Adeloise was wandering school campus -- totally not a surprise, but it was something one of her ghost companions discouraged her from. But she wasn't here, Adeloise reasoned, and she had all the freedom she has to do whatever she wanted and she wanted to explore the school a litte bit more! Stefan wasn't on her side today since he had classes to attend, so naturally, all she had for company was... oh, right. Adrien had also stayed to haunt her dorm instead.
Well that's a bust.
Adeloise was snooping around places she could reach, crawling down spaces under bushes and trying to climb high places she could reach when she found.. a rather lost flower in a tree. It was really strange to see if she had to say anything about it. Curiously, she approached the flower but as soon as she was close enough she found there was something--someone!--nearby that she squeaked with surprise.
"Oh gosh! You're so cuuute!"
It didn't take that long for it to sink in that it was a bad idea to startle the little thing. Adeloise held a silent gasp when she almost fell of the branch. She was almost nervous because she couldn't really be sure if she could catch her on time if she ever did! But she was safe and that was all that mattered. She couldn't pick up on what she said -- it sounded familiar but she didn't know what it had meant. She probably needed to get language classes sometime.
"I didn't mean to startle you!" she said, in a much calmer voice. "It's just; I noticed there was an odd flower sticking out from the leaves so I thought I could check it out and then I saw you and I couldn't help it." Adeloise leaned closer a little to the small fairy, trying to peer through her hair. She was so small.... Adeloise could just squee from delight because that was so unfairly cute!
"I'm Adeloise by the way, what's your name? "
Adeloise was admittedly worried about how startling the little fae might have made her terrified but it all went away when she'd peeked out from behind her hair. When at last she spoke, Adeloise's expression lit up as she reached her finger out to return the handshake (fingershake?).
"It's really nice to meet you too, Olive!" she replied cheerfully, barely any hit of her own accent showing through. "The flower's really pretty, did you grow it yourself?" she asked, curiosity alight in her eyes. She wasn't all that magical, so honestly speaking, a lot of things people in the island could do amaze her so much.
"White flowers are nice, but I do like my pink flowers on occasion. They're really cute!" Adeloise said, reaching to the flower, lightly tilting it up to see it clearly. It was really a nice flower, Adrien would have liked to see this one. She turned to Olive with an encouraging smile, "You'll get to make your pink flowers eventually! I know it!"
As the little Fae turned a question to her, it was her turn to look a little sheepish. "It's nothing really special," she admitted, scratching the back of her ear, "I can see spirits everywhere, even the mild ones. I mean I don't think it's really special since some people outside the island could see ghosts too... And if anything it gave me a lot of trouble since not really everyone can see ghost and people just give me weird looks when I talk to ghosts."
