entered the gate out of no real curiosity of her own. No, she just wanted to defy. To escape. To give a middle finger to the aunt who wouldn't even be herself around her in public anymore, but who would coddle and coo at the sister who'd abandoned them.

So here she was, arms crossed and looking less unimpressed and more just irritated. Gently kicking over a case with her foot, she noticed a handle underneath it and reached down to grab a khopesh. Giving it a test swing, she nodded approvingly and held onto it.

"All this stuff is old. Three hours? I think we'll be lucky to last half an hour before we get bored."

At the very least, he expected to find an empty space, but it was quite weird to find things within. It was at least nice, if there were any issues in here, that he had a god of some sorts along with him. Dalia seemed to want to see what this place was at least a little bit, but she had little care for what happened to the things within, maybe he judged wrong. He wasn’t about to complain about it after she smashed a vase and picked up come kind of tool or weapon from underneath. Alexander was about to take what appeared to be a step, but that didn’t seem to work out as the young teen, tripped immediately after stepping in on something. To his surprise he had managed to catch himself enough to not fall flat on his face, but upon looking back, it was the one thing that would never leave his side.

“I was hoping, I would be able to escape it into here. I guess not. Maybe, this stuff shows how old the book is.” He stated loud enough for Dalia to hear him clearly as he picked himself and the book off the ground. It was a hypothesis that all of this stuff had to come from somewhere after all, it was a lot of random things, that all looked ancient to him. Alexander, himself took the time to pick up from the ground, what looked like a handful of old arrows, which from how things were arranged, a lot of them were scattered where he stood...odd. “This certainly is a lot of old things.” He finished with, wondering even more.

"You've never been here before?" Dalia said, quirking an eyebrow at Alex. She took off her hoodie and tied it around her waist like a sash as she looked around for other artifacts in the blankness. She picked up an Usekh collar, gold and turquoise with a scarab beetle on it. She put it on and picked up a shield as well. Taking a moment to glance back at Alex, she gestured to the artifacts she had picked up.

"Best to be prepared. Since you brought us here and don't know what this place actually is."

She cracked her neck and zeroed in on the brick house. "You wanna go in there? Looks like it's the biggest, most intact thing here."

Alex, nodded, in affirmation to the question that was asked to him by Dalia, not wanting to waste the time that they had within this dimension. “I have never been here before but the place gives me an uneasy feeling.” He replied after, looking amongst the things that scattered the ground til he found what looked to be a dagger, a knife of some variety. “I will also be honest, I get this feeling in here, like I’m being watched, like the sun beating down on me.” He explained, wishing he had the shield that was in Dalia’s hands, but that wasn’t an option and he didn’t notice on on the ground yet, either. Perhaps even this was part of the cost to the secret that had been presented to him, after all, the book was extremely vague on the effect, it would have on him, even while, it was still active.

“I agree though, that it’s the most intact thing, and it gets us out of this big glaring light.” He replied when she suggested that they go inside it perhaps. His eyes, would narrow looking at it, from what he could see it wasn’t showing any signs of wear, or damage, so it should be fine inside of it too. “ I will take the lead if you want, you might be a goddess, but I rather you not get hurt.” He explained, as he took a step forward, trying to do as he said, unsure as to whether she would listen or not. They would have to enter the courtyard first, before they made their way inside. Such would also be, their first like of trouble as a skeleton in clothes, covered in riches, laid along the wall inside, whoever went first.

"I've fought and killed scarier things than anything I bet is in that house," Dalia said somewhat defiantly when Alex suggested that he go first so she didn't get hurt. But then her expression softened and bit and she smiled apologetically. "Sorry. You couldn't know that. How about we just go together. I'll watch your back."

Following behind him, Dalia kept her shield raised and a loose grip on the sword. She was ready to attack anything that moved as her eyes shifted left to right and back again across the small courtyard. When they locked on the skeleton, her pupils dilated and she let out a long woah. "That's a lot of jewelry. You think it'll come to life and swing at us if we take it? Is this a video game dungeon, Alex? I'll totally fight it. Just say the word."

