When Desmond called Shay up to say he required her assistance, she was more than a little confused. She'd never met a therapist that asked their clients for things -- but best of all was what he needed her help with. Bring a shovel, he'd said, meet him at the graveyard. Jee, wonder what those could be for? Either they were burying a body or digging one up.
When Eroshay arrived at the cemetery in a sleek black care, Shivani at her side and shovel held in one hand, she called out to him. "This is so very professional," she said, sarcasm dripping from every word. "What are we doing?"

So here we are at this creepy graveyard. Luckily Desmond decided to do this while there was a bit of sun left as in it was about to be night. He was honestly trying to avoid coming here at night for PLENTY of reasons but it seemed like fate had other ideas.
Anyway, Desmond had hit up his client Shay to help him do something he did not feel like doing himself. He chose Shay because his other choices was either super sick or off somewhere with friends so the last resort and most reasonable person he could convince to come to a cemetery with shovels was Shay.
When that nice sleek black car pulled up Desmond somewhat hesitantly approached it and clapped. "Hey you actually showed up and brought a shovel!" Desmond quickly hopped up his seat which was some random gravestone of a dude named Dusty Bill which read "Here lies Dusty, he was dumb enough to swim in acid." Poor Bill.
Desmond pulled out his shovel from a push and just smiled at Shay. "Alrighto Kiddo, I'm pretty sure you already figured out what we are doing which iiiisss.....DIGGING UP A GGRAVE! So yeah fun stuff??"

Shay might have been offended to know his other clients were somehow more reliable when it came to gravedigger than her. /Her!/ A mob daughter and an all-around weird kid in general. She was no last resort for this type of activity.
"Of course I brought a shovel!" She sniffed, indignant, before laughing a little. "What else would one bring to a graveyard to be prepared?" She paused and glanced at the Hellhound beside her.
Standing at six foot even at the shoulder, Shivani was larger than Shay herself was. She patted Shiv on the shoulder. "Desmond, this is Shivani. Think of her more as a bodyguard than a pet. She understands you. Blah, blah.
"So! What are we digging up or burying? Did you kill someone by accident or something?"
When Desmond answered her question, Shay pursed her lips but shrugged in some form of agreement.
"Okay.... which dude we digging up? Mind if I ask why?" More like what the hell?

Oh good she had a shovel good good. Desmond would just give Shay a slow clap. "You can bring a lot of things to a graveyard to be prepared...like flowers or smores... BUT in this case a shovel would be super duper necessary." Desmond glanced over to the hellhound and just stared at it.
"You brought your cool doggo along for the fun...and you are saying you don't have like secret service bodyguards following us?" Desmond looked around a bit for the bodyguards probably not going to spot any.
He motioned Shay to follow him deeper into this creepy ass cementary and noticeable slight flinch at killing someone comment. "You can say this somewhat involved that and now we are digging up the grave so come along!" Desmond was following some signs like strange little markings carved into the trees.
It wouldn't be a really long time before he and Shay would appear in front of this super sketchy handmade grave that was isolated from most of the graveyard. The gravestone wasn't even stone it was just two sticks tied together to look like a cross with some sign nailed onto it which read "Ronnie Rogers, He's dead."
"Better to not ask so many questions geez." He paused for a moment and just gestured to the sign. "We are digging up this guy there is stuff I need to get out of here."
Desmond took his shovel and jabbed it right into the grave. "As scout leader I command it is time to dig! If you don't mind it."

"I'm not going to eat smores with you at a fucking graveyard, Desmond. And I don't usually visit cemeteries in the middle of the night to hand out flowers." Shay deadpanned at him.
Shay glanced down at Shivani, too. The Hellhound watched Desmond with too intelligent of eyes and grinned in a very human way, but with sharp, red (like blood or fire) teeth.
"Shivani is one of my secret service bodyguards. I have others too. Don't bother looking. You won't see them." And as Shay had predicted, nothing was off when Desmond peered around. The night was still -- as if it were a sentient being and were holding its breath.
Shay noticed Desmond's slight flinch, even in the dark. She narrowed her eyes thoughtfully and shared a look with Shivani but felt it were smarter on her part not to mention anything about it.
She rolled her eyes at him, only half annoyed. "I'll ask as many questions as I deem necessary. You don't get to call me out here in the middle of the night without question. It's weird."
As Desmond took to digging, so did Shay. She would rather have gotten this all over with and back to her warm bed. Sometimes she wondered why she did such crazy things with her "friends."
"Be glad I like you."

Desmond looked at Shay with the face of someone who just watched their dog get kicked. "BUT SMORES ARE GREAT. C'mon if we had smores I bet you'd be eating them right now.... Well I would. I'm on the edge of starving."
Desmond stared at the supposedly secret service doggo and then looked around despite Shay telling him to don't bother looking. "So secret service assassins. Probably got a Sniper trained on me then. Meh. Cool."Leading the way to their destination....
Desmond began to dig at a fast pace since he wasn't really trying to be here all night. "Fine Fine ask SOME QUESTIONS IF IT EASES YOUR MIND." Desmond huffed as he continued to dig.
"Pfft Like me? That's a entirely bad idea kiddo." he would explain why but HE JUST HIT SOMETHING! "Guess I didn't bury the coffin that deep....looks like I actually didn't need help for this!" Haha whoops. Sorry Shay.
Desmond started digging out the dirt around the coffin and above it so that he could pull it out which was way heavier than he expected it to be. "I take that back I need help."

Shay thought on it and hated to admit she would totally accept a smore or two (or three). "Okay, you got me there," she admitted. "Starving, eh? Figuratively, I hope."
When Desmond stared at her, Shivani stared back. Too intense, too intelligent, and too fierce for any real dog to accomplish. Shay looked between them, deadpanning. "You two done?"
When Desmond led her to wherever they were going, Shay laughed at his assumption that she had a sniper trained on him. "Uh, no. I don't have a sniper trained on you. You only do that with possible threats, and you're harmless."
Yup, digging up a body. Nice. And one Desmond had buried himself. Questionable, but whatever, Shay hung around weird fucking people all the damn time.
"Not the first and not the last bad idea I'll have in my life, I'm sure," she said offhandedly.
When Desmond said he hadn't needed her help, after all, Shay threw up her hands as much as she could while carrying her shovel and huffed at him. "Gotta be fuckin' kidding me," she began as she turned on her heel to stalk off.
Only....
"Are you trolling me right now, Desmond?" Despite her annoyance, Shay dropped her shovel and went over to help him haul the casket out of the freshly unburied grave.