In some regards, he was happy and a little depressed in the fact that she was a goddess, part of him was happy to have such a strong partner for this adventure, the other stabbed at his ego as a male, that he wasn’t use to gods and other species. That would have to be the way things were otherwise, things wouldn’t progress, he nodded, in agreement that they should proceed together as this world wasn’t like any other, he placed his bets. So, they carefully made their way into the courtyard, his senses were open and eyes peeled as he looked around, he too was able to see the decorated skeleton. The comments and questions that Dalia made certainly made it feel like a trap, but wasn’t this too easy, if it were so, even he could tell a mile away that something was off putting. “As I said before, I haven’t been here, I didn’t even know this stuff was in here, this was meant to be a safe place...” he said with his voice trailing off as his eyes looking to the door. “...My only question is, what killed him, you can loot him all you would like.” He explained and waited, the dagger still drawn by his side.

He pondered to himself. Thinking of something clever to say for the time being, but that wasn’t in his nature to be aggressive like that, he would merely watch as she approached. As she removed a piece of jewelry, nothing occurred, hell even if she undressed the skeleton, it did not move an inch in response. To which, Alex was relieved of the stress of all of this. “You’ll probably look quite nice in all that jewelry.” He said with a smile, curious how she would take the comment. He had to think to himself as he looked to the door again, Daughter of a War Goddess, Goddess of the Hearth. “Sure is a lot of gods on this island” he thought to himself.

Dalia didn't loot the entire skeleton like Alex might have thought. She went over and poked it with the khopesh, knocking it over and jumping back a bit to make sure it wasn't going to spring to life and try to kill her. As if. No, Dalia inspected the skeleton and poked around on it a bit. She did end up taking a couple of things: a ring for each of her friends, a couple of pendants for herself, and a small handful of gold coins.

Standing up after she pocketed the loot, she turned and looked at Alex then looked away abruptly. "N-nah. Gold is more my... mom's thing. I just look gaudy in it. I'm more a- like- plain brushed steel kind of girl. Nothing fancy."

Coughing awkwardly, Dalia rolled her neck and gestured to the doorway leading inside the house. "So, uh, we doing this or... what? I'm starting to feel like there's not gonna be anything explicitly dangerous here. Which is lame. But also just. Whatever, ya know? But this is your old stuff storage shed. I'm following your lead."

“As they say, better safe than sorry?” He stated back to Dalia as he looked forward and started to make his way to the door. He did however take note of what she had said to him prior and took a moment to look over at the looted skeleton to notice, that some of the stuff was actually for the most part, still there. Wasn’t much of a door, as it was interesting to see a door as the more that he thought about it, was more of stone sealing off the entrance. Pushing against it, he managed to make it roll aside, like a much heavier sliding door, which slightly exhausted him, but they were finally open to enter the building which from the outside looking in at the moment two things looking like places to sleep could be noticed. Stepping further in though, Alex could peer around the room and see that the room hasn’t been touched in years, but most of all, on the two other resting spots, were two lying skeletons, a dagger beside them both. They both stood on opposite sides of the room.

“Well at least they have been here, long enough that we don’t have to smell decay.” He stated, thinking now, that nothing here has really affected their sense of smell. The last signs of things was something written in some kind of language other than Egyptian that everyone liked. (Note: It is in fact, Greek) “Can you read this at all, Dalia?” He asked. “I have no clue what it says, unlike the book.” He explained and left it at that for now, waiting for a response from her.

"Maybe," Dalia said as she followed Alex into the room. "That's like. Something. Let me see."

She moved closer to the words, stepping over the bodies in the process. White fire sprung to life on her hand, spreading to the blade of the sword so it shone like a torch. "Hm..." Dalia peered at the faded letters and eventually shook her head. "I was hoping they were hieroglyphics so I could make up a funny story from the pictures. Oof. Bad luck."

Dalia grinned back at Alex, clearly joking despite standing over too long dead human skeletons.
